If we move in, the government will pay for the road, the housing will be provided free of charge, and we will be able to get stable jobs, will we be able to move?" Kang Minghuai asked his family's opinion.

"Dad, let me tell you, some of my classmates have already moved here. It is said that a new settlement has been built there, and although a lot of the infrastructure is not perfect, the living conditions are a hundred times better than ours. Kang Minghuai's son, who graduated from high school, was the first to support.

Others are skeptical. But getting a stable job is more tempting than anything else.

After all, with the in-depth implementation of the "closure and prohibition of grazing" policy, their lives are becoming more and more difficult. If you can have a stable income, why not move again?

Such ideas have occurred in many settlements in the left and right banners of Alashan.

Behind the development project of the Alashan Desert Area is the support of the national system plan -- the government-led, the establishment of a cross-sectoral and multi-sectoral division of labor and cooperation mechanism, the policy guidance to organize the herders living in large areas of desertified land and the land facing the crisis of desertification to move to the edge of the Jiagu Development Zone, and the participation of the whole people to develop desertification control together with the economy and people's livelihood......

At the same time, Jiagu has also issued a call within the system to encourage more employees to devote themselves to desert development. In order to enhance the effect, the headquarters decided to increase the compensation of the members of the desert development team, as well as to favor the promotion opportunities more towards employees who have been involved in the desert development.

Inspired by the bright prospects, many Jiagu employees gave up their comfortable lives, left the workshop, left the office, and entered the Alachan Desert area with their bedding rolls - most of these people will be trained as grassroots cadres for desert development.

On the Internet, various environmental volunteer organizations have issued an appeal to all parts of the country: take action, let's go to the desert to plant trees!

For example, Du Junfeng, the person in charge of the Alashan Starlight Volunteer Association, immediately took action and issued an initiative to "join the greening project of the Alashan Desert Area".

He is a graduate of 985 University and volunteered for a desert management and development project in Jiagu three years ago. He was going to volunteer for a year, but perhaps out of reverence for life and his dedication to miracles, he persisted for three years.

After graduating this year, he became the head of the Alaban Starlight Volunteer Association, and gave up his job opportunities in a developed city in southeastern China to devote himself to the greening of the Arazan desert area.

After the initiative was issued, it attracted volunteers from all walks of life to participate, and Du Junfeng organized more than 300 people to go to the Alashan Desert area, becoming the first and largest volunteer team.

Many new volunteers participated in such a large-scale volunteer activity for the first time. Along the way, watch the sand dunes on the side of the road wake up under the impetus of the wind, rising and spreading unscrupulously. Wisps of yellow sand are like thousands of small snakes, silently and quickly crossing the highway one by one......

The sand dunes and the earthy smell of the air slowly silenced the excited volunteers.

It wasn't until the convoy approached the oasis developed by Jiagu that a touch of green came into view. Du Junfeng pointed to the green and said affectionately: "There are trees planted by me here. Every time I come over, I see that the yellow sand is shrinking little by little, and the green is spreading little by little. ”

"I believe that in the near future, with the efforts of unity, the desert will be defeated and the green will spread infinitely. And we, we can also proudly say that we have been to this sea of sand!"

The convoy arrived at the base of the Jiagu Desert without ceremony, flowers and applause. However, the hearts of the volunteers sitting in the car were hot.

After they got out of the car, Qi Zheng shook hands with each of the volunteers, then patted them on the shoulder and welcomed them to join the greening project in the Alashan Desert area.

After Qi Zheng was recognized, many volunteers couldn't believe it, and some even smirked: "I actually saw it...... The big boss Qi who is alive?" made Jiagu employees laugh for a while.

After the Alaban Starlight Volunteer Team, more volunteer teams of all sizes have arrived one after another.

Some teams arrived quietly, some shouted slogans, and some arrived singing songs...... The only thing that is the same is a determined force.

When the volunteers saw that the billowing sand and dust threatened Greater China, and when the volunteers saw that the country issued a call for comprehensive control of the Alayan Desert area, or to win glory for the country or expand the living space for the nation, everyone was ready to contribute their meager capabilities.

Qi Zheng still shakes hands with every volunteer and thanks them for their contributions.

Despite his best efforts to provide logistical support and subsidies, the conditions in the desert camps are naturally difficult compared to those in the city.

The water source is guaranteed, the shelter is guaranteed, and the communication is also guaranteed, but more conditions cannot be provided for the time being.

However, even such harsh camp conditions are not enjoyed by the volunteers once they go deep into the desert.

In the hot vast desert, they will use grass squares and shuttles to clothe the yellow desert with green robes, and use perseverance to carry the boring, monotonous, and repetitive work.

Such a power is terrifying, but it also contains vitality.

At least, in the eyes of Salman, a representative of the Saudi Ministry of Agriculture who came to inspect the development of the Jiagu Desert, such a scene is awe-inspiring.

With the deepening of Jiagu's foreign exchanges, more and more desertification control professionals have come to the Alashan Desert area to explore the sand control code here. Saudi Arabia's Salman is one of the most ardent representatives.

Due to the high overall income of the Saudi people, most of the population is concentrated in the cities, and there are very few people willing to take the initiative to engage in agriculture in the desert. Especially in the sweltering heat, even Saudi workers must not work more than 30 hours a week.

Even if the salary is high, you can't find locals who are willing to go to the depths of the desert to open up wasteland and farm, let alone volunteers like China, who are mostly young people, who can contribute their own strength just for the sake of their ideals.

With such young people, why worry that there is no hope for the country?
