Chapter 686: Sea Launch Platform!
Because of the mature design and construction drawings of the Russian technical experts, the progress of the laboratory is still very fast.
At the same time, Tan Yunsong has taken the technical team to Moscow, Russia to start preparations before the start of the fab.
Yang Jie stayed in Honghu City for two days, mainly to inspect several scientific research projects led by Professor Ma Weimin of the Naval University of Engineering.
After more than a year of various tests and improvements, the 25 MW fuel cell and permanent magnet motor provided by Huaxing Group to the Naval Engineering University has solved the engineering and technical problems in electromagnetic compatibility and power supply and distribution.
At present, Huaxia Ship Design and Research Institute has also re-carried out the third-generation Yuan-class conventional submarine and 052C surface ship according to this power system, and is now under construction.
The Ship Design and Research Institute is the top in the design field of the shipbuilding industry in Huaxia, and it is also a national first-class confidential unit, but for Yang Jie, he can smoothly enter the research institute to visit and investigate, after all, Yang Jie's identity and status are there, and now Huaxing Group is still a major customer of the Ship Design and Research Institute——
Huaxing Group Company, Huaxia Satellite Communications Company, Aerospace Group, and Shipbuilding Company have set up a Huaxia Sea Launch Company that can provide sea launch services, and Huaxing Group Company has the majority and has customized a sea mobile rocket launch platform to the Ship Design Institute.
Yang Jie established this company to serve his own Starlink project project, the main purpose of which is to flexibly transport the launch site to the vicinity of the equator, because the low latitude area can fully superimpose the rocket speed and rotation speed, improve the efficiency of rocket fuel, save the cost of rocket launch missions, and enhance the rocket carrying capacity.
In addition, the Sea Launch platform does not have to be confined to the inland with higher population density, and the fall of rocket wreckage after Sea Launch will not endanger the population, and even if the mission fails, it will not cause great losses, and it can also fully reduce the cost of personnel evacuation.
Another is that its launch platform is also more flexible, with more optional windows for launch times, and new launch sites can be opened up at sea, which has more advantages than land where every inch of land is valuable.
Although Yang Jie wanted to figure out the technology that the first-stage rocket could automatically land and recover, there was no such technical basis in China at this stage, but Yang Jie also customized a deep-sea salvage ship to carry out deep-sea salvage of the rocket wreckage.
Yang Jie hopes that the rocket launch platform adopts a solid fuel rocket, which does not need to spend a lot of time refueling fuel before the mission, which can greatly shorten the launch process, and change the liquid rocket launch preparation time unit from "months" to "weeks" or even "days", and the task response speed is the fastest.
Yang Jie established such a company not only to meet the development needs of his own Starlink plan, but also to target the market of satellite launch services.
This sea launch platform is modified on the basis of the development of a new multifunctional semi-submersible drilling platform proposed by the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense five years ago.
It is also the first time to do such a project in this area in China, and Yang Jie also spent a lot of money to invite an engineering and technical team from Norway's Aker Group to check the project from beginning to end.
Aker Group of Companies, which is a shareholder of Sea Launch, is also responsible for the preparation and design of the project's maritime engineering, including the preparation and design of the launch platform and command vessel.
The sea launch platform that Yang Jie wants to build this time is much larger than the platform designed and manufactured by the Norwegian Aker Group, and the ship design and research institute is from the ship design background, and many of the design logic and thinking are transplanted from the ship design, which does not meet the high requirements of the international marine engineering project for the safety and operation convenience of the design scheme.
Aker's engineering team is extremely detailed in the specifications and standards for offshore equipment, requiring lifting analysis for the maintenance and repair of every piece of equipment on the entire platform, and risk assessment for the basic design and detailed design of all critical systems.
Moreover, shipbuilding and offshore engineering equipment are completely different from the same level of challenges in terms of construction process and technology.
The structure and steel plate of the bulk carrier account for 60% of the total weight of the empty ship, and the equipment, pipelines, cables, etc. account for 40%, while the marine engineering equipment is the opposite, that is to say, the equipment and systems are more and more complex, and its system integration workload is more than 5 times that of the bulk carrier, including the installation of equipment and systems, mechanical and electrical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning, etc., especially the offshore launch platform is to stuff the launch tower and various support equipment onto the offshore platform, which is more complicated.
In order to test the complex and harsh sea conditions of the South China Sea, the design was based on a once-in-a-century wind and wave at the beginning of the design, and then simulated with a once-in-200-year wind and wave, which is equivalent to encountering a 17-level typhoon.
The Key Laboratory of Ocean Engineering of the Naval University of Engineering has carried out simulation experiments on dozens of sea conditions, and the computer has also simulated more than 1,000 kinds of sea conditions.
In order to cope with these harsh sea conditions, the design institute also designed a complex anchoring system, which has 12 15-ton anchors, each of which can produce more than 800 tons of grip.
Each anchor chain is 1,750 meters long and weighs more than 280 tons, and it also incorporates synthetic fiber cables based on high-strength nylon ropes to absorb the energy generated by the platform's movement, and if necessary, the system can quickly eject the anchor at a speed of 156 meters per minute, and it also has its own sensors to detect the pressure it is under.
In addition, due to the large size of the South China Sea and the difficulty of returning to land for replenishment, this sea launch platform requires a maximum variable load of several thousand tons, which also brings great difficulties to the construction.
The engineering and technical supervision team organized by Huaxing Group Company has almost strict requirements for the quality of construction, and in view of the characteristics of high welding requirements, Jiangnan Shipyard has organized more than 2,000 welder exams, and the best welders will participate in the construction of this sea launch platform.
These high-strength steel is smelted out of the metallurgical plant of Zhongyuan Automobile Group Company, which brings great challenges to welding, welding equipment has high requirements for rust removal, humidity and temperature, and it is easy to produce pores when the humidity is high.
These special welding equipment and welding materials are developed and designed by the Machine Tool Research Institute itself, which also ensures the welding quality of the launch platform.
Collisions and frictions are inevitable due to the need for other ships to be close to the supply process, and the technical team requires that even a 3,500-ton ship will be difficult to capsize even if it hits the platform head-on.
In addition, the possibility of collision should also be taken into account in the process of hoisting the rocket, and a lot of designs have been made on these hoisting equipment.
Now this sea launch platform has been started in the Jiangnan shipyard construction, at this stage is mainly to build more than 200 100-ton sections, after the completion of the transport to the dock assembly platform, and then combined into a total section of several hundred tons, and finally by the 1,000-ton gantry crane hoisting together.
In fact, Honghu Shipyard also wants to grab this order, but the internal management of this factory in recent years is very chaotic, and the mistakes in the quality management of military production are very big, and there are many problems with the early production of several 039, and then it was directly handed over to Jiangnan Shipyard to solve many quality problems of submarines.
In the middle of this, there was also the problem of military representatives greedy for ink, and several military representatives were dealt with, but it was still unable to solve the problems of low efficiency and poor product quality, and the Navy Armament Department decided to cancel the order for submarines this year, and instead handed over the order production task of 039 to Jiangnan Shipyard.
Jiang Yingzheng, the provincial party committee of Chubei Province, came forward to meet with the Navy Armament Department to get the production task of several Yuan-class submarines, and it was also the United Nations Commission of Science, Technology and Defense that carried out rectification of the Honghu City Shipyard.
Yang Jie would not hand over such a major project as the sea launch platform to Honghu Shipyard, but at the request of Jiang Yingzheng and Xu Youlun, Yang Jie still provided the first seven-axis five-linkage large-scale machine tool developed by the Machine Tool Research Institute to Honghu Shipyard for processing and production of large propellers.
