4 Town Council
In 1972, Gulamorgan was divided into three parts: West Glamorgan, with Swansea, South Glamorgan, Cardiff, and Middle Glamorgan, which consists of Brijander, Glamorgan Gorge, etc. In English, as long as the surname is Morgan, the ancestors have more or less something to do with it. Nowadays, not many people living in the three counties of Gramorgen take this surname as their father's surname, but they all use English surnames – which means that there are not many people who speak Welsh here.
So, in South Wales, on the contrary, Welsh speakers are not the majority. If you greet you on the streets of South Wales in Welsh, you are either a Welsh nationalist or an intellectually disabled person who follows the trend.
Grigwehe, like Mastach, was once a relatively high concentration of Welsh speakers in the county of Glamorgan. After Grigwech was bought by Lin Yilong, Lin Yilong was the only permanent resident, so naturally no one spoke Welsh. The Welsh language is spoken by only 1,000 people in Mastach, and only the Welsh name still engraved on the gate of the forest farm in Mastach is a faint reminder that this is still Welsh land.
The townspeople of Masach were unaware of the change in ownership of the West Glamorgan County Timberland, and initially feared that the people who bought Grigwech would cut down the trees and turn them into bare grass for cattle and sheep like the one north of Gwent. After this possibility was rejected by Lin Yilong and the joint communiqué of the Parliament, the townspeople thought that it would be better for them to think that a Far Eastern owner could not possibly treat this place as a slow-yielding forest farm or pasture, and they began to envision that the owner would use the Bracken Tree Farm as a tourist attraction, promote the local tourism industry, and provide dozens of waiters or cooks or simply idle management positions.
The greater the hope, the greater the disappointment. As a dozen Eastern European forest farm workers and their families began to settle in the town of Mastach, they realized that their plans had fallen on – the new owners really wanted to run the site as a forest farm – and that the town of Masstach, with its many agricultural and mining workers and few forestry workers, had not only failed to secure jobs, but had to accommodate the aliens.
The most intolerable thing for the townspeople of Masach was that the workers of the Bracken Forest Farm provided three meals, and that the forest farm workers who were in charge of the meals had no financial reason to contribute to the daily turnover of the town's restaurants and bars, and that the suppliers and maintainers of the farm of household goods and farm machinery were assigned to the Ness and Swansea of West Glamorgan according to their geographical location, rather than local traders. The forest farm and the forest farm workers living in the town only pay the residence tax to the West Glamorgan County Council because of the SA zip code and registration place – in other words, this means that all the economic benefits and the bulk of the tax revenue generated by the forest farm are taken away by the West Glamorgan County Council, while the West Glamorgan County taxpayers on the forest farm are instead entitled to the public services of Middle Glamorgan.
A combination of cultural and economic reasons made it unrealistic to evict these people from the town, so the townspeople began to voluntarily isolate the workers from the forest farms, not allowing them to use the community library and swimming pool.
In this situation, Lin Yilong, as a lawyer, thought of many countermeasures: reactivating the junction in the village of Ledaifan Bridge in West Gramorgan, or cutting off the water of the Masach River. Either way, however, is not realistic. It is not acceptable for the forest farm to change its jurisdiction, and it can only continue in this state.
Having to negotiate with the town's contact staff, but not finding out where he could contribute to the town of Mastach, Lin Yilong thought of negotiating some charity matters, donating 3,500 pounds to the local public affairs department such as the school church and providing a 30,000 pound pension insurance for each member of the fire and ambulance emergency response team.
The amount of £3,500 was determined by practical considerations, and the annual residence tax on the forest farm he paid to West Glamorgan County was only £3,600, and the water fee was completely free of charge because of the agreement with the water authorities of the two places for the maintenance of the Mastach River. It was therefore impossible for him to pay the same amount to the Middle Glamorgan County Council, and the nominal residence of his workers was on the Tree Farm, and the dwelling of all the Forest Farm Workers was still part of the Forest Farm even though it was in the town of Mastach, and the residence tax to be paid was included in the residence tax of the Forest Farm and would not require them to pay more, and the only part of his expenses that could be paid to the Middle Glamorgan County was the cost of the transport and fuel for the train tickets to Brijend and Cardiff from Mastach to Brijan and Cardiff, and the only part of the public revenue that could be paid to Middle Glamorgan was as " Blyken Tree Farm Ltd. "does not pay more than £1,200 for 25 square metres of the shop on the corner of the street, which is just as much as the premium for the bereavement insurance."
So, Lin Yilong took the three checks he signed and went to the town council where he made an appointment to negotiate.
The majority of seats in the town council is controlled by independent voters, and it is clear that this is not an arbitrary mainstream, so there is no "supply job" issue.
Several financial committee members who received Lin Yilong were very polite to Lin Yilong.
Lin Yilong explained to them the practical problems encountered by the forest farm, and then asked the town committee members for solutions.
"Mr. Lin, we will try to avoid the problem of forest farm workers using public facilities, but we do not understand why the building at the entrance of the forest farm is incorporated into the forest farm. One member asked.
Several buildings at the entrance of the forest farm were bought by Lin Yilong when he expanded the gate of the forest farm last year, and after extensive renovations, they became dormitories and a row of garages for the forest farm workers.
"This is a necessary consideration for the maintenance of the forest farm. "When I got the plan, I originally wanted to recruit workers locally and provide transportation subsidies without accommodation. However, I was unable to recruit local workers either in South Wales or in Bracken, and when I found workers abroad, I felt the need to provide accommodation for these workers, details of which can be found at the Home Office. ”
"But does that .....mean that the tree farm gate was poured in May last year, and that you bought the church street house and merged it into Bracken Tree Farm in June of that year?"
"The time it takes for the land to be registered and incorporated takes so long, and I am sure that several distinguished gentlemen and ladies here will understand me. ”
"It's common sense that if you tree farm employees don't pay taxes to the county council, you won't be able to use public facilities. ”
"Bracken's forest farm operating residence, the company's office, is on the corner of Church Street in the town of Mastach, and the county council in '07 is valued at £2,500 and pays £1,182 a year in commercial property tax to the county council. Finding out that the commissioner had fallen into his trap, Lin Yilong was ready to attack at this time, "Our employees use these facilities as part of the provision of "commercial residents", not residents. ”
This was embarrassing, and the town treasurer (chief financial commissioner) announced the adjournment, and after the adjournment was over, he would give Lin Yilong a perfect explanation at the right time in the name of the town committee. However, it did not address the issue raised by Lin Yilong - after the meeting, the treasurer motioned for Lin to come to the treasurer's office for a "private" official conversation.
This is just the beginning of the show.
