Its status and identity are much higher than those of the Heavenly Emperor!
It is said that after receiving this great trust, King Jizo Bodhisattva reaffirmed his vow in front of the Buddha: "I will do my best to prevent calamity in the future, and for the sake of sentient beings in the six realms of sin and suffering, I will make it convenient and liberate myself, and I myself will become a Buddha." ”
Therefore, the Bodhisattva of the Earth abandoned the heavenly realm, held a tin rod and a lotus flower, voluntarily entered the evil path of hell, transcended the souls of the "sinners", and taught sentient beings for an endless period of time, without ending the six sins and sufferings of sentient beings, and never became a Buddha. The great wish of the Jizo Bodhisattva and the perseverance of the will are unprecedented for the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
Lighting the lamp on the ancient Buddha every morning into the Hengsha meditation and observing the opportunities. In the middle of the two Buddhas, there is no Buddha world to educate the great compassion bodhisattvas of the six realms. Patience is as immobile as the earth, and meditation is as deep as a secret treasure, hence the name Jizo. In Esoteric Buddhism, its secret name is the Sorrowful Wish Vajra or the Wishing Vajra.
And it has the cloud of the "Lotus Samadhi Sutra": "Tantuo Jizang turns into a hell road, holding a human head, the treasure bead hides into a hungry ghost road, holding a treasure orb, and the treasure seal Jizo turns into an animal path, stretching out the hand of the wishful treasure seal."
He holds the path of the earth's Tibetan and agro-asuras, and can support the asura with the earth, the one who removes the obstacles and the earth's Tibetan-humane path and removes the eight sufferings and obstacles for others, and the sun-earth-earth-Tibetan path of the heavens, and removes the sufferings of the heavens and people according to the five decays of heaven and man.
In addition, the earth, the heart, can give birth to ten thousand dharmas, and everything is born from this; the hidden and hidden also contain the immeasurable pure merits of constant sand, and there are meanings such as being able to generate, to carry, to take, to hide, to support, and to be strong.
And on the way to the underworld after death, the person is divided into seven stations by the Emperor Tianqi Rensheng! And the first stop is naturally the first level of the process of going to the underworld after death: the ghost gate!
Legend has it that after the death of a person, the three souls and six spirits were first taken away by the black and white impermanence of the underworld, and handed over to the bull head and horse face to be taken to the Ghost Gate, which is also the necessary level of the ghost country.
Yan Yun: "The ghost gate is closed, ten people go, and nine people return." ”
There are sixteen Shura ghosts in front of the ghost gate, and legend has it that the king of Yama specially selected a group of evil ghosts to come here to check the mountain, and they are extremely harsh and strict in investigating the undead ghosts and wild ghosts with bad deeds and malignant behavior, so as not to make one fool and pass the test.
Before his death, whether it was a high-ranking official or a common person, whoever came here must be inspected to see if he has a ghost country pass, and the road guide is the basis for reporting to the ghost country after death.
Lu Yin is generally 3 feet long and 2 feet wide, and is printed on yellow soft paper, with the book "This guide is necessary for the Fengdu Tianyu Yama Emperor to send to Lu Yin and the people of the whole world, so that he can go to the underworld to reincarnate and ascend to heaven." At the same time, the road guide is stamped with three seals of "Yin Si Chenghuang and Fengdu County Government". Whoever burns it when he is buried or cremated after death will come to the underworld with his soul.
The second level of going to the underworld after death is: Huangquan Road!
After passing the Ghost Gate, the next thing is a long and endless Huangquan Road. The soul of a person has to walk a long way to report to the underworld and pass many passes, so Huangquan Road can be a general term for these passes and distances, or it can refer to this road called Huangquan Road.
There are fiery red flowers on the Huangquan Road, which looks like a carpet paved with blood from a distance, and is also known as the "Fire Road" because of its red fire, which is also the only scenery and color on the long Huangquan Road, and people follow the guidance of this flower to the hell of the underworld.
In addition, there are many lonely souls and wild ghosts on the Huangquan Road, they are those who have not completed their yang life and are not normal deaths, they can not go to heaven, nor can they be reincarnated, let alone go to the underworld, they can only wander back and forth on the Huangquan Road, waiting for the arrival of the Yangshou before they can report to the underworld, and listen to the fate of the king of Yama.
The third level of the underworld after death: the Three Birth Stones!
However, there is a piece of bluestone on the side of the bridge called Sansheng Stone, the words on the stone body are bright red like blood, and the eyes can not be seen, and there are four big characters engraved on the top of the bridge: "Ascend to the other side early, reincarnate!"
Legend has it that it records everyone's past life, present life, and future life, the cause of the previous life, and the effect of this life!
For thousands of years, it has witnessed the pain and joy, sorrow and joy, laughter and tears, sweetness and sourness, debts that should be paid, love that should be repaid, and a write-off before the three-life stone.
After death, people go to the fourth level of the underworld: Wangxiangtai!
The Wangxiang Terrace, which is the earth platform where Meng Po and the stone are located, is in front of the bridge, not behind it.
Wangxiangtai is also known as "Homesick Ridge", here, you can take the stage to look at all the situations in the Yang family, so it has become a window for ghosts to look at the sun and a holy place for the living and the dead to contact their feelings.
Legend has it that after a person dies, "one day without eating the world's food, two days to cross the yin and yang realm, three days to reach Wangxiangtai, see relatives crying and mourning." ”
Before the ghost went to the underworld to report, he was very concerned about his relatives in the Yang world, although the ghost was severely urged and reprimanded, he still forcibly climbed the Wangxiang platform, and finally looked at his hometown from afar, cried loudly, and then went to the "Yin Cao Difu" with a dead heart.
It is "the ghost on the Wangxiang platform is in a hurry, looking at the eyes and tears." Wives and children sit on the side of the coffin, and relatives and friends gather in the mourning hall. ”
Wangxiangtai is said to be the place where the deceased soul said goodbye to his relatives for the last time.
It is also said that the underworld Wangxiang platform is very strange to build, the top is wide and the bottom is narrow, the face is like a bow back, the back is like a bowstring flat column, except for a stone level path, the rest is all sword mountains and sword trees, very precipitous. Standing on it, the five continents, the four oceans, and the rivers of the world can be seen.
Originally, Wangxiangtai was set up in the first hall, because Bao Lao Yan Luo was in charge of the first hall, because he was too merciful, mercy to death, repeatedly released the sun and stretched the snow, was demoted to the fifth hall, the head called the big hell and the sixteen heart of the small hell.
There is a medicine in the world called "dragon grass", which can make the dying immortal, but not the living.
After death, people go to the fifth level of the underworld: Lethe River!
It lies between Huangquan Road and Hades, the river is blood-yellow, and it is full of lonely souls and wild ghosts that cannot be reincarnated, full of insects and snakes, and the fishy wind blows in the face. Anyone who steps into it will be disturbed by the demonic power of those ghosts, making them crazy and ruined!
Of course, in order to see the favorite of this life again in the next life, you can skip Meng Po soup, then you have to jump into the Lechuan River and wait for thousands of years before you can be reincarnated.
In the millennium, you may see the person you love most in this life walking on the bridge, but words can't be communicated, you can see him, he can't see you; In the millennium, you can see him walk across the Nai He Bridge over and over again, and drink bowls and bowls of Meng Po soup, although I hope that he will not drink Meng Po soup, but I am afraid that he will not be able to forget the suffering of thousands of years in the river; After a thousand years, if your mind is still undiminished and you can still remember the events of your past life, you can re-enter the world and find the person you loved most in your previous life.
The sixth level of the process of going to the underworld after death: Meng Po soup!
Meng Po soup is also known as forgetting love water or forgetting sorrows, and once you drink it, you will forget the past and present lives. Meng Po generally distributes Meng Po soup at the head of the bridge, rather than giving soup to people on the bridge. Everyone has to walk across the Nai Ho Bridge, Meng Po has to ask if they want to drink a bowl of Meng Po soup, if they want to cross the Nai He Bridge, they have to drink Meng Po soup, if they don't drink Meng Po soup, they will cross the Nai He Bridge, and if they cross the Nai He Bridge, they will not be reincarnated.
A lifetime of love, hatred, and hatred, the ups and downs of a lifetime, all of which were forgotten with this bowl of Meng Po soup. The people who are concerned in this life and those who hate will be like strangers in the next life, and they will not know each other.
Everyone in the yang world has their own bowl here, and the Meng Po soup in the bowl is actually the tears shed by the living people in their lives, because when everyone is alive, they will cry: joy, sadness, pain, hate, sorrow, or love......
Meng Po collected their tears one by one, boiled them into soup, and when they left the world and walked on the bridge, let them drink them, forget their love and hatred when they were alive, clean up, and re-enter the six realms, either as immortals, or as people, or as animals.
Not everyone will drink Meng Po soup willingly. Because in this life, there will always be people who have loved and don't want to forget. Meng Po will tell him: The tears you shed for her life have been boiled into this bowl of soup, and drinking it is drinking your love for her. The last memory in the eyes of the person who came was the love of his life, drinking the soup, the figure in his eyes slowly faded, and his eyes were as clear as a newborn baby.
After drinking Meng Po soup, you can forget the pain and sorrow, sorrow and happiness in the world, as long as you drink her decoction, the old grudges in the past life and this life will be forgotten cleanly, and the next life will be a new person, the person who cares, the person who hates, the next life will be like a stranger, this kind of soup that people don't know is called Meng Po soup.
The seventh level of the process of going to the underworld after death: Nai He Bridge!
There are two popular theories about this bridge, one is called Nai River Bridge and the other is called Nai He Bridge.
"Cross the bridgehead of the Nai River and never look back". The bridge is divided into three layers, the upper layer is red, the middle layer is yellow, the lowest layer is black, the lower the narrower and more dangerous, the one who does good deeds in life walks up to the upper level, the one who does good and evil goes to the middle layer, and the one who does evil walks down the lower level.
The river is full of lonely ghosts who cannot be reincarnated, and those who have drowned are always looking for substitutes for themselves up and down the bridge, or left and right, so that they can be reborn. Those who go down the lower floors will be stopped by ghosts, dragged into the filthy waves, bitten by copper snakes and iron dogs, and tortured without relief.
After crossing the Naihe Bridge, you can lead to six places, that is, you will enter the six realms of reincarnation: the path of heaven and humanity, the path of asura, the path of humanity, the path of beasts (also called the path of side beings), the path of evil ghosts, and the path of hell.
Among them, celestial beings, asuras, and humanity all belong to the upper three realms, while beasts, evil ghosts, and hells belong to the lower three realms. As for which way to go, it is classified according to the good and evil deeds of the deceased during their lifetime. Those who have a lot of good karma are often assigned to the upper three realms, and those who have a lot of bad karma are often assigned to the lower three realms.
