Chapter 5 Foreshadowing of Conflict
Even the dullest of the human beings have a minimum awareness of their environment - from the very beginning, the young wizards of Ilvermorny have revealed that they are not welcome. Pen | fun | pavilion www. ο½ο½ο½ο½ο½ο½ γ ο½ο½ο½ο½
Therefore, when it comes to returning to the temporary dormitory en masse, the young wizards are silent - the saying that the environment affects the mood is not a hypothesis, and in this hostile environment, even the most big-hearted people cannot maintain a happy state.
Shortly after stepping into the miniature castle, a Gryffindor was the first to break the stiff atmosphere:
"Professor McGonagall, maybe I'm asking a little more - but what's going on?"
After a moment of silence, Professor McGonagall spoke:
"The situation is a little more than we expected - the situation in the American wizarding world is much more exaggerated than we thought. β
"Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the backbone of the entire American wizarding community - they took the initiative to contact the Ministry of Magic for this exchange.
I don't want you kids to know about the disgusting dealβbut I can assure you that you'll have full access to itβI mean, Ilvermorny's collection of magical books, which every young wizard at Hogwarts is entitled to readβdoesn't require any approval.
With the exception of a few forbidden places, you are free to enter and leave every Ilvermorny place, and you are free to observe every class, and you are free to observe every class, and you are not subject to the interference of the class schedule, except for the need to observe classroom discipline.
But before I do that, I tell you that you must be vigilant enough to get the most out of it.
Well, it's not too early, and everyone is tired from the journey - let's rest early. β
The scattered young wizards regrouped in the academy - this time the news was too strong for any wizard to ignore.
A library that is completely open!
Yes, Hogwarts' collection of books for nearly a thousand years is certainly better than that of Ilvermorny here, but the fact that the forbidden area directly blocks most of the students - not to mention that some books cannot be read even with the professor's approval - those books can only be provided to the professor.
The unlimited schedule means that they are free to choose which courses they want to audit β even if the professors have reservations, they can only choose how much or less to impart in the presence of their own students.
They can listen across β they can hear from the first grade class if they want!
Alan instantly understood why Ilvermorny's young wizards' faces were not very good--from the perspective of Hogwarts exchange students, they would indeed be very happy, such treatment was not even considered at Hogwarts, but from Ilvermorny's point of view, the matter was completely sour.
Alan didn't believe that Dumbledore would give Ilvermorny an exchange student such a treatment - that would be a naked school in front of others!
Isn't it clear and concise why they get these benefits?
Ilvermorny is in danger now - they're at odds with their own Ministry of Magic.
So, their choice was to ask the British Ministry of Magic for help - which was normal, there was no war of independence between the Ministries of Magic, and in a sense, the American Ministry of Magic was a branch of the United Kingdom - even if they were disobedient.
Compared to the independence of the school, the secrecy of some shared lineage can be waived - and the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts naturally don't choose to help without compensation - what a joke, everyone is so busy!
I'm afraid a few legacies won't satisfy the Ministry's appetite - but nothing else Alan knows.
The Slytherins had put the most people on the list at the first place - they obviously knew what they could gain from this exchange, and, judging by the conflict between Snape and the adult Slytherin, the hidden unknown was more beneficial - otherwise the Slytherins would not have been fooled like this.
The headmaster, who was a little tired of speaking, was obviously a very practical man in a sense - he did not hesitate to bring in foreign aid for the sake of the school's independence, even if it was to throw away the knowledge that he had inherited for many years.
Obviously, he knew very well that the hogwarts little wizards' plundering of knowledge was only temporary, and eventually they would have to go around and return to England, except for the bad face, Ilvermorny was unscathed, but able to survive the immediate crisis.
If the Ministry of Magic succeeds, Ilvermorny will become a subordinate body of the Ministry, a product of the Council's control, and will completely lose its own philosophy - in a sense, it will be the demise of the School of Magic.
Again, he was willing to pay the greatest price in exchange for Anne's admission for this reason - since the problems were not clear, he simply retreated, not only for Anne's talent, but also for the same situation as the great Minister of Magic - if Anne was to enroll, he would be able to get the support of some of the councillors who were still waiting to see him.
In fact, Alan was right--and, unbeknownst to him, Anne wasn't the first to be treated like thisβand the headmaster had previously asked the British wizarding community for a man at a greater cost, but the request was ruthlessly rejected by two people - one was Cornelius Fudge and the other was Dumbledore.
As for the more valuable one, he didn't know anything about the deal at the moment - he was still lying in the cubicle under the stairs, with the spider as his company.

Allen, who had speculated on most of the deals that Professor McGonagall hadn't said, reacted immediately to inform his academy team that this weekend's game would be much harder than they had imagined.
How happy the little wizards at Hogwarts were, how painful the little wizards at Ilvermorny were - if there was a team of people who came to Hogwarts to look through the library with such a swagger, and went in and out as they pleased, and chose their favorite classes with great pride, Alan himself would not dare not guarantee that he would be able to do something.
For uninvited guests, the young wizards of Hogwarts probably reacted immediately by knocking on the sticks - the fighting in the houses for many years was not practiced in vain, and they knew almost every place where they could fight without seeing their faces. And this method will most likely not be held accountable - the fight of the little wizards will not be taken care of at the top.
If you put yourself in another position, Alan thinks that the young wizards of Ilvermorny will definitely do the same.
This is the case normally - but what about Quidditch that can engage in reasonable conflicts?
