Chapter 44: The Talisman
The first time I got to know Fu Gong was in the 86 version of Journey to the West, when the Buddha pressed Sun Wukong under the Five Elements Mountain.
You know, how can a mere five-finger mountain be able to descend the invulnerable and powerful Monkey King?
The Buddha saw that Sun Wukong shook the Five Elements Mountain out of cracks in his gestures, and his heart was not good.
Therefore, in order to fully suppress Sun Wukong's mana, he waved his hand and lowered a six-character Buddhist mantra written with "唵 (ōng), Ma (ma), ne (nī), horn (bēi), Mi (mēi), 吽 (hōng)" to subdue the Monkey King.
In Buddhist terms, it is to collect all the power of "Buddha's mind, Buddha's mind, Lotus Heart, and Vajra Heart" in the "Six-Character Great Mantra" in order to achieve enlightenment, purify sentient beings, and finally achieve positive results, achieve everything, and restrain everything.
Therefore, Sun Wukong was defeated by the full power of the Buddha's "Six-Character Great Ming Mantra" talisman.
It wasn't until 500 years later that the Buddha took advantage of the position of the leading boss in the Buddha world to arrange for his second disciple Jin Chanzi to be reincarnated.
At the same time, he was told by the mouth of Guanyin that he needed the support of the rootless Monkey King, and finally took down the "six-character mantra" by the hand of the golden cicada, saved the Monkey King, and took the disciples to learn the scriptures, everything was logical.
Later, from the zombie movies of the ninth uncle Lin Zhengying, such as the "Mr. Zombie" series of movies, I saw Fu Zheng for the second time.
There are many effects of talismans in the movie, and in the process of subduing zombies, Uncle Nine gives full play to the effects of talismans, and the most important thing is that he can subdue zombies, which can suppress and destroy zombies.
Of course, the plot and plot of the movie are naturally not as wonderful as those described in the four famous novels, but they are still very fascinating, and they can be called the ancestors of Chinese zombie movies.
The third time I saw the talisman was at this master of the book.
Looking back, it was a very interesting experience.
In the book, there is a darkroom in the master's home, which is locked all year round.
When the door was opened, only the dim light inside could be seen, and a tunnel only one person wide led into the depths.
At first glance, people can first think of scenes like Hong Kong version of ghost movies such as "There Are Ghosts in the Office", "Old Corpses in Mountain Villages", "Night of the Soul" and so on.
In addition to seeing on TV that the villain's home has a secret room, a secret passage and other compartments, this is the first time I have seen such a darkroom in the real world.
At that time, curiosity drove me to keep approaching the room, as if something was attracting, and my legs involuntarily "took the initiative" towards the room with the door open, and a feeling of curiosity about to succeed spontaneously arose, and my heart couldn't help but feel a little excited, and my heart was pounding, close!
It's almost time to get it!
was about to take a look, but was properly blocked by the master in the book with a hand.
"Little Housheng, you can't go in!"
With that, motioned for me to stand back.
I was still a little unconvinced, looking into his eyes and confronting him.
My mother hurriedly pulled me to her side, fearing that I would do anything beyond the boundary.
Then he went in himself, locked the door from the inside, and left the rest of us waiting outside
"Cut, God is mysterious, don't let me in. I'm not uncommon!"
I forcibly suppressed my curiosity, pretended to be angry and stepped aside, muttering a complaint that the adults would hear.
The adolescent hairy young man is already more sensitive to the language and behavior of his elders, and he feels that it is still very embarrassing to be rejected for the first time, so he has to find a step for himself.
Of course, until the end, I didn't see what was hidden in the "little secret room", and my parents had gone in it, but whenever I asked, they were also confused, as if there was something that could not be said.
It remains an unsolved mystery to this day.
Although he retreated to the back, of course, the afterglow in his eyes would glance at the mysterious door from time to time, and his mind wandered, wondering what could be inside?
Is it a ghost, a god, or a fox fairy?
Will there be ghosts like bull heads and horse noodles?
Are there any of them who are dancing with their teeth and claws?
Will it fall like Hong Kong films?
Will the master in the book eat us all when he comes out?
......
In the end, the more I thought about it, the more terrifying it became, and I couldn't help but have a cold war.
"Why haven't you come out yet, Mom?" I asked quietly.
"Shhhh
The father began his signature gesture again—cross-legged on his cheeks, staring at the closed door, and continuing to enjoy the beauty and happiness that cigarettes brought him.
The waiting time is always very long, boring, and I always feel that the speed of time is a little slower than the speed of a snail crawling.
There were no cell phones, no watches, wall clocks and anything like that to see the time, maybe 10 minutes later, maybe half an hour later.
All eyes were on the closed door, not knowing what they were thinking.
The parents and the lover of the master in the book "have a match" and talk about it, and the common topic is how good the master in the book is, how to help the people, and how to benefit the people......
That scene was really hilarious.
One dares to blow, and the other dares to pick up.
One blows the spring light, and the other shines the starlight.
One blows the eyebrows, and the other is full of ambition.
One blows the flowers blooming, and the other takes it for granted.
"When did the master in the book first discover that he had this ability?" asked the father suddenly.
"It's something that goes with the flow, and I don't know when I suddenly had the ability to do this. Again, thank God for taking care of it. There was a hint of pride in the words of the master's wife in the book.
"The master in the book is really lucky, he must have accumulated merit in this life and received a call from heaven. ”
"Well, that's it, that is, the two of us are really kinder than Tang Seng in our lives. Saying that, on a whim, he took the initiative to chant a poem:
Sweeping the floor does not hurt the lives of ants, and cherishes moths and lanterns;
There are fish hooks in the pond that are not fished, and birds are bought in the cage and released;
Come to the back of the mountain to watch the tiger fight, and listen to the birdsong in the forest;
Carefree and trouble-free, the world is hot and cold.
"Usually the two of us don't even dare to say a word out loud!"
"Hey, I didn't expect my sister-in-law to be so literate, it seems that the aura of the master in the book is too bright, and the light of my sister-in-law is also covered. ”
"My sister-in-law is really good!"
"Haha......"
"Hey, hey!" The hypocritical dialogue of the adult world was of course extremely boring to me, and I couldn't help but laugh when I heard this.
Heart, this is the original work of "Journey to the West", I have read too much!
However, if you think about it, you must not be able to say it, otherwise you will be beaten!
My mother ignored me recently and quietly pushed me. My father "glared" at me even more!
"Okay, you can't laugh anymore, can you?" I felt depressed for myself, and then looked away casually, for fear that there would be a situation where I crossed their gaze and caused some unnecessary trouble.
Finally, in the momentary frozen air, a "squeak" of the door opened to break the embarrassment of reaching a critical point.
I saw the master in the book raise his hands flat, and respectfully "please" a thin talisman out.
The talisman was about a foot long and about the size of a fist wide, and it was a little more yellow than the color of earthy yellow, but it was not normal yellow, and it had some old feeling.
Then, the master's lover easily placed the long table on the wall in the middle of the room, and placed the cinnabar and wolf pen on top of the copy, and of course, many things such as tokens, seals, flags, bells, and so on.
At that time, I didn't know what was going on, and it wasn't until later that I realized that the long table was not a copywriter at all, but an altar prepared by the master in the book for drawing talismans.
Speaking of the Dharma altar, I believe that there are very few friends who don't know.
It is a Buddhist and Taoist practice and worship of the immortal Buddha prepared in advance, used to do various rituals, drive away disasters and solve problems, and pray for blessings for the surname.
Buddhism and Taoism are not the same.
The altar set up by the master in the book is similar to Taoism.
The establishment of the altar needs to be placed in the center of the worship of the immortal Buddha or the text, and the statue of the Sanqing god enshrined by Taoists under general circumstances is called "Void Nature Daluo Sanqing Sanjing Sanbao Tianzun".
It is mainly about the "Yuqing, Shangqing, and Taiqing" victories respected by Taoism. It generally refers to the three gods who live in the "Three Qing Victory Realms", namely the Yuan Shi Tianzun, the Lingbao Tianzun, and the Daode Tianzun.
At the same time, incense burner offerings and flowers are placed on the altar.
The instruments placed on the altar are also different according to the content of the caster's altar.
It is roughly divided into tokens, flags, bells, etc.
Of course, Taoist priests with advanced Taoism will also have Jane, notes, whips, rosters, magic swords, town altar wood, nectar bowls, five emperor coins, gossip mirrors, and so on.
I believe that many friends have seen similar scenes in TV series or self-media, and of course they are not unfamiliar with it when mentioned here.
Common tokens include the Emperor's Order, the Five Thunder Order, the Little Heavenly Xuannu Order, the God of Wealth Order, and so on. The content engraved on the token, of course, is also different.
Most of them are "the dragon in the east, the vermilion bird in the south, the white tiger in the west, and the Xuanwu in the north". They are:
Oriental Canglong Seven Houses "Horn, Kang, Di, Fang, Heart, Tail, Kei";
Southern Suzaku Seven Houses "Well, Ghost, Willow, Star, Zhang, Wing, Zhen";
Western White Tiger Seven Residences "Kui, Lou, Stomach, Pleiades, Bi, Ginseng, and Mi";
Northern Xuanwu Seven Residences "Fighting, Bull, Female, Void, Danger, Room, Wall".
This is the well-known Twenty-Eight Nakshatras of the Heavenly Palace.
Common seals are usually made of jade, stone, wood, gold, silver, and other materials. There are Bagua Seals, Taoist Master Treasure Seals, Shangqing Dadong Seals, Five Thunder Ghost Seals, Zhang Tianshi Seals and so on.
The common Lingqi is generally divided into blue, red, yellow, white, black, and five colors, representing the five elements, and the functions are naturally different.
The bell is a kind of Taoist musical instrument, the common ones are Sanqing bell, law bell, etc., cinnabar, wolf pen naturally needless to say.
Cinnabar is insoluble in water and can only be mixed with liquor, and in this regard, the master's approach in the book is naturally very correct.
I saw that after a series of rituals such as burning incense, worshiping Sanqing, and rattling bells to pray to the heavens, the master in the book began to dip in cinnabar and wave the wolf's hair.
"I'm going to start drawing now, and you guys don't make a noise in the back. ”
Everyone nodded.
