There is no way, don't look at the coal everywhere, the price also has a certain advantage over oil, but if you want to use coal as a basic chemical raw material for deep processing, the cost is at least 30% higher than that of oil.
Even if it is not used in chemical production, it is simply used as a heat source for power generation, and its efficiency is not as high as that of oil or natural gas, after all, the thermal efficiency of the two is there, and coal is naturally much lower than stone and natural gas.
The key is that the use of coal will also produce a lot of pollution, and if you want to reduce pollution, you need to use professional desulfurization and slag removal devices, which virtually pushes up the cost of using coal.
Especially since the 70s, with the large-scale application of industrial gas turbines, oil and gas have immediately been like sleepy people meeting pillows, strong men meeting flower girls, which are a perfect match.
Especially in the deep opening of oil or natural gas, there is no need to do too much processing, and only the simple gasification or liquefaction of the extracted oil or gas can be used as fuel for industrial gas turbines, so as to generate a steady stream of sufficient power.
That's why industrial gas turbines are used on a large scale in oil exploration, drilling platforms, offshore oil and gas development, and petrochemical refining.
In contrast, the application of industrial gas turbines in the field of coal has been subject to many limitations, first of all, the thermal efficiency of coal is insufficient, when the temperature before the turbine of industrial gas turbines is generally about 1100 degrees Celsius, the work of industrial gas turbines fueled by coal gas is only equivalent to 32% ~ 36% of ordinary thermal power generation, and it is necessary to cooperate with steam turbines to do combined cycle in order to reach the level of ordinary thermal power stations.
But it is only 70% of the thermal power stations with oil and gas as raw materials and industrial gas turbines as the main kinetic energy.
The cost is 30 to 50 percent higher than that of ordinary coal-fired thermal power generation or oil and gas turbine power generation.
That's it, the key is that the service life of industrial gas turbines using gas as the main raw material is surprisingly low, generally no more than 3000 hours, and the reason is very simple, coal is a solid fossil fuel, and after its gasification and separation, even if it is done finely, there will be solid particles in the gasification.
It's just that at this time, the solid particles are only a few microns in size, and they are difficult to detect with the naked eye.
But these solid particles are a great test for the turbines of high-speed industrial gas turbines, the process is no less than two high-speed supersonic aircraft collide head-on, the destructive force can not be described in words, the working environment of the turbine is already very bad, coupled with the gasified fuel with solid particles such a toss, no matter how good the turbine can not withstand it.
Because of this, GE and other giants look at it, based on the road of coal chemical industry, not only do they have to spend a lot of money, but even if they get it, no one may buy it.
After all, oil and gas are already so cheap, and the supporting industrial gas turbines are so mature, who bothered to use coal?
In contrast, it is better to keep the basics and make the cake of industrial gas turbines for oil and gas better than anything else.

The pre-turbine temperature of 1250 degrees Celsius directly increases the proportion of power generation and hot sales of D-40T industrial gas turbines to 45%, and with the cooperation of steam gas turbines, it is 10%~15% higher than that of industrial gas turbine thermal power plants fueled by oil and gas.
Of course, more importantly, the D-40T industrial gas turbine solves the problem of damage to the equipment by fixed particles, which greatly increases the service life of D-40T, thereby further reducing the cost of use.
It doesn't take much, and this alone is enough to make the country's major coal-producing provinces rush to it.
What's more, it is said that Tengfei Group can also use the D-40T industrial gas turbine as the core to use coal to produce synthetic ammonia and other chemical raw materials, which not only dilutes the cost again, but more importantly, gives greater enthusiasm to the coal province.
