Chapter 308: Under the Mist (17)

"Why are you in a place like this?"

Illuminated by the flames of darkness, Luna roughly counted the people in prison. Some people crouched in the corners, some people even had their upper bodies that had been whipped naked, and some even had missing arms. And these people in front of him are a total of eleven.

"I've already told that guy, it's useless to shout. However, he loves to shout, and he is clearly a fool. ā€

The person who talks to Luna is the one sitting in the southeast corner. This man's eyes were very oppressive, and when he stood up, he appeared much taller and stronger than the others. However, Luna couldn't see his face clearly, because the man's bangs blocked his right eye, and his sideburns covered his ears. So much so that Luna only felt his cheeks protrude.

"Who are you?" asked Luna.

"Burke Wolfe, a nobody, captain of these people. ā€

Burke's voice was rough. In manners, he behaved decently. Straightening out his brown coarse shirt, he walked straight to the doorrail and bowed to Luna with a smile on his face.

Luna knew at a glance that Burke was an easy person to talk to. But how could there be such a group of people here? She watched everything in the prison with confusion.

"A woman, how did you end up here?" said the man who stretched out his hands to Luna, and a guy with a round face and no hair said.

"Who are you?" asked Luna impatiently. She knew what she was here for, and she couldn't stand it when she talked to people three times and twice.

"Quentin Eddie, a priest. If someone needs healing, I can restore him to his original state. Quentin said confidently.

"Don't listen to him, Quentin will make the man's pain at best. As for whether that person can survive, it depends on creation. Said the person who was pulled away. Then, he shook his arm to receive the white healing light from Quentin's hands.

"Look, I do see you here. But aren't you going to ask me to do something?" Luna glared. It didn't look like she was going to help at all. Moreover, the words she squeezed out with all her might made the heads of those hiding under the south wall lower.

Abandon?

Luna saw what the men were trying to say. Or maybe they think Luna can't get them out, or they think that Luna is in league with their captors, and that Luna is just a woman who comes to see jokes.

"Forget it, you just stay here. Bard was killed in Mochizuki Castle. With that, Luna turned to leave.

As Luna expected, the doorrail squeaks as it shakes. She turned and looked at the faces of those who refused to lay down their dignity and prayed for mercy.

Some people, full of vicissitudes of life, have dazzling eyes. There is no doubt that they saw a hope. Others, on the other hand, remain reverent, praying to stay away from punishment and interrogation from their captors.

"You think I'm from here?"

Luna likes to torture people, so she simply magnifies the desires in her heart. She looked at the wounded people and couldn't help but want to laugh. If the hatred of the past springs up, Luna will be angry and let the prisoners go straight away. However, she had already seen who these people were in front of her.

"I mean, Bard, your captain, died in the Battle of Mochizuki Castle, not long ago. Luna repeated. She raised her voice, fearing that some people would not be able to hear themselves clearly because their ears were tormented.

At the same time, Luna uses an angry voice to warn the lifeless people crouching in the corner: "There are people who push themselves to the brink of despair before despair can get closer. ā€

Alive, waiting for a chance to get out......

Like, someone is whispering. However, this whispered response is not what Luna wants to hear. Luna examines it again, and when she is about to make a humiliating sound, she finds the man named Burke grabbing the doorrail with both hands.

"I've told everybody here about Lord Bard," said Burke, "and I was one step later than my brothers here to be imprisoned by Belton. It was an accident, just two days ago. So it looks like I'm a lot stronger than the people here. Yes, the people here are starving, which is considered the punishment of the lord of the manor. ā€

"It's a punishment......" From Burke speaking, Luna noticed that Burke was smiling. As if, Burke was the most optimistic of these people. In fact, Luna knew that a squad leader of a Meritorious Order of Knights would naturally take responsibility, and pretending nothing to happen in prison was also an act of motivation for her subordinates.

"So, what do you need me to do?"

Luna stared at Burke. She didn't really want to save the people here, but she wanted to get what she wanted as quickly as possible. She believes that these people in front of her are living evidence.

"Are you sure you're not from here?" Burke shrugged his shoulders. The first grab

In Luna's opinion, Burke was not shrugging, but cowardly. Of course, Luna guessed what Burke was worried about. She thought to herself, "Oh, this person in front of me is still wondering what I have to do with Belton." But what does it matter? Is it just because I'm pretending to be a little girl and eating a few more assorted fruits?"

"Yes, I'm sure. Luna thought it was funny, and replied with a smile.

"She's sure ......," Quentin said. He looked at Burke as if he were looking at a fool.

She was sure she said so. And, I think too. Burke muttered.

"Come on, you're the captain of the squad. Why do I feel more and more that you are unreliable?" Quentin stared at Burke in a daze, as if he was about to find a treasure map in Burke's eyes, full of the joy of searching.

Shaking her head, Luna distanced herself from the farce between the two in front of her. Gradually, she realizes that she is dealing with the Meritorious Knights, some people who are not in love with their predicament. "How could a woman come here for no reason. You think I'm here on Belton's orders?"

"No, I don't see it. I'm just, I want the brothers here to cheer up for fun," Burke shook his head too, "so ......"

"So what? You have to stay here!"

"What?" I said, ma'am, wait! Just for a moment!" Burke shouted anxiously twice, "It's just a joke, don't take it seriously!"

Leaving the gate, Luna had walked three meters briskly. Then she heard the same sound she had heard before she entered the place: clanging...... Jingle Bell......

Luna couldn't help but turn around to see what was going on. With a snap of her fingers, a dark fire emerges in front of the cell door, and Luna immediately sees a man sitting on the east wall. The man, with a triangular piece of armor, struck the leg armor.

"Blue, blue stars ......," said the man who beat the armor.

"What?" Luna began to wonder.

"I—I said...... Blue Star, we've taken a fight in Flying Town. The man who beat the armor continued. Then, he slapped his leg nails a few more times.

Hearing another jingle sound, Luna hurried to the door, "Glori Carlos, do you know where he's gone?"

"Yes, I know. Moreover, I had a fight with him. Boris, my name, is given by the Church of Light. ā€

Finding that Luna was tired of the beating, Boris voluntarily dropped the piece of armor in his hand on the ground. He knew that Luna was the one who could help him escape. Who's going to get rid of a guy who can help them? He reminded himself not to let his buddies do such a thing.

Church of Light, Luna sulked inexplicably when she heard this. She thought to herself, if it weren't for the deputy leader of the Church of Light, how could she come to this ghost place? A little dissatisfied, out of some kind of revenge or something, and concerned about the whereabouts of the blue star, Luna had to suppress the irritability in her heart.

"Tell me about it...... If I'm happy, I'll let you out of here. Otherwise......" Luna said in a menacing tone. Even, she held the dark fire in her left hand to her chest, so that everyone could see it clearly: a demon of order, right here!

"Luna, this woman will somehow help us. That's what our new head of the regiment said. For a moment, Boris spoke at a rapid pace. Although he whispered without confidence, the words were clear.

"Huh, he thought I'd be kind?" Luna started to get angry again.

"Yes, that's what Glori said. He said that in some ways, you are much better than some people. Although ......" Boris said, abruptly stopped.

However, no one interrupted Boris, and Luna knew it. Even in the dark, Luna knows who is doing something in the dark, or who is whispering to another person. To Burke, who had previously found himself whispering to Boris with his peripheral vision, Luna snorted coldly.

"Glori, do you think I can't get you out?"

Luna forcibly fights against the magical seal that seals the prison door. She pressed the dark fire in her left hand against the doorrail. There was a boom, and in addition to the falling masonry, the ground was shaking.

"Very well, Glori just thinks I can't get you out!" Luna blames Glori's taunts for the reason the door doesn't move. Because of the sarcasm, Luna feels unable to focus on the use of magic.

However, when the dark fire collided with the white magical light that appeared on the doorway, the white light completely illuminated everything inside the prison. As miserable as Luna had seen, even the smiling Burke was not spared among them. A smiling man who forcibly dragged his scarred legs acted as if nothing had happened. The others, in addition to those with injured ears and missing arms, are also the ones who make Luna pull their eyes and be ignored because they can't bear to look at them.

What terrible thing did Belton do to these Knights of the Meritorious Order? Looking at the people in front of her, Luna knew that some people would be permanently disabled, and some people would be forever looked down upon because of their psychological trauma. As the old enemy of the moon god, Luna is completely enraged that she has compassion for the humans in front of her, whom she hates. Could it be because of Glori's kindness?

"Dark Moon and Sun!"
