Chapter 5: The Sorting Ceremony
It's a little late.,Because of the modification of a thing.,I also went to see Ultraman Nexus OP.ć

A singing hat, that's not something unusual.
It would be a rare or unique thing to let the hat determine the outcome of the new Sorting House at Hogwarts, and that tradition has been going on for a thousand years.
In all fairness, Neville had only one feeling about the song the magical Sorting Hat sang, and that was that he felt that the Sorting Hat thought exactly like him - there were no good people in Slytherin and that Gryffindors were all good people.
ā...... Because I'm a thinking hat!"
When the Sorting Hat had finished singing, the audience applauded, and it bowed to each of the four tables, and then stood still.
Professor McGonagall took a few steps forward, a roll of parchment in her hand.
"Whoever I call by name will put on his hat and sit on a stool and wait for the Sorting House. Professor McGonagall said, "Hannah Abbott!"
A ruddy-faced little girl with two blonde braids stumbled out of the queue and put on her sorting hat, which just covered her eyes, and she sat down, pausing for a moment.
"Hufflepuff!" shouted the Sorting Hat.
The people at the table on the right applauded Hannah and welcomed her to their table.
Someone made a guinea pig of the real yĆ n, and the tension of the freshmen was relieved, because the sorting ceremony was not as scary as some people said.
"So, we're just going to put on this hat. Ron whispered to Harry, "I'm going to kill Fred, and I hear him say it's like fighting a giant." ā
Neville glanced at Ron, feeling a little lost for some reason, if it was really like Ron's brother said, the Sorting Ceremony could fight real giants, well, it was really expected.
The sorting ceremony continued, with new students joining in from all four houses, and sometimes the Sorting Hat immediately called out the name of the house, but other times it took some time to make a decision.
"Hermione Granger!"
Hermione almost ran to the stool and hurriedly buttoned her hat to her head.
"Gryffindor!"
Looking at Hermione, who had joined Gryffindor, with a look of envy, Neville's heart beat a little faster, because it was going to be him soon.
"Neville Longbottom!"
Professor McGonagall pronounced Neville's name, and as before, he caught the eyes of everyone in the hall.
"Whew. ā
With a soft exhalation, Neville's stiff steps were like a puppet toy with rusty joints that hadn't been well maintained, and it seemed that the squeaky grinding sound could still be heard.
He wasn't far from the Sorting Hat, less than ten paces, but Neville had the feeling that every second was like a year.
ā1-2-1...... 1-2-1......ā
Neville counted in his mind as he usually did when he ran, 1 was his left foot and 2 was his right foot, so he didn't need to be nervous, he didn't need to be impatient, he just walked over as usual.
However, as he walked, Neville noticed that he seemed to have missed a number, so the order was reversed, 1 became the right foot, and 2 became the left foot.
[Oops!]
Neville was in a hurry, and subconsciously took a step on his right foot, and when his center of gravity shifted, he moved his right foot again, wanting to adjust. There were only a few small steps left from the final steps of the Sorting Hat, each no more than three inches high, but enough to block Neville's right foot.
The moment he lost his balance, Neville knew he was going to make a fool of himself, and he still had the mind to wonder if he was the first freshman in Hogwarts history to fall on the ground during the Sorting Ceremony.
As many times before, a warm spell of magic welled up in his mind, and Neville's eyes became blank and unfocused.
The passage of time seemed to slow down, at least for Neville, who saw every qiÄ movement slowed down, even turned into slow motion. He could see the change in the expression on Hermione's face in the distance, from excitement to worry and nervousness, and he could see every bit of it.
It's not that all of them have slowed down, it's that his stream of consciousness has changed faster.
It's a strange feeling, consciousness seems to be faster than time, and legend has it that many people can look back on a QiÄ experience just a few seconds before they die, which is quite similar to Neville's situation at this time.
Neville now has plenty of time to adapt.
The waist rod is bent forward, and the palm of the hand can touch the ground earlier and hold it steadily. Then he exerted his strength at the waist, and with a gentle kick of his feet on the ground, Neville's whole body stood upside down, swinging forward like a pendulum. His arms flexed slightly, stretched out like springs, his waist strained again, and his upper body flung forward, and with this force, Neville finally reversed his head and feet as he was about to land, and his feet were firmly on the ground.
"Smack. ā
Neville clapped his hands lightly, letting the dust off his hands, the warm current in his mind retracted, and the qiÄ in his eyes changed back to the original scene.
Not many people may have noticed that the ground where Neville was holding the ground with his hands was slightly concave and inconspicuous, but it was.
The audience was silent.
Then there is the noise and noise.
In Neville's eyes, Fang Cai's every qiÄ is slow motion, but in the eyes of others, Neville's Fang Cai's movements are simply -
"Handsome!"
Ron lost his voice and clapped his hands excitedly, and there were many people who felt like him, and they all applauded and gave Neville a round of applause.
Albus Dumbledore sat at the top and center of the professorship, and he also smiled and clapped, but the movements were different from the others, he tapped the back of the other hand with four fingers.
Not many people may have noticed that the ground where Neville was holding the ground with his hands was slightly concave and inconspicuous, but it was.
Neville was a little stunned by the sudden applause, but then he was quickly relieved that it was a good thing that these people were clapping instead of cheering or laughing at themselves.
With a sigh of relief, Neville looked at the Sorting Hat in front of him, and now he was facing the student chair on his left and the professor's chair on his right, directly opposite him, only three steps away from him.
[If you don't know what to do, then don't do anything, if you know what to do, then don't waste time.] ā Mr. Lyle.
Branch!
In the last three steps, in full view of everyone, Neville walked more steadily than ever.
The Sorting Hat tilted its head to look at Neville, and seemed to furrow, though it wasn't easy to tell. It let Neville pick it up, put it on his head with seriousness and solemnity, and then said something to him in Neville's mind.
"You're not smart, you might even say clumsy......"
Neville's expression changed slightly, but before he could say anything, the Sorting Hat was already shouting, "Gryffindor!"
There was a rush of ecstasy in his heart, Neville almost couldn't help jumping up, if he did, maybe he would drill a hole in the ceiling of the hall?
"Thank you!"
Thanking him gratefully, Neville took off the Sorting Hat and placed it away carefully, then walked around the pit in the ground and strode eagerly towards the Gryffindor table.
It's not a Slytherin, it's a Gryffindor!
It's not a Slytherin, it's a Gryffindor!
It's not a Slytherin, it's a Gryffindor!
Important things, be sure to say three times.
"Wait a minute. ā
As he passed by Professor McGonagall, Neville was stopped by a shout.
Looking up a little dazed, Professor McGonagall gently smoothed the folds of Neville's robes with her hands, dusting off his sleeves and handing Neville a handkerchief for him to wipe his face.
"Thank you!"
"Walk slowly, be careful not to fall again. ā
Professor McGonagall admonished, and then she looked at Neville, who was cautious and like a landmine, and wondered if she had said the first half of the sentence too much.
Shaking her head imperceptibly, Professor McGonagall calmed the ground with a spell, then picked up the list of students and read the next name:
"Draco Malfoy!"
............
The Sorting Ceremony continues, and Neville's Sorting Ceremony has ended, and just as the Sorting Ceremony is just the beginning of the school year, Neville's life at Hogwarts and Gryffindor has only just begun.
