Chapter 1036 Three Identifications

This brings us to the fact that the Chinese way of thinking is completely different from the way of thinking in the West.

The dream of a strong country does not distinguish between countries and nations, and for the rise of the country and its own nation, it is understandable to fight openly and secretly. But generally speaking, the aspect of foreign relations, including diplomacy, is nothing more than cultural identity, economic identity and political identity.

The West's foreign relations should be divided into two stages. The first stage was before World War II, when political identity was generally given priority, and if you didn't agree, troops would be sent to attack you.

Then there is the economic identity. It is easy to understand that all kinds of means plundered the wealth of the colonies.

If there is enough time, the end is cultural recognition. For example, the languages of many former colonial countries are the languages of the former European and American powers, and the languages of the original indigenous people are basically in museums. In countries like sticks, the style of behavior in the country, bowing at every turn, is similar to the book, although the two of them have to pinch each other as soon as they meet, and they like to resist and linger. And then there's something like the Commonwealth, the CFA franc, or whatever, which is also a remnant of cultural identity.

But this order has a huge drawback - it's just a wave of coolness, and it's gone when it's done.

I don't want to analyze the reasons in detail. Let's just look at the results? Those colonial powers in the past have now basically lost their former colonies. The empire on which the sun never sets has become a legend.

Why is this so? Because human nature is like that. How cool is it to rob your house as a robber? And then to be a lord and ride on the head of the colony natives to make a fortune, that is even cooler. This is not something that can be changed by making some hypocritical propaganda, or by some hypocritical brainwashing work. Otherwise, the same Caucasians, the American Revolutionary War and the Boer War, because of the sharp contradictions between the suzerains and the colonies, they themselves would fight to the death.

Therefore, where there is oppression, there is resistance. When the Western colonial countries could not afford the high security costs and casualties, eventually those colonies would become independent.

And the second stage is the Yalta system after World War II. Western countries, led by the United States, have found that economic identity comes first, political identity comes second, and finally cultural .......

This is actually a kind of economic colonial thinking. Rather deceptive. But at the same time, it should be admitted that at least it is much more advanced and civilized than the first stage. But what if economic identity is affected? Quite simply, you can often see in the news that the aircraft carrier of the world's police is coming again, or the sanctions are coming again.

Finally, there is culture. To tell the truth, it seems that Western countries have been propagating "Western values", and many of our domestic public knowledge and many white leftists abroad seem to be taking it seriously. But none of their rulers took it seriously. For example, after World War II, how many dictators did the United States support, and how many coups did it secretly carry out? Why did this happen? Because this is the least important. If there is no contradiction, of course, it is possible to happily promote "Western values," but if there is a contradiction with the economy and politics, it is definitely the first two that take precedence. What about supporting the dictator? How about dropping cruise missiles on your head?

And the order of our Chinese is generally like this: cultural identity first, economic identity second, and political identity last. We all know that we are the descendants of Yan and Huang, that is, the two major tribes slowly merged, and the totem of the dragon has at least twelve ancient tribes merged with the totem.

Why is this so?

You may have all heard a joke -- how did our huge land and more than a billion nationalities come about?

Of course, jokes are just jokes, and that's not the case. In China's history, it has also faced the problem of territorial expansion, and even tried a variety of methods, perhaps including direct colonization and economic colonization by Western colonizers, but in the end, it was found that for the sake of long-term peace and stability, the order of these three identities must not be wrong! Cultural identity is the most important!

This is the wisdom of our ancestors. For example, before modern times, many neighboring countries were already using Chinese, learning Confucian classics, and cultural identity was already in place. There was also a tributary system, which did not give priority to the economy, and gave preferential treatment to those vassal states in terms of benefits. Not to mention that in some respects, there are limitations in insight and means, but at least the principle of cultural identity is implemented.

We can assume that without the interference of the Western colonizers and the development of communication and transportation problems, what would happen to these vassal states in a few hundred years? What would happen to their nations? Just as the Han nation slowly developed from the Yellow River valley to the Yangtze River valley, the Sichuan basin, and finally to Lingnan and Yunnan-Guizhou, and even the population reached hundreds of millions.

Then as long as there is an opportunity, it will naturally merge.

Anyway, these are all afterthoughts, pure academic discussions, and you can laugh it off after seeing it.

However, the disadvantage of this sequence is that it takes a long time, and it may take hundreds of years or more than ten generations to persevere. But the Chinese have always been patient and persistent, so it is not a big problem. But the advantage is that there is no sequelae in the slightest. When integrated, it will naturally be recognized by everyone.

......

So here, Westerners like Dr. Locke still have some ideas of economic colonization. In order to control the black gold, I don't care if there will be war and division and the people will be miserable?

Jing Jian is completely different, he first needs to get the cultural identity of people like Bousanjo. The cultural identity here is not about learning to speak Chinese or write Chinese characters or anything, which is already at an advanced stage. At the very least, cultural identity, not to mention being a good friend, at least to maintain a mutually beneficial, mutual exchange and understanding partnership, right?

Of course, to be able to reach a consensus, Heilan City still needs to fight for its own strength. In the days that followed, Jing Jian heard that Busanjo had also visited a number of "businessmen" from European and American countries, and should have received some aid, promises, and possibly even secret agreements. None of this has anything to do with China.

Anyway, the day after Jing Jian left for Europe, Heilan City publicly announced that it had become a "free city", and it was only one step away from independence.

Due to the conditions at this time, international influence and money are completely inferior to those Western countries, in fact, China's position is quite passive. It should be understandable that if you want to hug your thighs, you have to hug the thick one, and they are not stupid. In other words, China's "perseverance" has only just begun, and the Black Dawn is still quite skeptical of such good intentions.

Jing Jian has actually tried to get the best conditions. Similar to the "open door" policy implemented by the United States in the past, it is already very good to allow China to join in the pie. And at least the "dirty work" that European and American countries do not pay attention to, and in general, the results are much better than expected.
