The two monks also folded their hands in return, recited the Buddha's name, and said, "We are rude." Please wait a moment, and I'll give you a briefing. After that, a monk went in and reported it.

Soon, Ah Tai and Jia Ye led several monks out to greet these immortal envoys. Ah Ao clasped his hands together, recited a Buddha name, and said: "Several immortal envoys, poor monk Ata, this one next to me is Jiaye, we are polite." Please come in with me to meet the Buddha. ”

These immortal envoys returned a salute to Ah Ao and Jia Ye, and then followed Ah Ao and Jia Ye into the main hall.

When the immortal envoys saw Rulai, they all saluted him and said, "The little immortal has seen the Buddha. ”

The Buddha smiled and nodded, clasped his hands together, recited the Buddha's name, and asked, "The poor monk is polite." May I ask how many immortal envoys are here, why are they here?"

The leading immortal envoy said: "We are ordered by the Queen Mother to invite the great compassion and compassion of your religion to save the suffering and save the distress inspired Guanyin Bodhisattva to go to the Heavenly Court Yao Pond to go to the Pan Tao Victory Party held by the Queen Mother herself. The invitation is here, and there is also a letter, please come to the Buddha to see it. So saying, he handed the invitation and the letter to Auntie. Ah Dou took it and sent it to Rulai.

The immortal envoy added: "This 'Pan Tao Shenghui', the Queen Mother invited a large number of Daoist immortals, and she thought that the Western Pure Land of Bliss was a close neighbor and wanted friendly exchanges, so she specially sent me and others to send an invitation. ”

The Buddha received the invitation and the letter, and saw that the book cover read, "The Buddha of the Western Pure Land of Bliss taught the Buddha himself." If you open it, the letter reads:

"Since the birth of heaven and earth, all things have been nurtured by nature and earth. And we are the only few people who are favored by heaven and earth by chance, and get the luck of longevity with heaven and earth. And the purpose of our two religions is to save the common people and clean up the universe, so the two of us should be people on the same front. For this reason, I will hold a 'Peach Victory Meeting' in the name of the 'Queen of Heaven' when the peach is ripe for a thousand years, and I will specially invite the great compassion and compassion of your religion to help the suffering and save the suffering inspired Guanyin Bodhisattva to participate in this victory meeting, so as to enhance the relationship between the two religions. After reading the letter, the Buddha frowned, and then looked at the invitation letter, only to see that it stated the time and place of the "Pan Tao Victory Meeting", as well as the invitation to Guanyin Bodhisattva.

The Buddha closed the letter in his hand and said to the immortal envoys: "I'm tired of a few people, please go to the reception room for tea first." Guanyin Bodhisattva is now practicing in her ashram, and I will send someone to call him over now. ”

The three messengers understood that they were going to discuss the matter of this "Pan Tao Shenghui", so they bowed to the Buddha with great interest, and followed Ah Tai to the reception room. After that, if you come to it, you will immediately send Kaye to invite Guanyin Bodhisattva to come over.

After Guanyin Bodhisattva came, he bowed, recited the Buddha's name, and asked, "Buddha, may I ask why you are in such a hurry to call your disciples over?"

The Buddha said: "I called you here this time to discuss with you about the matter of this 'Pan Tao Shenghui'. This is an invitation letter from the Queen Mother of the Eastern Heavenly Court. She invites you to her 'Peach Victory Party'. After saying that, the Buddha handed the invitation to Guanyin Bodhisattva.

Then Rulai said: "The Queen Mother explained in the letter that this is a banquet organized by herself, and this is the first time that I have a Buddhist banquet.

Guanyin Bodhisattva took the letter and the invitation letter, and after reading it, he immediately clasped his hands together and said: "This is about the matter between the two religions, and the poor nuns dare not decide, so I will listen to the decision of the Buddha." ”

When the Buddha heard this, he thought about it, turned his head and looked at everyone present, and said, "Since this is about the matter between the two religions, what do you think about the people present?"

As soon as Rulai's words were finished, Fuhu Arhat said, "The little monk thinks this matter is inappropriate. This queen mother is also too annoying, she only invites Guanyin Bodhisattva, not the three Buddhas, what does it mean......?

Before the words of the Fuhu Arhat were finished, the Dragon Descending Arhat recited a Buddha name, interrupting the words of the Fuhu Arhat. The Dragon Descending Arhat said, "Senior brother, you can't talk nonsense. After all, we don't know each other with the Heavenly Court, and besides, it is the banquet hosted by the Queen Mother herself, and it is reasonable for her to invite Guanyin Bodhisattva only as a woman. ”

"Then the dragon descending Arhat, according to you, should Guanyin Bodhisattva go to this banquet?"

"Amitabha, the poor monk thinks he should go, but I don't think he should go with those heavenly envoys. Because if we can go there by ourselves, we can go around the mortal world of Dongtu by ourselves, so that we can understand the customs and customs of Dongtu. ”

"Buddha, I think what Senior Brother said is reasonable. Fuhu Arhat said on the side.

The Bodhisattva on the side spoke at this time: "The purpose of this banquet is to further make friends with the Heavenly Court, so that my sect can preach in the East openly, otherwise, if the relationship is stiff, it will not be good for us." ”

Manjushri on the other side said, "Then it is more appropriate for Guanyin Bodhisattva to go, she often goes to the mortal world to spread the Buddha's fate, and she knows better than me how to deal with these things." ”

The smiling Maitreya Buddha, who was sitting on the right side of Rulai, said at this time: "This opportunity to go to the heavenly court for a banquet is indeed rare, but it is also dispensable for us to go. It's as if we don't know any of their peaches. ”

When the Buddha heard Maitreya Buddha say this, he frowned slightly, and then turned his head to look at the position of the Buddha on the left, but saw that the Buddha was not there. If the Buddha is here, I don't know if he will oppose or approve, after all, the Buddha's cultivation, knowledge and handling are indeed convincing to Rulai.

After listening to the opinions of these people, the Buddha asked Guanyin what he thought. Guanyin Bodhisattva recited the Buddha's name and said, "This banquet is indeed a good time for us to enhance our relationship with Heavenly Court, after all, we are not enough for Heavenly Court to compete with now. If we don't go, it will make people think that we look down on Heavenly Court, and then it may make the Queen Mother and Heavenly Court angry, and the relationship between our two religions will be stiffened at that time. So, we're going to go to this banquet anyway. ”

If the Buddha thought about it, he felt that it was also, and he didn't know how the Jade Emperor handled the three old guys of the "Three Qings", although he had his handle, but in case everyone tore their faces, it would be difficult to do.

The Buddha nodded and said, "What everyone said makes sense, but at this time, we are indeed not the opponents of Heavenly Court, so we still have to go to this banquet." But when to go, how to go, let's discuss it with those Heavenly Court immortal envoys. "Then, let Ka Ye go and invite those immortal envoys over......

When those immortal envoys came, the ancestors of the Buddha asked them if the refreshments of the Great Leiyin Temple were to their liking.

The immortal envoys saluted and said, "The refreshments are very delicious, thank you for your hospitality." However, I have been here for a long time, so I would like to ask the Buddha if he has already made a decision about being invited to the Queen Mother's 'Peach Victory Party'. ”

The Buddha bowed his head and recited a Buddha name, saying: "We Buddhism were invited by the Queen Mother to participate in the 'Pan Tao Victory Meeting', which is very honorable, and naturally we have to prepare to arrive." Please go back and tell the Queen Mother, and I will thank her very much. ”

The leading immortal envoy said, "This, I'll wait for a few to go back, I'm afraid it's not appropriate." A few of us can find a place outside to rest for a while, and when Master Guanyin goes to Heaven with us, we will also lead the way. ”

When the Buddha heard this, he waved his hand and said, "We have understood the kindness of several people, but we still have some things to discuss, so as not to delay the time of several people." ”

The leading immortal envoy thought for a while, and felt that if he always urged others to lose face in the heavenly court, he had to bow and said: "Then a few of us will go back to the heavenly court first, and tell the news that the Queen Mother will be invited to the meeting of the Guanyin Master." I waited in Heaven for the arrival of Master Guanyin. "Actually, these immortal envoys are also unwilling to wait, such a big sect, how can it be necessary to let them wait.

The Buddha recited a Buddha name and said, "There are a few workers, and Ah Ao will send a few immortal envoys." ”

The leading immortal envoy said, "It's hard work. After speaking, several people followed Ah Tai out of the Da Lei Yin Temple. After that, a few people exchanged a few polite words with Ah Ao, and then went straight back to Heaven.
