Chapter 9 Something Goes Wrong
In ancient times, it was not easy for ordinary people to go on a long trip, and the fatigue was not as simple as an idiom.
Wizards, on the other hand, were much more convenient, and since the thirteenth century, they have used high-speed and convenient means such as the Floo network, in addition to flying broomsticks, flying carpets, and many other means of transportation.
It's a pity that with the advancement of Muggle technology, it is becoming more and more difficult to fly around the sky freely on a flying broomstick as before, because of the Secrecy Act, the Ministry of Magic is becoming more and more effective in controlling flights day by day, and there is a special department responsible for dealing with this issue.
Mr. Weasley was caught in the sky by Muggles last year for Harry and Ron using his own collection of modified flying cars, causing a commotion and receiving a more severe punishment.
It's a bit of a stretch.
For Harry, the summer vacation at his uncle's house was really not so easy, he couldn't understand why he was staying here, every day here was a difficult torture, and sometimes he even thought that Azkaban might not be worse than here.
Anyway, all that is lost is freedom and fun.
Finally, the day before his birthday, he couldn't hold back any longer, and he didn't want to endure it anymore, so he packed his bags and left Dursley's house.
The sky is high and the birds fly, and the sea is wide and the fish jumps.
Probably every child who runs away from home feels this way at the beginning, and time will prove their immaturity, or naivety.
Harry, for example, spent ten minutes making a decision and packing up and leaving, and then thought about it for twenty minutes without deciding where to go and settle the rest of the summer vacation.
When it comes to where to stay, Harry doesn't really understand Dumbledore's arrangement, because it's an undisclosed fact that Voldemort isn't dead and is still brewing a comeback. Under these circumstances, Harry felt that his safety was not guaranteed at all, and that he should not expect the Dursleys who did not like him to protect him desperately.
What's more, when that time comes, it's not up to you who will protect whom.
Therefore, the necessary condition for the foothold is security and confidentiality, and it must be the home of a trustworthy and strong enough person.
Dumbledore was the first choice, but Harry felt it was more likely that he would be sent back.
Ron's family was the second choice, he liked the Burrow very much, he liked the Weasleys, but unfortunately the family traveled to Egypt.
Hermione was a Muggle family......
Neville, uh, his house fits the bill perfectly.
Sure enough, you still have to count on Neville at critical moments, this is the first time that Neville has been saved?
Behind every savior is a hard-working, selfless supporting role.
Thinking about what he didn't have, Harry breathed a sigh of relief, and he dug out the letter that Neville had written to him in his bag, which had Neville's address, and it was an invitation from the beginning of the holiday, and Neville said that his grandmother wanted to see Harry.
Speaking of which, today is Neville's birthday, so I need to prepare some gifts or something.
The next step was to put it into action, and the summer at the end of July was hot, but Harry's heart was just as hot, and the confusion and apprehension that had haunted him for twenty minutes vanished.
Diagon Alley is a great trade market, and if you're looking for birthday presents, it's the go-to place for wizards, and there's nothing that the Golden Galleon can't solve.
As a teenager about to turn fourteen, Harry wasn't even capable of going out on his own, but he always had a strange and indescribable feeling on the way to Diagon Alley.
He didn't pay much attention to it at first, but as the excitement passed, the awkwardness of being followed by him and spying on him became entangled in his heart.
This is not normal.
Reaching into his pocket and grabbing his wand, Harry calmed down a little, maybe compared to Neville, he was still much worse, but after all, after a few years of studying magic, if it was just an ordinary villain, he could solve it by surprise.
In the Defence Against the Dark Arts textbook, there were a lot of spells that could solve the problems he encountered, not to mention the fact that he had been working hard because of Lockhart's Duel Club before.
By this time, Harry had completely ignored the ban on non-underage wizards from casting spells outside of school.
Unfortunately, from Surrey to London until he arrived at the Leaky Cauldron, the presence that followed him didn't give him a chance to cast a spell.
Before entering the bar, Harry finally couldn't help but turn around and look back, and there was no one in his eyes, as if his previous feelings were completely delusional.
Is it really a delusion?
Harry stubbornly believed that he couldn't go wrong with his feelings, because it had helped him many times in the past, and it could be off, but as long as it did, it meant that something was wrong.
Suppressing his irritability and uneasiness, Harry walked into the bar, reassuring himself that whatever it was, there should be no problem here, where the wizards gathered.
Probably.
At this point, he didn't bother to carefully select suitable gifts, but just hastily bought some gadgets. After asking the store to pack and fill out the greeting card, Harry hurriedly borrowed the fireplace in the store, sprinkled a handful of Floo powder, and disappeared after saying his destination out loud.
It looks like an escape.
Harry was right.
When he was in front of the fireplace, shouting out the address of Neville's house, a big, scrawny black dog was lying there at the door of the store, his eyes slightly squinted, as if he was dozing off.
After about ten minutes, the big black dog got up leisurely, blended into the crowd, and disappeared.
Around the same time, the Minister of Magic, enraged by the prison break, officially issued arrest warrants for Sirius Black and Bellatrix Lestrange.
Live or die.
Of course, this matter has nothing to do with Neville for the time being.
London to Leeds, West Yorkshire, is also a short distance on the map, but for Floo.com, it's just a blink of an eye.
When Harry showed up at Neville's house, there were only two people who actually knew him, but everyone knew his name and knew him as Harry Potter.
The moment he saw Harry, Neville got up and almost lifted the table in front of him, and took a few steps, and even a gust of wind blew in the room.
"Long time no see, Harry. Neville said excitedly.
Sure enough, you still have to count on Harry at the critical moment, this is the first time that Harry has been saved?
