However, the positioning is not confined to the military, such as the Y-15 equipped by the Airborne Forces, which is actually positioned by the Tengfei Group as a multi-functional dual-use platform.
Because of the transformation of its interior into passenger transport, the installation of civil aviation navigation and communication equipment, the addition of luggage storage and toilet kitchen and other facilities, it is a typical 46-seat regional airliner.
With a designed range of 3,500 kilometers, it can immediately carry out air transport services in the Tibetan plateau and border areas, as well as medium-haul passenger transport services in inland provinces.
On this basis, Tengfei Group's plan is to develop it into a turboprop professional transportation platform, and when the 3500 to 4200 kilowatt WD-50J turboprop engine is fully mature, the Haidongqing A with a larger power engine will be further improved and upgraded, and its take-off weight will reach 35 tons, becoming an excellent turboprop regional model with a range of 4500 kilometers and a passenger capacity of 76 people.
In terms of military use, the deeply upgraded Haidong Qing A will be more flexible and have better performance.
Compared with Haidongqing's dual-use military and civilian use, Haidongqing A plus is a thorough military model, regardless of the size of the cargo hold, the take-off distance or the loading of items, it is completely designed according to the operational needs of the troops, and there is almost no doping with civilian things.
Therefore, the future of Haidongqing A plus is the signboard and foundation of the military transport aircraft of Tengfei Group, and when the WD-50J turboprop engine is the same as the core engine, the WD-50S large bypass ratio turbofan engine with 6.5 tons of thrust is put into production, and the maximum take-off weight of Haidongqing A plus will be close to 40 tons.
At that time, the upgraded Haidongqing A plus will have a payload capacity of about 18 tons, and the further improved cargo compartment will accommodate a Type 63 tank or an "air pickup" helicopter.
In this way, the combat flexibility and mission requirements of the troops will be greatly expanded, and the combat capability of the airborne troops, the southern amphibious forces, and the plateau and mountain troops will be greatly enhanced.
Compared with the turboprop and turbofan of Haidongqing A, the dual-use development of military and civilian use is parallel, and the Haidongqing B at the beginning of the second stage is much simpler, and its main purpose is to target the growing regional air transport market at home and abroad.
Therefore, the Haidongqing B aircraft adopts a lower single wing, T-shaped vertical tail layout, and the engine is a WD-48SM turbofan engine of the same model as the Yun 15plus, which adopts a tail crane layout and places the engine under the vertical tail.
The design range is 4,200 kilometers and 50 seats, and when the WD-50S large bypass ratio turbofan engine is put into production, the range will be increased to 5,500 kilometers and the number of seats will be increased to 82.
Finally, the third stage is to lay the foundation for the future large passenger aircraft Haidongqing B plus, the fuselage follows the mature fuselage design of Haidongqing B, but the overall layout will change from the lower single wing, T-shaped vertical tail layout, engine tail crane layout to Boeing, Airbus large passenger aircraft used in the lower single wing, high vertical tail, horizontal tail, engine wing under the suspension layout.
In the initial stage, the WD-48SM turbofan engine was used, with a design range of 4,500 kilometers and 46 seats, and the mid-term upgrade model was equipped with a WD-50S large bypass ratio turbofan engine, with a design range of 6,000 kilometers and 90 seats.
The final model will use the large bypass ratio turbofan engine with a thrust of 10 tons, which will have a design range of 9,000 kilometers and 120 seats, becoming an advanced trunk transportation platform at the same level as Airbus A320 and Boeing 737.
Of course, there is still a long way to go to achieve this goal, and at present, the entire Haidongqing plan of Tengfei Group has just completed the first stage, and the second stage has just begun.
So everything is still in the bud, and because of this, in order to reduce costs and development difficulties, Haidongqing A type and Haidongqing B, which has just begun to be put into operation, are common in many places, such as the size of the warehouse, the width of the three models is currently set at 3.2 meters.
In this way, the same standard, the same set of indicators and even the same production line can be used in the design and manufacture of cabin floors and stiffeners.
The same is true for the central wing box, especially the core components of the wing box, except for some differences in connection process and assembly, the manufacturing process of type A and type B is completely identical, which makes the design and production very convenient, but also greatly reduces the cost.
There is also a T-shaped vertical tail, and the three aircraft are basically the same, and one production line can handle it.
Because of this, although Tengfei Group's R&D investment looks like a lot, and the stalls are also staggering, the actual cost of amortization to each model is not high, and when mass production is further diluting the cost, in fact, the cost of each aircraft is surprisingly cost-effective.
Coupled with the excellent performance of various models of Tengfei Group, it can be said that it is a rare cost-effective product in recent years.
