"Alright, Tom, that's it, let's get it official.

Hehe, Bill Gates, must have thought we were posturing. ”

Playing with this PDA in his hand, although it is far inferior to any smartphone in later generations, it is even more incomparable with Apple's iOS. However, in this era, the current system is undoubtedly something that blinds many people's eyes.

Android version 1.01, this is not a purely handheld product operating system. On the contrary, PCs, industrial control terminals, game consoles, mobile phones, and even household appliances. In short, you can install this system on devices that meet the minimum computing requirements.

Compared with the shock of industry insiders, ordinary people who eat melons did not feel anything. At most, I'm just a little curious, what about the developer conference, and the new product launch?

, just a webcast can do it?

Well, since it is open source and free, the company named Android, does not have any fancy introduction.

They can be careless, but their peers in the IT industry cannot. It's so refreshing.

You know, whether it is palm or Microsoft's CE, the cost of installing a device is roughly 15-20 US dollars.

What, it's very cheap, compared with the expensive Windows 98, it's simply a conscientious enterprise.

However, you must know that some of the relatively low-end PDAs are only a few dozen dollars. As for console game consoles, although the pricing of each varies, however, mainstream console game consoles usually do not exceed 400 US dollars.

"Damn, how long will it take for our new system?" Bill was throwing a tantrum, and he couldn't do it without losing his temper. Obviously, the previous publicity about the PC side was just a trick by William White.

He doesn't believe in overtaking in corners, or in anything that needs to be modified. Obviously, everyone was shaken off by William White. People are now calling this trick to attack the east and west.

You know, before that, Bill was still a little unimpressed. The winCE2.0 version he launched is still quite popular in the market. Except for that bloated stinky problem, you can basically hang the palm.

Windows has a great advantage, and the operating system of this guy is too much like win98. In terms of usage habits and familiarity, the advantages are almost comprehensive.

Of course, this advantage doesn't seem to be easy to use when put here on Android. Even if he is a little unconvinced, Bill Gates can only admit that after so many years of PDA, William White knows better than him what the needs of users are.

What, isn't that enough?

So, how about free!

For those handheld devices under $150, Android is the only option.

Otherwise, if I give you 20 US dollars for nothing, how can I have the money to pile up hardware?

Needless to say, those manufacturers that sell MP3s can't sit still in the first place. Mother, since there are free gadgets, why should I bother with that?

In addition to these small fish and shrimp, of course, there are giants. First of all, HP and Compaq, who were originally eye-to-eye with the window, were the first to retreat.

Anyway, not to mention continuing to cooperate, it is still necessary to observe it properly. For a handheld terminal, the price difference of 20 US dollars is not accepted at all. The most important point is that Android is open source, as long as you join the Android Alliance, you can also engage in a personalized operating system.

"Don't hesitate, Christopher, I won't fool you. Look at this in my hand, if you don't hurry, my friend, you won't be able to catch up. ”

Looking at the phone in his hand, Christopher was confused. He came to Los Angeles on the third day after the press conference, and although Motorola has its own software, after testing by the company's internal personnel, everyone is not at the same level at all.

Then don't say anything, hurry up and talk to William White and see what conditions are needed.

Coax the ghost to go, if there is no binding requirement, William White is simply eating a stupid rhythm.

Sure enough, the request was as obnoxious as ever, but one thing was true. They don't really charge.

But what did he see now?

Although this is an engineering machine, there is no doubt that the world of legends has already begun the design of a smartphone.

Or that's not right, since the engineering machines have appeared, then, after some testing and debugging, do you think there will be a long time to leave the market.

In a short period of six months, at most a year, this smartphone, which looks a little rough, will step onto the stage of history.

"Damn, you're moving so fast. But William, it's a bit like the IBM one. ”

"Cut, you say a Newton like an apple is fine. It's just a PDA that can make phone calls, and it adds some entertainment facilities.

Christopher, I sell entertainment, like IBM's stuff that can send faxes, I think it's rubbish. In addition to being able to send an SOS, I can't imagine what kind of situation I need to send a fax when I use my mobile phone. ”

Christopher Galvin's face was a little red, and with his typical white face, it couldn't help but be a little funny. You know, before he came, their Motorola designers came up with such a plan.

Ahem, the funniest thing about Nima is that this guy hopes to add a small software to the Android system, which is specially used to send faxes.

Well, at least, there was no objection at the time, and that anxious guy had actually started to write the program. Open source software is good at this point, and it's really casual to install whatever you want.

Now listening to William White say this, well, even if you are kidnapped by bandits, you don't need to send a fax. If you can send text messages, why are you wasting that effort?

"William, this phone?"

"It's next year, it's not going to be this year. Even if I could find a way to produce it, wouldn't I need to think about inventory?

However, this thing is more business-oriented, and for the time being, it is mainly sold to successful people like you. ”

The more mobile phones are sold, the greater the competition, as the manufacturers of Baodao and Rabbit Country become more and more mature, the two of you are very clear that the years when a mobile phone earned dozens of hundreds of dollars are gone.

The phones of the world of legends are not its strong point, and there is not much demand for sales. Motorola is different, and since it has cut out other non-essential businesses, there is no room for failure in the field of communications.

Now many people have discovered that if they want to exert power on handheld devices, the White system is simply a topic that cannot be bypassed. You don't need this guy's free meal, don't you use his low-power CPU?

Well, none of that. How about LCD, don't you use it too. Well, lithium batteries are not used.

A group of bigwigs were stunned to find that it seems, as if, probably, William White's main purpose is not the PC platform. All along, he has always attached the most importance to embedded platforms.

"Christopher, if it's too late, we can OEM here.

Well, it's not because you're handsome. Market share, this is what I care about the most, I want Android to spread all over the world, because only in this way can I chop off Bill's claws. ”

"Hahaha, hahaha, if it weren't for that Xbox, I don't think you would have tore your face. ”

"Alas, insatiable and unavoidable, in this respect, I am similar to that guy's character. So, it's just a commercial competitor, and if that bastard can sit down and talk, the operating system on the PC side, I wouldn't be too concerned. ”

"Well, and the operating system on the PC side?" Christopher Galvin looked surprised. William White's people, Silicon Valley has long been rumored, most people think that the PC operating system is just a front, which is used to fool people.
