020 Mentoring Battle

Guided Battle [Japanese: 指導戦, Shidousen, English: Guidance_Battle]

[Guide you forward with my strength.] 】

————————————————————

Guided warfare refers to a battle in which one side reasonably controls the rhythm and guides the other side to notice its own shortcomings or make correct judgments, rather than for the purpose of winning.

Guided battles are a common way for gym owners to fight with challengers, and they are also a compulsory course for hall owners. They will put just the right amount of pressure on the challenger, press every step but maintain the balance of the battle, and use their own instructions to demonstrate to the challenger, so as to stimulate the challenger's thinking and judgment ability, so that they can grow rapidly in the battle. "Winning" is not the goal, "making the other party grow" is the real meaning.

This type of combat is usually only possible if one side is much stronger than the other.

The instructed side usually does not feel that the other party is fighting a guided battle during the battle, but will feel that the battle is extremely intense. When they think carefully after "regretting defeat", they can discover the true intentions of the other party.

Guided battles are different from normal battles in that they require special skills. Trainers who want to become hall owners must take courses related to Mentoring Battles and pass a quiz to be recognized.

With the exception of the Gym Master or the Trainer who is targeting this profession, there are very few Trainers who will go out of their way to learn how to coach combat.

Far from being as labor-intensive as straightforward combat, it requires the coaching side to constantly increase their attention, judge the opponent's range of abilities, and take control of the overall situation, and achieve just the right amount of urgency, and this technique is so complex that even if there is a huge difference in strength, freelance trainers will usually use each other's true strength to fight.

For young trainers with little experience, guided combat is the best way to quickly improve their strength - which is why young trainers with strong men in the family are often more powerful than ordinary people, and this experience and combat awareness accumulated since childhood are difficult to be surpassed by civilian trainers who have no guidance.

And the mentoring battle of the Heavenly King Champion-level powerhouse is even more difficult to find. Even though the Four Heavenly Kings and Champions of each region hold regular mentoring tournaments, it still takes a lot of effort and money to win these spots.
