Chapter Eighty-Four: A Few Legends
"Mr. Wang, can you discuss? This relic will be borrowed from me for the time being, I have a friend in a chain hotel, he has a lot of research in collecting, you see, can you make it convenient, let him see and understand, by the way for this rare treasure to evaluate the market value, how about it?"
"I fancy it, Mr. Bao is completely in charge, it's just that this rare treasure is rare in the world, you have to cherish it, and you must not damage it!"
"I think to myself, this way, now you take the prescription to the pharmacy to grab the medicine, I will take the relics to meet my friend, this afternoon and evening, we will contact again, how about it?" Bao Xiaofei asked.
"Ah, a word is a certainty!" Mr. Wang boldly agreed to Bao Xiaofei.
The two shook hands with each other and said goodbye, and Bao Xiaofei carefully walked out of Mr. Wang's club with the relics in his hand.
......
Songshan Shaolin Temple chain hotel.
Guo Haitao's eyes lit up when he looked at the relics, which was the only time he had seen it in his life. I saw that the relics here are like the size of walnuts, but there are crystals around the body, crystal clear, because the preservation age is relatively old, basically has lost its luster, just clean it, it will still appear the color of the year.
In addition to being busy with business on weekdays, Guo Haitao really has a little-known hobby of collecting, and this secret was inadvertently said when he and Bao Xiaofei became New Year's friends, and inadvertently said it while drinking.
And the origin of this relic, he can probably say the last reason. Therefore, he told Bao Xiaofei about the legend of the relic.
According to legend, in ancient India, there was a king of pure rice, he ruled ancient India for more than half a century, he had only one prince under his knees, and lived a worry-free life all day long.
On the day of the prince's sixth birthday, King Jingfan invited his ministers to celebrate his birthday, and of course a banquet was indispensable.
During the feast, a fortune teller came to the king of pure rice and said that he wanted to give the child a fortune plan in the future, and see if the prince could rule the whole of India in the future.
After getting permission, the fortune teller gave the prince a divination, and there were two results. The fortune teller told them one by one to the king of pure rice.
The first is that the prince will become a great sage in the future, a great figure to be enshrined in future generations. The second is that the prince will rule over the whole of India in the future, but they will need to be well watched. If it is not well cared for, it will definitely become the first result in the future.
Of course, the king of pure rice wanted him to be the second kind of person, that is, to rule the whole of India in the future.
Therefore, King Johan ordered that the prince should not be allowed to step out of the palace, so that he could grow up in the palace without worry.
Time flies, ten years have passed in the blink of an eye, and the prince has grown up to the age of inheriting the throne.
One day, when King Johan led his ministers on a hunting trip, he loosened his guard on the prince, and the prince went outside with a few attendants from the palace to have a look.
Not far from the palace, he saw several beggars begging along the street, and that scene shook the prince's heart deeply, and he felt that what he saw in the palace was a false image. Especially on the leg of one of the beggars, who could no longer walk because of the rot, and maggots had grown.
This scene deeply shocked the prince.
Back in the palace, his whole world has changed, the beautiful little girl who he took care of on weekdays does not look beautiful at all now, and the subordinates who usually obey him in every way have become not cute at all because of the greed of human nature.
At this time, the prince was ready to change this situation, so he insisted on leaving the palace to cultivate himself without convincing his family.
When he came out of the palace, he ate only a handful of bran noodles every day, and this went on for seven years.
For seven years, I thought about how I could save myself from all this suffering.
He hadn't had a haircut in seven years, and his hair had grown so long that even a bird had made a nest on his head.
Until all the birds flew away, his doubts were still not solved. One day, he felt that this kind of hard work was not a way to go, and decided to change his way of practice.
So he went to the Ganges to take a bath, and because of his long malnutrition, when he was just about to go ashore, his mind was dizzy, and the prince fainted.
At this time, a shepherdesss happened to pass by at this time, and when he saw the prince fainting on the ground, he gave him a bowl of porridge, and the prince slowly came to his senses after drinking it, and legend has it that that day made it the eighth day of the lunar month.
When he woke up, the prince saw that the shepherdesss was still so happy herding the sheep every day, and he wondered if his own cultivation method was wrong?
Later that tree became known as the Bodhi Tree.
After meditating for seven days and seven nights, the prince finally realized it on the morning of the eighth day, and it was at that moment that he realized the true meaning of life under the Bodhi tree, and he became a Buddha.
Around 500 B.C., the enlightened Buddha passed away in a forest in India.
Because he founded Buddhism, his disciples are spread all over the four continents.
The disciples wept and cremated his body, and in the process, some of the bones were refined into crystals, and some were blackened.
But those were preserved by his disciples, and those that were refined into crystals were what later generations called relics.
These relics of his were enshrined by later generations of disciples and have been passed down to this day. At the time of the Han Dynasty in China, a large number of relics have penetrated into the Central Plains, and the relics in front of you must be a real relic.
Bao Xiaofei was a little fascinated when he heard it, so he didn't insert a word in the middle.
I have heard that this relic has another benefit, which is that it can bring back to the earth those who have lost their lives.
"What? is there such a thing?" Bao Xiaofei grew his mouth in shock, but he didn't understand the legend at all.
"Yes, I've just heard of it, it seems that some of the Shaolin monks used to know this, and during the Song Dynasty of the Huaxia Kingdom, there was a Taoist master who would. ”
"Oh, Dao Ji, that's Monk Jigong. Bao Xiaofei said, shaking his fake handle as a fan.
"But there is one thing, the harder the relic touches something, and the two collide, the relic is hard. But if the eggs collide, the relics will shatter in an instant. I also read this from the book, but it has never been confirmed. Guo Haitao said, looking at Bao Xiaofei.
"What about the market value of this relic?" Bao Xiaofei actually wanted to know the market value of this relic, so that he could use money to measure it.
"This is a priceless treasure, and at the moment, it is impossible to measure it with soft girl coins. Guo Haitao said solemnly.
After a few minutes, Guo Haitao put the relics on the table and walked outside.
Bao Xiaofei looked at the relics, thinking in his mind that the son of the King of Pure Rice has such superior conditions, why did he still come out to suffer so much, is it that the prince is really idle and has nothing to do?
While he was thinking wildly, Guo Haitao came in with an egg. Bao Xiaofei took the relics with some seriousness.
"Mr. Guo, you just said that this is a priceless treasure, and if it collides with an egg, it will be shattered, don't try it!" Bao Xiaofei looked at Guo Haitao nervously.
"Mr. Bao, all the legends I told you just now are legends, and we haven't seen them, how can we prove whether they are true or false?
"I'm saying, this thing is a Buddha bone to put it bluntly, how can it be so magical as the legend, it's okay, it's mine, let's try it!"
As he spoke, he took the relics from Bao Xiaofei, and he wanted to demonstrate whether the previous legends were true.
Bao Xiaofei saw that Guo Haitao insisted on trying, and he felt that with his worth, even if he broke the relics, he could afford to pay for them, so he took out the relics hidden behind him.
Guo Haitao took a closer look and concentrated on smashing the relics towards the eggs.
"Smack!"
The egg and the relic collided, making a muffled sound, and it was ...... in an instant
