Ranwu Lake, which means "goat's milk lake" in Tibetan, is located on the Sichuan-Tibet Highway 89 kilometers southwest of Basu County, Xizang Qamdo Prefecture, and is the main source of Palung Zangpo, a tributary of the Brahmaputra River.
