Chapter 3: Reunion
He clenched his fists, and his deep and silent eyes suddenly rippled in circles.
Feng Chengyu clenched his teeth, his voice low and cold, as if implying infinite forbearance. He called out her nameβ
"Ding Dong. β
The woman was dragged by her hair, her stubborn little face was wrinkled, and she never opened her eyes.
Suddenly, hearing him call her name, the woman stiffened, slowly opened her eyes, and looked up at the man in front of her.
The sourness at the roots of his hair didn't seem to be so unbearable at this time, Ding Dong opened a pair of dark glasses, staring at Feng Chengyu's slightly drooping eyebrows. He stood in front of her, the expression on his face was not shocked, even against the light, Ding Dong could see his handsome face clearly, as well as the disdain in his eyes.
She never dreamed that there would be such a coincidence in the world.
He still has that calm and breezy appearance, even if he looks at himself so embarrassed after all these years, his expression still hasn't changed. It's as if her life and death have nothing to do with him.
A sudden surge of violent sourness caught her, and all the fragments of broken memories flooded into her mind, and she felt her brain buzzing. For a moment, she lost the ability to think.
Ding Dong swallowed his saliva, his long eyelashes flashed, and the emotions in his eyes were buried by her. She gritted her teeth, and the words in her stomach were entangled several times, but when she finally came out, there was only one bland sentence left: "Who are you?"
She cleaned up her uneasiness seamlessly, and the corners of her mouth even hooked up a ridiculous arc. I don't seem to know the man in front of me.
It was obvious that a trace of surprise and anger flashed in Feng Chengyu's eyes, Ding Dong was stabbed by his gaze, and slightly avoided his gaze to look at him.
"I admit that I stole your things, if you want to kill or chop whatever, you don't need to tie up and humiliate me like this, although I am a thief, but I also want to be faced. Ding Dong crackled and said, the corners of his mouth raised into a big grin.
She tried to pretend to be relaxed, not wanting him to hear the panic in her tone.
She wasn't ready to reunite with him.
Feng Chengyu looked at her deeply, his eyebrows frowning slightly. After a while, he spoke, and his tone was extremely mocking: "Do people like you have a face?"
She's the kind of person.
Ding Dong clenched his teeth in an instant, his slender fingers clenched into fists, his nails deeply embedded in the flesh. She raised her head and stared at Feng Chengyu, her eyes were terrifying, her white lips moved slightly, but she didn't say a word in the end.
Although he rehearsed in his mind several times what he might say, Ding Dong didn't expect that he would speak so hurtfully.
"I haven't seen you for three years, and you're still doing this kind of shady thing. Feng Chengyu said this, and the disdain and disgust in his eyes were clear.
The man who was grabbing her hair had already let go, and Ding Dong's hands and feet were tied, so he could only kneel in front of Feng Chengyu.
In such a humiliating posture, she listened to him express her disgust for herself word by word. His every word pierced her heart like a needle, piercing her from avoiding.
Ding Dong's eyes gradually darkened, and the throbbing in his chest slowly subsided. She looked up at him, and her voice was flat: "I don't understand what you're saying, do you rich people have something wrong with your brains?"
Feng Chengyu's eyes darkened, and he took one last look at her, and quickly looked away, as if her humility and lowliness hindered his eyes.
"You go, I don't want to see you again. He turned his back and gave her no more looks.
Seeing Feng Chengyu say this, someone immediately came to untie Ding Dong.
Ding Dong indifferently let them fiddle with himself, his eyes fell deeply on Feng Chengyu, and his expression was momentarily distracted. But she eventually withdrew her gaze, moved her paralyzed legs and arms, and limped away.
She didn't look back, and Feng Chengyu didn't look back.
The garage light shone on her thin body, pulling out a long shadow.
Feng Chengyu stood in place, lowered his eyes, lit a cigarette, and took a hard puff. The scarlet cigarette butts flickered in the night, and the blue-gray smoke slowly drifted into the darkness and quickly dissipated.
"Seal the total, your watch. Lin Sen, an assistant wearing silver-rimmed glasses, respectfully presented the watch that had been stolen by Ding Dong.
Feng Chengyu only glanced sideways, and then frowned in disgust.
"Thrown. β
The things that the woman had touched, it was disgusting to see.
Lin Sen was stunned for a moment, and then glanced at the boss's expression, which didn't seem to be joking.
This is a Patek Philippe that is limited to one piece in the world.
He pondered, but in the end he did not refute it.
Anyone with a little insight in City A knows that disobedience to Feng Chengyu is tantamount to self-defeat.
Walking out of the abandoned garage, Ding Dong quickly found his way home.
However, she did not go back directly, but took the path and went in another direction.
When passing by the food stalls, Ding Dong was attracted by the aroma of the hot night market, and stared hungrily at the food on other people's tables for a long time before reluctantly leaving.
Eventually, she stopped in front of a small, old, signboard clinic.
After hesitating for a long time, she still didn't go in, just stood at the door and looked at the not-so-bright lights in the clinic, hesitating.
Looking at the window of the ward on the side, Ding Dong lowered his eyes and thought about it, and then stepped on the edge of the wall with his hands and feet, grabbed the guardrail of the window, and looked inside.
There were no lights in the ward, and through the outside lights, two beds could be vaguely seen. Near the window, a boy of about twelve or thirteen years of age lay quietly on it, his eyes closed and his lips bloodless, sleeping peacefully.
The quilts and pillows in the clinic were yellowed, and even the bedside tables had been smoothed out at two corners, and the original oily lacquer surface had peeled off, revealing layers of wooden padding inside.
Ding Dong looked at the boy for a long time, and it was not until the door of the ward was pushed open that she jumped from the window.
The nurse's voice reached Ding Dong's ears through the window: "Ding Xiaowei, get up, take medicine." β
"When is your sister going to pay for the medical bills? It's been two days, and our clinic is not a charity, so we can't let you live here for free all the time. β
The nurse's babbling complaints were all heard by Ding Dong. She slid slowly down the corner and sat down on the floor. Her bright, fawn-like eyes seemed to be covered with a layer of ash, as silent as a pool of stagnant water.
The ward was quiet for a while, and the boy's weak voice sounded: "My sister will come, she is raising money, please give you a few more days, my sister is really not easy to ......"
"Alright, alright. The boy's words were interrupted by the nurse, and Ding Dong only heard the other party say: "Don't always sell miserably in front of me, say it as if someone is easy." If your sister doesn't come by tomorrow at the latest, then we can only send you to the police station. β
Hearing this, Ding Dong's heart twitched, and his silent eyes flashed with obvious panic.
Ding Xiaowei was still in it: "Thank you, sister nurse, you are so good-looking." β
Every word smashed into Ding Dong's heart like a weight of 10,000 catties.
This was obviously very useful to the nurse, Ding Dong only heard the other party smile and reply with a "flamboyant tongue", and then laughed with Ding Xiaowei.
She stood up, didn't listen any more, and ran all the way back to the rental house in the bleak night wind.
She hadn't eaten for more than a day, her legs were a little weak unconsciously, and her head was full of whimpering, and she didn't realize that tears had flowed down her face.
People who passed by looked at this tearful girl in amazement, and guessed what misfortune had happened to her.
Ding Dong ran for a long time, until the noise in his ears disappeared, and then he stopped out of breath. At this stop, her legs went weak uncontrollably, and she fell to the ground.
She sat down on the cold ground like this, whimpering uncontrollably.
