Chapter 19: Miserable
Cornwall is located in the southwest of England, west of Devon, and is a species of elf that is supposed to be an outlier of its kind. `
What does this thing have to do with house-elves, I guess it takes a serious study to write a paper of tens of thousands of words, and usually, you just need to know that it's very bad.
Lockhart should have known how troublesome this kind of elf was, and although he reminded the students, not many people cared, just thinking that Lockhart was scaring them.
Because he had been watching "Singing Against the Tune" for half a month at Luna's house, and had listened to Mr. Lovegood tell a lot of strange things, Neville knew that this thing was particularly difficult, and unfortunately, he sat in the first row in this class.
These little elves were iron-blue, about eight inches tall, with small pointed faces and very sharp and piercing voices, as if many budgies were arguing. As soon as the covers were removed, they began to chirp, jump up and down, shake the cage grille, and make all sorts of weird grimaces at those who came nearby.
I don't know what kind of psychology it is, Lockhart actually opened the door of the cage.
"Well, let's see what you do with them!" he exclaimed.
It was a mess, the elves flew around like rockets, and a few of them rushed out of the window and scattered broken glass in the back of the classroom. The rest wreak havoc in the classroom, more than a rampaging rhinoceros. ?.? grab inkwell bottles and throw them at the class, tearing books and paper to shreds, tearing off pictures on walls, turning waste bins upside down, and throwing bags and textbooks out of broken windows.
Two of them flew towards Neville with bad intentions, but before they could start making trouble, Neville swung their books and flew away, crashing into the wall and fainting, looking like repelling mosquitoes.
I have to say that Lockhart's appearance was actually quite disappointing to Neville, because Lockhart seemed to be more flustered than the students, and he was slow to stop this qiē.
Neville grabbed an elf flying over his head and threw it at the elf who was holding Hermione's bag and trying to escape.
"Smack!"
The two elves collide in the air and crash.
It should be said that Neville's accuracy is quite good, and according to Fred and George, he can enter the Quidditch team and become a good chaser.
In fact, the twin brothers had already proposed to Wood that he would allow Neville to enter the Quidditch team for training first.
Hermione's bag fell to the floor, but no one cared about it as Lockhart finally stood up from behind the lectern.
"Come, bring them together, bring them together, they're just pixies...... Lockhart shouted, rolling up his sleeves and waving his wand and shouting, "Peschipixipestonomi!"
To no avail, one elf grabbed Lockhart's wand and threw it out the window. ?.?'Lockhart gasped and got under the lectern table again, as several elves were throwing books at him.
An elf flew up to Hermione's bag and threw its contents everywhere, including a can.
Neville's eyesight was good, so he spotted the can of herring that he had forgotten about at a glance. He couldn't help but gasp as an elf caught the can and tore the lid open.
"Run!"
Neville yelled at everyone in the classroom, and it was the first thing he said in the lesson. He didn't even want a book, and pulled Hermione and ran towards the nearest exit. Harry and Ron had been hiding under their desks, but when they saw Neville running, they ran away even before the bell rang.
The other students hadn't reacted yet, or most hadn't seen what had just happened, but soon they understood.
The elf who first opened the can of herring lost consciousness and fell from the air before he realized what terrible thing he had opened. The canned herring in its hand landed right on the lectern, and everything inside spilled out.
"It's ...... ...... vomit"
Before Lockhart could finish his sentence, his body had already reacted (and the content was too disgusting afterwards, so I won't elaborate on it). After almost throwing up his bile and his stomach cramping, he finally struggled, and with the last of his strength he managed to escape from the classroom, passing out of the aisle after not walking far.
He was already the last person to escape from the classroom, and the quick-witted student covered his mouth and nose, and the slower ones were like Lockhart, but they also escaped.
The Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, if nothing else, should need to be replaced.
Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, it depends on whether Lockhart can survive this hurdle, otherwise he will need to change again.
People say that this position was cursed by the Dark Lord, and now it seems that it is true.
In fact, Hermione initially blamed Neville for making too much of a fuss, and was a little unhappy with his inaction. Neville could obviously solve the elves that Lockhart couldn't clean up, but he sat in his seat and coped passively.
However, when Hermione covered her nose and watched the defence-the-dark arts classroom from afar, she didn't want to say anything.
What else can be said?
Blame Neville for why he didn't leave her behind and join Lockhart?
Come to think of it, the only thing that can be blamed is the can of herring that "belongs" to Neville, so who brought the canned herring to the classroom?
"Let's go. Hermione said.
"I'm in trouble again. Neville grimaced, "This time it shouldn't be as simple as deducting points." ”
Harry was relieved, "It's not your fault, it's Professor Lockhart who released those elves." ”
"Well, I always feel sorry for him. ”
"That's because he doesn't have the ability, I can see it, he doesn't blow as well as he does. ”
Ron said disdainfully, what he said made Hermione very dissatisfied, people will sympathize with the weak and unlucky, not to mention that Lockhart has a high status in Hermione's heart.
"Nonsense!" Hermione said indignantly, "you've all read his books, think of the amazing things he did!"
"It's just that he himself says he's done it. Ron muttered.
Although Harry agreed with Ron's statement, he knew that it was better to divert the topic at this time, now was not the time to argue, and sooner or later he would find out what kind of person Lockhart was.
"Let's go, go back and wait for the professors to take care of this. ”
Harry didn't want to stay here any longer, they couldn't do anything but watch anyway.
"Oh. ”
Neville answered, and followed Harry away, but he was still frowning and preoccupied.
It is said that during the cleaning of the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, at least ten house-elves collapsed in the classroom and were eventually carried out by their companions.
