Chapter 37: Elves
As Don and Chris continued to advance, the scene in front of Don gradually appeared in front of Don's eyes.
There were still some of the same scenery he had seen when he opened his eyes, and nothing else had changed, and when he looked up, he was stunned by the sight above him.
He saw a huge canopy appear above him, as if the canopy was so large that it seemed to obscure the sky.
There were still some lights flickering in the canopy, some huge birds flying around in the canopy, and even knights riding unknown creatures hovering low in the sky, seemingly patrolling.
The small animals around saw the two of them running in a hurry and didn't dodge, but looked at the two with a puzzled expression, not knowing what happened to these two people to be in such a hurry.
Don felt as if he could see the information of the creatures, including the immensely large tree.
However, the huge canopy of the tree looked full of life, but in his heart he told him that the giant tree was going to die.
"It's very sick and dying?"
Don muttered uncontrollably, but he didn't see how the huge tree in front of him looked like it was going to die.
"What are you going to die for?"
Chris in front seemed to hear Donn's words and looked back at Donn behind him.
"No... It's nothing. ”
Don didn't want to tell the girl in front of her, even though she seemed to be very close to her.
"Okay. Chris glanced at Donn suspiciously and said, "I know that the departure of a large number of people is a big blow to you, but this is not something we can stop. ”
"Clansmen... Leave?"
Don didn't quite understand what Chris meant, but he felt like he must have forgotten a lot of memories.
Although he didn't know what he had forgotten or how he had forgotten it, he felt that he had to get all his lost memories back.
As the two of them progressed, they began to meet other people who looked like Chris.
Chris kept saying hello to these people along the way, and seemed to be very familiar with everyone, and there was no one she didn't know.
Someone else greeted Donn, but he didn't know what he should say, so he could only nod his head blankly.
He felt that although the expressions on the faces of the people in front of him were rich, he always felt that their expressions were a little fake, not as vivid as the expressions on Chris's face.
Don was pulled by Chris to a place that looked like a square, and a red-haired woman with pointed ears was already waiting for them at the door.
"You're late. The red-haired woman looked at Chris and Don with a serious expression.
"I'm sorry Captain! It's mainly because Donn ran a little far, that's why..."
Chris let go of his palm gripping Donn's arm, panting, and looked at the red-haired woman in front of him with a pitiful expression.
"Not for example!" the red-haired woman snorted.
"Yes, Sister Daisy!"
When Chris saw that he had escaped punishment, he smiled again, as if it was someone else who was not her.
"Call the captain!" Daisy glanced at Chris.
"Hey, hey. Chris seemed startled by the look, shrunk his neck, and smiled a little embarrassedly.
Don looked at Daisy blankly, although it looked a little strange, but he thought that where he should have seen her, and it seemed that he had saved her?
He himself was startled by his own thoughts, he clearly felt that the powerful energy in this body called Daisy was several times more than his own, how could he possibly save her.
"Don't be stunned! Come and train!" Daisy couldn't help but remind them when she saw the two of them still standing dumbly on the side.
"Oh! here it is!" Chris replied, pulling up Don from his side again and running to the center of the square.
There were already a lot of people gathered in the middle of the square, and they all looked like they were about the same age as Donn and Chris.
However, they did not seem to be in a very good state, and the square was in a mess, and they were gathering in groups and whispering, and they looked terrified, and the center of the square was full of buzzing, which made people sound a little upset.
Some of the young people seemed to see Daisy approaching, and quickly touched their companions around them, suggesting that they should stop talking.
But there are always a few people who are always paying attention, and even if some people have stopped discussing, the buzz in the square has not diminished.
"What a noise!" Daisy shouted as she walked over to the stage and looked at the chaotic procession of people in the audience.
The loud sound made everyone in the audience instantly quiet, raised their heads to look at the red-haired woman who made a loud sound, and immediately stood up straight.
"The sky hasn't fallen yet, even if the sky falls, it won't be your turn to fight! What are you panicking about!" Daisy looked at the audience with a mocking face.
After waiting for a while, she found that no one refuted her words, and she spoke again: "Don't give me training yet! Do you think it's a great thing to reach transcendence through adulthood? It's something that your bloodline has given you, and it has nothing to do with you." ”
"Even if it's a pig! It bleeds the blood of an elf, and when it reaches adulthood, it can reach transcendence! Now in our eyes you are no different from a pig!"
Daisy's merciless words said that the elves in the audience were all red, and some elves wanted to open their mouths to refute, but when they saw the not tall figure on the stage, they suddenly lost any courage.
"Got it!" Daisy shouted again at the elves in the audience.
"Understood!" replied one of the elves, and ran neatly in the same direction.
Don looked at Daisy on the stage blankly, always feeling that this woman was a little different from his impression, and he felt that these domineering should not belong to her.
"What are you doing in a daze! go get a weapon with me!" Chris tugged at Donn.
"Oh, oh!" Don came back to his senses and looked at Chris, and followed her in the direction where the elves were running.
"Elves?"
Don kept muttering the word elf, he seemed to have heard them somewhere, but he couldn't remember where.
"So many people who are familiar with me are elves, so I should be elves. Don thought silently in his heart.
Although the voice in his heart told him that this idea was wrong, as time passed, the voice in his heart became smaller and smaller, and now it was so small that he could no longer hear.
Many elves ran into the same huge tree hole, and in the tree hole were placed all kinds of weapons, all of which had a uniform character, and were all silver and white in color.
The elves who came first had already begun to change their armor, picked up their weapons, and began to return the way they came.
The later elves also purposefully walked to one place, began to pick up their familiar weapons, and prepared to change their armor on the side.
But Don looked at so many weapons, and he was dazzled for a while, and he didn't know what to choose.
His gaze crossed over longbows, spears, spears, shields, daggers, and finally slowly landed on a bright red longsword.
The longsword was blood-red and a little out of place with the dazzling silver-white color around it, as if it didn't belong here at all.
When Don saw this long sword, he couldn't take his eyes off it, he felt that his long sword should be his.
He had only taken two steps before he noticed that his clothes seemed to be being pulled by someone, and when he looked back, it was Chris who was holding a lot of things.
"What are you doing in a daze! Hurry up and change into your leather armor! I'm going to be killed by you sooner or later!"
The blonde girl's tone was dissatisfied, but even then she patiently handed the thing in her hand to Don.
Don looked at the items he had taken, a set of emerald green leather armor like the others, and a silver-white longbow.
"Don't you have a sword?" Donn asked, turning to the blonde girl opposite.
"Longsword, what do you want that thing for? You haven't learned it!" Chris replied to Donn as he changed into leather armor.
"But I think I should be able to use it. Donn's tone was a little uncertain.
"Huh, stop making a fuss! I've been with you for almost a hundred years! I didn't know you could use a sword. Chris glanced at Don across from him in surprise.
"Really?" Don began to feel a little uncertain about himself when he heard Chris's words.
"Yes, didn't you practice bows and arrows since you were a child?"
Chris seemed to feel a little dizzy with his little hair, and a long sword, how could he use such a thing.
"But—" Don was about to say something, but found that the blood-red sword that had been on the side had disappeared, as if it had never appeared.
"Is it a hallucination?" muttered Donn.
"Hallucinate your size! Get dressed! I'll be late!" Chris impatiently stepped back from Donn.
At Chris's urging, Don gave up on dwelling on the blood-red sword and began to concentrate on changing his clothes.
The surrounding elves hurried past Donn, without much contact with him, like strangers.
Don didn't bother to greet them, he just did what he was doing, and Chris on the side was obviously impatient to wait, he didn't want the blonde girl to urge him anymore.
Just as he was about to change his clothes, an elf bumped into him, and the elf said sorry to him and hurried away.
Originally, he didn't pay attention to this disappearance, but continued to put on the leather armor that had been knocked off just now, but a question suddenly flashed in his mind.
"What did that elf look like?"
Although the elf left in a hurry, he definitely saw the elf's face clearly, otherwise how would he know if he recognized it or not.
But he couldn't remember the elf in his mind now, as if he had lost his memory.
Just when he felt that something was wrong with his head, he realized that he didn't just remember what this elf looked like.
Instead, except for Chris and Daisy, all the elven faces in his mind were blurry, and he couldn't see the facial features at all.
