Chapter 6 What is a Taoist doctor?
According to modern medical research, theoretically speaking, the maximum life expectancy of a human being can reach 160 years.
And the old Taoist mentioned in the preface of "The Secret Recipe of Immortals" is more than two hundred years old, and his energy has no signs of aging at all, except for the change in appearance.
Therefore, even if he is not a true immortal, he can be called a half-immortal, and the name Immortal is indeed well deserved.
At the same time, just as it is well known that the author of "Treatise on Typhoid Fever and Miscellaneous Diseases" is the medical saint Zhang Zhongjing, in fact, according to research, most of the prescriptions recorded in "Treatise on Typhoid Fever and Miscellaneous Diseases" are taken from Yi Yin's "Tangye Jing", which has been clearly described in the "Preface to the Treatise on Typhoid Fever".
Through the preface of "Immortal Secret Recipes", it can also be clear that most of these secret recipes may also come from that half-immortal Taoist.
The page after the preamble has only a few lines:
Those who understand the Tao of medicine are Taoist doctors
If you want to get this, you must first enter the room
When the monastic path is achieved, the content is self-revealed
After getting the second volume of "The Secret Recipe of Immortals", Ye Fan took the time to consult the relevant information about "Taoist Medicine" from ancient times to the present day in his spare time, so as to have a general understanding of Taoist Medicine.
In the past, like many people, Ye Fan always thought that Taoist doctors were Taoist priests, and at the same time, they would use traditional Chinese medicine methods to treat diseases and save people.
After studying, I realized that, in fact, Taoist medicine and Chinese medicine do have a deep relationship, but the difference is also obvious.
Taoist medicine was first formed in ancient times, it is the accumulation of experience in daily life from Taoism to Gongguan Dade Taoist, and it is based on the "Tao" in the "Tao Te Ching" and the "Medicine" in the "Yellow Emperor's Neijing" as the basic theory and the theory of the five elements of yin and yang as the means of treating both form and spirit.
Traditional Chinese medicine is mainly based on the "Yellow Emperor's Neijing" and the theory of yin and yang and the five elements as the means of syndrome differentiation and treatment in the process of historical development.
Combined with the preface of this book, Taoist medicine should first understand the Tao of Medicine, which is not the same as Chinese medicine, but is significantly higher than Chinese medicine.
Traditional Chinese medicine is commonly known as Qihuang medicine, as we all know, the Qibo here refers to Qibo, Huang refers to the Yellow Emperor, the reason why it is called Qihuang medicine is actually to say that Chinese medicine is derived from the "Yellow Emperor's Neijing".
However, the reason why it is called a hundred medical skills is not a medical Tao is because Chinese medicine has not yet reached the height of "Tao".
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment is generally based on metaphysical organs, such as meridians, qi and blood, viscera, etc., although some may not be seen or touched, but they are all substances that do exist.
Different from traditional Chinese medicine, Tao healing will be based on metaphysical essence and vitality. In the process of treatment, in addition to considering factors such as external feelings, internal injuries, emotions, diet and daily life, fate, feng shui and even ghosts and spirits will also be considered.
In terms of specific treatment methods, in addition to traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture, decoction, gold stone, and massage, Taoist medicine will also use the star to prolong life, exorcise evil spirits and cure diseases, feng shui conditioning and Fu Zhen to exorcise ghosts.
Taoist doctors, in ancient times, were called "great doctors". Based on the Tao, in addition to the superb medical skills of the doctors, the doctors are also required to have a high moral cultivation and a heart to help the world.
Therefore, in order to deeply understand the word "Taoist medicine", the key is to clarify what "Tao" is.
Speaking of Taoism, I naturally have to talk about Lao Tzu's "Tao Te Ching"
The first paragraph of the opening chapter of the Tao Te Ching is extremely profound.
"It's a good way, it's a very good way. The name is famous, and the name is not very famous.
The beginning of the nameless heaven and earth, the mother of all things.
Therefore, there is no such thing, and I want to see it as wonderful, and as usual, I want to see it.
These two have the same name and the same name, and they are the same mysteries.
Mysterious and mysterious, the door of all wonders. ”
Through comparison and self-understanding, Ye Fan basically agrees with the following explanation:
The Tao is the foundation of the development of all things, and it can talk about earthly things, not the constant avenue, and it can say the name of the name, not the name of the constant possession.
Nothingness is the beginning of the creation of heaven and earth, and existence is the mother of the evolution of all things.
So, the eternal nothingness, we often want to explore its root and exhaustion.
Whether there are two or not, evolved from the same thing, but the names are different, they can be called deep and difficult to distinguish, chaotic and chaotic.
The change and continuous evolution of the Dao body, in the long-term course of time, has been showing continuous evolution and endless changes and movements, which is the root of the evolution and movement of all things, and the general door of the change of the Dao body.
Therefore, the Tao is natural, the Tao cannot be imitated, it can only imitate itself, it is a state of self-completion, as it is, thus giving the Tao a certain procedural absolute meaning.
It is also said, "The Tao begets one, one begets two, two begets three, and three begets all things." ”
The Tao is born from nature and earth, and it already exists when it is chaotic, this concept of Tao is invisible, inaudible, unspeakable, inconceivable existence, Tao is an infinite ontology that transcends all things in space, space, and space, and it is born between heaven and earth, but it is all-encompassing, ubiquitous, and manifested in all things.
Therefore, the meaning contained in the Tao itself is the basis for self-cultivation for all living beings.
Ye Fan continued to study the last two sentences.
"If you want to get this, you must first enter the room"
Seeing these words, a similar sentence immediately flashed in Ye Fan's mind, that is, in the "Sunflower Treasure Book" contained in Old Man Jin's "Smiling Proud Jianghu": "If you want to practice divine skills, lead the knife from the palace;
However, the first two sentences were jokingly changed by readers to the following: If you want to practice this skill, you must first go from the palace. Easy to understand.
Here, "if you want to get this recipe, you must first enter the room" means that you need to learn the secret recipe in the book, and you need to become a disciple of the Taoist doctor first.
As for the last two sentences, "the path of cultivation is achieved, the content is self-revealed", I don't know what they mean.
With questions, Ye Fan continued to flip back.
This is followed by a general summary of the book's table of contents:
Chapter 1: Theocracy (including Taoism, virtue, charms, possession, signing, mantras, fasting, sacrifices, prayers, etc.)
Part 2: Health preservation (including guidance, pranayama, inner dan, bigu, inner vision, atrial and so on)
Chapter 3: Shape treatment (including decoction, various pills and ointments, acupuncture, massage, etc.)
Among them, the first and second articles are combined into the upper part, and the third part is the lower part.
The second volume of the "Secret Recipes for Immortals" taught by the old director of the department has been studied for nearly half a month, and the description in it is the third article mentioned in the catalog, that is, the part of physical treatment, and these treatment methods are roughly the same as traditional Chinese medicine. The old director has held the lower part of the "Secret Recipe of Immortals" for generations, but he has not been able to make a name for himself. It seems that the key content of the book is hidden in the first two parts that have long been lost.
Now that by chance, let himself get the upper part of the "Immortal Secret Recipe", Ye Fan couldn't suppress the excitement in his heart and continued to turn the page.
However, soon he was dumbfounded.
After the general outline of the table of contents, it turned out to be a blank paper, and then turned back to the yellowed white paper, until the back cover, and there was not a single word.
Ye Fan's original excitement suddenly fell to the bottom, as if he had entered a 10,000-year-old ice cave.
Ye Fan's heart was cold, and he sighed secretly: Sure enough, the most worrying thing still happened, I haven't even won the last prize when I bought lottery tickets since I was a child, how could I suddenly burst out of character and get this long-lost Taoist medicine book. It turns out that this is nothing more than a trick used by later generations to fool others.
In fact, I should have thought that there was no papermaking at all during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and although the paper in this booklet is a little old, it will definitely not be more than 100 years old.
The second volume of the "Secret Recipe of Immortal Teaching" taught by the old director is a manuscript, and it may be genuine, and this half of the book in the beggar's hand must be a fake!
Thinking of this, Ye Fan became more and more depressed.
The sudden extinguishment of a newborn hope is far more painful than the pain of never giving hope, and it is not even the same as the two.
Ye Fan remembered a spy war TV series he had watched, the opposing team members extorted confessions from the positive team members, the positive team members were relatively determined, and they were not afraid of any torture or even the threat of death. After 10 days, he will be released, and if he does not confess, he will be locked up again in a closed cell. As a result, the players on the positive side almost didn't hesitate to turn back......
I thought of relying on this Taoist medical book to turn over, but now all my hopes have come to naught in an instant.
Ye Fan said in his heart: Is it really the sky that wants to kill me?
I'm not reconciled, I don't accept fate!
But I can do the same!
It is said that the immortals in charge of fate in Taoism are the stars of Beidou and Nandou, and Taoists believe that this is the real god of destiny.
The Nine Star Monarchs of the Big Dipper are the nine Star Monarchs such as Wenqu Wuqu, Broken Army Greedy Wolf, Giant Gate Cunlu, Zuo Fu Right Bi and Lian Zhen, while the Six Star Monarchs of the Southern Dipper are Tianfu, Tianliang, Tianji, Tiantong, Tianxiang and Seven Kills, and the Southern Dipper Star Monarch is also considered by many people to be the Antarctic Immortal.
We can find several star monarchs of the Southern and Northern Dipper, basically including the killing of wolves, Fu Lu Shou, Wenqu Wuqu and other immortals in charge of mortal luck, of course, Taoism calls the Southern and Northern Dipper Xingjun Si Ming Xingjun, mainly from the perspective of numerology.
Ye Fan has loved to dream since he was a child, as long as he falls asleep, even if it is only five minutes, he will definitely dream.
And I remember when I was in the third grade of elementary school, I was only seven years old at that time. Once in a dream, Ye Fan suddenly had a thought in his mind: Could he be dreaming?
So I verified it through various methods (including pinching myself without pain, etc.), and it turned out that it was indeed in a dream.
From then on, Ye Fan could know that he was dreaming every time he dreamed.
Because they will try to do a lot of things in their dreams that cannot be done in reality.
For example, going back to ancient times, going to heaven, looking for one's own idol obviously, and so on.
In addition, he also gave himself many superpowers, such as clairvoyance, downwind ears, teleportation, and flying skills...... Wait a minute.
What's more, as long as you activate your thoughts in your dreams, you can also direct your dreams yourself, just like a computer series, and achieve seamless connection in your dreams every night.
And the characters in the dream will also remind Ye Fan that it's time to get up and go to school, and continue next time.
For a while, Ye Fan was almost obsessed with dreaming.
He even hoped that he would be able to stay in his dreams forever and never wake up again. also gave himself a pen name, called Mengjun.
Of course, as the saying goes, thinking about the day and dreaming at night, those are some strange and childish thoughts when I was a child.
When I became an adult, the spring dream became the main theme of the dream! What went to heaven and earth, soared into the clouds, and those no longer entered the dream.
However, at this moment, Ye Fan's desire to "go to heaven" has never been so urgent.
I just want to ask Si Ming Xingjun face to face, what kind of fate do you want to arrange for me!
