Chapter 789: Promise on

"It's tonight. Pen %Fun %Pavilion www.biquge.info"
Tess said suddenly.
Naria, who was putting away the dishes, turned around and looked at her with some confusion.
"The Night of the Summer Flame. Tess said.
She sat cross-legged on the bed, facing the half-open window. The twilight sky was tinged with a strange lilac, so clean that there was not a trace of clouds. In a few moments, the stars will light up the sky like fireworks on a summer night.
"If he dares to leave me and sneak up on a date with an elf, I will stab them to death, even if the other party is the elven king who shines as bright as a star. The red-haired girl held up her small and cute face and said viciously.
"I swear, he wouldn't dare. Naria sighed. She couldn't remember how many times Tess had claimed to kill Norvi for the first possible reason, but she didn't do anything, she didn't knock her unconscious, she jumped out of the window, she didn't rush out of the door with a knife in her hand, she just sat there and threw a more ferocious and empty "if" than the other.
Naria felt, deep down, that she actually knew what was going on and she just didn't dare to face it.
Turn away from it, not reject it head-on. With Tess's character, this is an extremely rare cowardice. Naria knew that she should try to make Tess remember as much as possible, but she just couldn't bear it, even if Tess was deceiving herself, she was willing to echo softly.
There was a gentle knock on the door, and only after permission had been given was it a cautious half-head poking out of the crack in the door.
"Uh," Ed laughed heartily and apprehensively, "do you need anything else?"
Naria unceremoniously shoved all the cutlery into his arms.
"It's not too unpalatable. She said, "Another can of light beer." β
To be honest, she was surprised that Ed was able to make a decent dinner, and although the taste was really hard to compliment, she still felt a little uncomfortable.
"When the hell are you going to give Mo back?" Tess asked him with a wrinkled face.
"Soon, soon!" Ed blinked in a panic and quickly retracted.
Tess stared at where he had disappeared, her eyebrows raised higher and higher.
"He's hiding something from me. She said with great certainty.
"Oh, he's hiding a lot from us. Naria pouted dissatisfiedly
"Nope. Tess jumped out of bed and rushed barefoot out the door. Naria was startled, and without thinking, she stopped her waist and hugged her, but Tess didn't struggle much, just kicked the door open, and yelled at the door:
"Edsinegger!
There was a loud bang. Ed slipped his foot and fell down the stairs.
A moment later, he poked his head out of the staircase, with a sad face, and sighed, "You won't believe it."
"Tell me?" Tess clasped her arms menacingly, "If you dare to lie to me for sweetheart's sake, I'll make you die a better death." β
The moment he pushed the door in, Iss sensed the strange atmosphere in the room. He stopped cautiously, and soon realized that it was not him who was turning to his gaze, but the little animal sitting upright on his shoulder.
He looked at Ed Ed, dodging away from his gaze, his chin touching his chin weakly.
Iss shook his head helplessly. The man he should have expected would not lie at all. Especially in the face of his friends, as long as he exerts a little pressure, Ed has no power to resist at all.
What kind of secret does Scott expect this guy to keep? He grabbed the mongoose, instinctively trying to escape, and threw it on the table by the neck.
"Explain it yourself. He said.
Tess immediately pounced with a twinkle in her eyes, and locked the little mongoose firmly into her arms.
"Explain!" she cried.
"Whew!" the little mongoose stiffened and began to struggle.
"You're going to strangle it. Eth calmly reminded as he strode past them, looking for a drink on his own.
It's simply inexplicable. He thought angrily.
It's a very dangerous time, but because of this hell, farcical accident, people can't keep their tension, is this a good thing or a bad thing?
The world will either never perish, or it will actually be doomed.
He poured a large glass of bland and tasteless beer to himself, and watched blankly as "Xiao Mo" finally got a bottle of ink and a large stack of paper, and jumped around resignedly to write and scratch. Tess, pounding the table and laughing to death, accepted the affair with ease, seemingly unconcerned that the tall, gentle elf she liked had turned into a fluffy mongoose and could be a mongoose forever, and even if she was lucky enough to retain her consciousness, she wouldn't survive ten years before dying.
She was such a smart girl, she couldn't have thought of this. But at the moment, her hearty laughter was less like an escape and more like a declaration of war. It was as if this unexpected surprise had quickly ignited her fighting spirit, allowing her to pull herself together and continue to fight unrelentingly against all the enemies that stood in the way of her happiness.
Surprisingly, the exuberant and exuberant vitality made his worries seem unnecessary.
Ed looked up and shrugged at him, as if he could see through his anger and anxiety at a glance.
"There's always a way. β
He silently told him with an exaggerated mouth that his eyes, red from exhaustion, were still as bright and frank as the day they first met. But some things are different after all, when he said this mantra in the past, most of them were just naΓ―ve expectations, but now it is some kind of firm promise.
All right.
Isis sighed helplessly to himself, and this was the only way to go. If these guys made up their minds to accomplish something that even the dragon couldn't do, he would have to do everything he could to do it. After all, a dragon always has to take good care of his treasures, and the only treasures he cares about in this world are only a handful of people.
The half-hidden door was pushed open again, and Scott and Filly walked in one after the other, both angry and gloomy. However, the atmosphere in the room was so eerie that they unconsciously exchanged a puzzled look.
"It's so hilarious. Nia's voice floated down above Is's head. At some point, the thief who slipped in grinned and leaned on the railing on the second floor and looked down.
"Is there anything I can do to get involved?" he asked, expectantly.
"You should say us. β
Another laughing voice came from behind him.
To be continued.
