Chapter 131: Is There Really a Shipwreck?
The current Natuna Islands are rich in natural gas because of their beautiful scenery, pleasant scenery, and abundant resources, and Indonesia and Citigroup cooperate in the exploitation of natural gas, so the population is quite large, but Indonesia is a notoriously unfriendly country to China, and they did not stop because of Yang Yi.
Beyond the Natuna Islands, on the west side is the world-famous golden waterway - the Strait of Malacca. The Strait of Malacca runs southeast-northwest, with the Andaman Sea in the Indian Ocean at its northwest end and the Pacific Ocean at its southeast end.
With a total length of about 1,080 kilometers, the widest part of the strait is 370 kilometers in the northwest and only 2.8 kilometers in the southeast. The Straits is currently administered by four countries: the Lion City State, Siam, Johor and Indonesia.
The Strait of Malacca and Malacca have a very deep relationship with China. The founding emperor of Malacca was the prince of Sriwijaya (present-day Sumatra), Bairi Missoula, who was exiled to Malacca because his country was destroyed by the Majapahit Empire in Java at that time.
Under a tree called Malacca, Prince Bairymissoula decided to establish a new country under the tree after witnessing a diminutive mole deer kicking a wild dog into a river for self-preservation, and Prince Bairymissoula decided to establish a new country under the tree.
According to the history of the Ming Dynasty, the envoy of the Ming Dynasty, Yin Qing, came to the local area in the first year of Yongle to preach the national prestige, and Bairi Missoula was very happy to learn that the envoy had come, so he sent an envoy back to the Ming Dynasty with Yin Qing to pay tribute. The envoy arrived in Nanjing in the third year of Yongle, and Ming Chengzu named Bairi Missula as the "King of Manraka", and gave him a seal, a colored coat, an edict, and a yellow umbrella.
In the ninth year of Yongle, Bairi Missoula led his wife and more than 500 courtiers to go to the Ming Dynasty with Zheng He to meet Ming Chengzu, who personally set up a banquet and entertained him with rich rewards. After that, Bairi Missoula's son and grandson also led their families and vassals to visit the Ming Dynasty.
The Malacca dynasty was freed from its status as a vassal state of the Kingdom of Siam, and due to its proximity to the Straits of Malacca, it soon grew from a fishing village to the most important port in the region, attracting merchants from Java, India, Arabia and the Ming Dynasty, and serving as a docking point for Sino-Indian trade between the two monsoons.
Due to its strategic location, Malacca became an important outpost for Zheng He's fleet of voyages. The fleet is huge, with the largest ships being more than 150 meters long and 60 meters wide. Hundreds of sailing ships, passing through the Strait of Malacca and entering the Indian Ocean, achieved the seafaring feat of the time.
However, this time Yang Yi chose the route not to take the Strait of Malacca, if out of Malacca into the Indian Ocean around the vicinity of Australia, there is no doubt that he will have to run a lot more, and precious time will be wasted on the road, so after crossing the Natuna Islands out of the South China Sea, he will turn around and go southeast to the west coast of Kalimantan, just like the Gaspar Strait.
In fact, it was more appropriate for the ship to take the Karimata Strait, but this time more time was wasted at sea, and Yang Yi finally decided to take the Gaspar Strait. Both straits are the passage of South China to the south of the Java Sea, separated by Belitung Island, the difference is that the Karimata Strait is relatively wide, and the waterway is deep and flat. The Gaspar Strait is located between Belitung Island and Bangka Island, and the waterway is narrower than the Karimata Strait, with many reefs at the bottom and a complex geological environment.
In ancient times, the Gaspar Strait was the main channel for trade between China and the Indonesian archipelago, especially the southern route to Java. In particular, the discovery of the shipwreck of the Blackstone has let the world know the wealth and strength of ancient China.
In the mid-90s of the last century, in the area of Sumatra, Indonesia. Legend has it that fishermen often found ancient ceramic fragments when they went out to fish, and this legend has attracted countless explorers and treasure hunters.
These legends also caught the attention of Tilman Waterfar, a cement factory owner with a penchant for exploration and treasure hunting. In 97, he found a German salvage company and began to explore and hunt for treasure in the waters of Belitung, when he discovered the Ming Dynasty Yingtan shipwreck. In 98, the shipwreck of the Mageni was discovered, and many treasures were found on the shipwreck.
Originally, the two shipwrecks should allow the cement factory owner to retire calmly and enjoy life, but the adventure gene in his body allowed him to continue to explore the shipwrecks under the sea, and finally, his next discovery shocked the world.
According to information provided by his hired crew, he found a wreck more than 20 meters long under the 17-meter-deep seabed of Batu Sitamu in the Gaspar Strait. Since the wreck was found under the reef, it was casually named: the Blackstone. However, after many studies by archaeologists, the true identity of the wreck has never been established, but as the excavation work unfolds, the Waters Law is completely stunned!
The salvage began in September 1998 and ended in June 1999, lasting nine months. During the excavation, they found that at the bottom of one of the celadon bowls, the 16th day of the seventh month of the second year of the treasure calendar was engraved.
This was the second year of Tang Jingzong's accession to the throne during the Tang Dynasty, and there is no doubt that these treasures came from China. The bottom of some porcelain also found the word "Ying" or "Jinfeng", which is the words of the official kiln of the Tang Dynasty, so it is likely that this merchant ship was carrying diplomatic envoys or carrying diplomatic missions.
In other words, during the Tang Dynasty in ancient China, with the return of the tributary envoys of the island country of Java, this merchant ship set off after loading a large amount of porcelain and other items, and sank in the waters near Belitung, and has been silent on the seabed for thousands of years.
There are about 70,000 pieces of artifacts salvaged from the "Blackstone" shipwreck, including more than 67,000 pieces of Chinese ceramics, and there are Changsha kilns, Yue kilns, Xing kilns, Gongyi kilns, Guangdong waterwheel kilns, Guanchong kilns, etc.
Among them, the porcelain of Changsha kiln accounts for more than 50,000 pieces, and what is even more shocking is that the blue and white porcelain of the Tang Dynasty was also found on the Blackstone, which completely rewrote history and made the appearance of blue and white porcelain go back 500 years.
Even the Tang Dynasty folk myths and legends can pray for wind and rain "Jiang Xin Mirror" is also shown in front of the world, according to legend, Tang Xuanzang was to use the Jiang Xin Mirror to pray for rain for the people, this is also the first time so far that someone found the legendary "Jiang Xin Mirror".
Almost every artifact aboard the Blackstone is extremely precious, and there are even more opinions about the ship's origins. Sadly, Waters sold all the treasures he found for $32 million, which are now housed at the Sands Art Museum in Singapore.
Yang Yi walked from here, firstly, to save the distance, and secondly, to see the world-famous Silk Road relics, maybe he could run into a sunken ship.
However, he knew that the chances were very small, since the discovery of the Blackstone, almost every corner of the strait had been turned upside down by those explorers, and even if there was a shipwreck, he would not be left to discover, but there was always a thought.
It was already late at night after passing through the Gaspar Strait, Sun Liancheng carefully observed the route map in the cockpit, this sea area is full of reefs, and it is a big trouble to hit the reef if you don't pay attention to it, Yang Yi is lying in the cabin at this time, it seems to be sleeping, but in fact, he is "scanning" the bottom of the sea with dragon balls.
His current detection range has already exceeded ten kilometers, which means that within the ten kilometer radius of the ship's center, no wind or grass can escape his perception. It's just that as he thought, the Strait of Gaspar has been turned over countless times, and where else can there be anything good.
There are some broken porcelain tiles that can be seen in the mud and sand reefs at the bottom of the sea, but most of them have no value, and Yang Yi is not interested in getting them, the value of broken porcelain is not as good as that of complete porcelain, and this is a broken porcelain piece that has been soaked in the seabed for an unknown number of years, and it is in vain to get it.
I've been using the Dragon Balls, and I haven't found anything too valuable, the Gaspar Strait is not too long, it's only a few tens of kilometers, the water depth is about 40 meters, and it takes more than an hour to pass through, so until he was about to enter the Java Sea, Yang Yi still didn't find anything.
He had actually given up in his heart, and he was originally holding the mentality of trying it out, and he really felt a little tired after sweeping such a long distance with the dragon balls, and was about to give up and go to sleep, when suddenly he released the dragon balls' visitation function again, and it was the location in the south of Bangka Island, and he found a shipwreck buried in the mud and sand on the bottom of the sea.
"I'll go, won't there really be a shipwreck? What's that in there? Won't you be so lucky?"
Yang Yi sat up from the bed abruptly, said to himself, and then saw that his eyes lit up, and he disappeared directly into the air from the cabin.
