Chapter 4: The Revelation of Dreams
Guarding Ke Tong who fainted, neither Xue Kaimo nor Li Ju proposed to go downstairs, the two of them seemed to have forgotten the mysterious aunt at the same time, or they were hiding something from each other.
"Sleep. Li Ju finally said. His tone was as natural as usual, but Xue Kaimo heard a kind of confidence in it, as if Li Ju was very sure of everything at this time, and he no longer needed to worry about anything.
Xue Kaimo began to resent Li Ju's self-confidence. After the lights went out, the campus was still boiling and noisy, and the shouting voices did not gradually subside until three o'clock in the morning, and Xue Kaimo did not fall asleep groggily until this time.
He didn't expect that this sleep would bring him a clear and warm dream that he had never had before, and he would remember everything in the dream, and he would still be at a loss when he woke up.
Xue Kaimo walked on campus in the early hours of the morning, surrounded by the silence of the wind and night. Some of the shadows of the trees were hit on the ground by the moonlight, rustling and swaying with the wind, Xue Kaimo seemed to be walking on a windy wilderness, lonely and lacking fear.
He walked on a path that was all too familiar, and although he could not find a single light on the campus at this time, he could still easily discern the direction, and he heard his own footsteps, as if he had been waiting for many years.
Finally, Xue Kaimo walked to the door of a canteen, he reached out to push the second door on the right, and a glass door opened silently, as if he had been waiting for his arrival.
The hall of a cafeteria was filled with the obscure light of the early morning, and all the tables and chairs were quietly in place, and white curtains hung low from each window to hide the food that was gradually rotting inside.
Xue Kaimo walked through the empty hall and walked into a narrow passage, the passage was not long, only a dozen steps away, Xue Kaimo saw his familiar kitchen at the end of the passage, and smelled the smell of oil smoke that had not changed here.
"Where am I? Why am I here? Why is everything here so familiar?" With these three boring questions, Xue Kai walked to the stove indifferently.
It was only then that he felt a mysterious force driving him, and the hands that were pushing him forward were growing on his own body, and the eyes that were watching his movements were also growing on his own face, and the power that was driving him more and more urgently was also lurking in his own body.
"Did I bring myself here, or was another Xue Kaimo who brought me?" Xue Kaimo stood in front of the stove and found that there were two iron pots in front of him that were gradually heating up, and the bottom of the iron pot flashed blue and yellow flames, as if it had been burning for a long time.
Xue Kaimo lifted the lid of the first pot, and immediately, a thick smoke hit his eyes.
Xue Kaimo closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, he saw a whole pot of dark black oil boiling in a pot in front of him.
"It's been a long time since I've smelled anything like this. Xue Kaimo closed his eyes again and began to enjoy the rising temperature and the smell of oil smoke in front of him.
Suddenly, he remembered that he had been standing in the same place, pouring soybean oil into the same pot, perhaps at the same time of day, and he was the only one in the same huge kitchen.
Xue Kaimo looked into the pot and found that a looming woman's face appeared from the churning oil flowers,
"I must have seen her somewhere, she was so familiar with me, it made me feel a warm feeling that I had never felt before. Xue Kaimo's head was about to explode, and at this moment, that face disappeared suddenly.
