Chapter 129: The Dueling Club

Ravenclaw's performance in Quidditch was a shot in the arm, allowing the Ravenclaw wizards to not be discouraged even in the face of a huge gap of 200 points.

Instead, they listened carefully in class and fought for points. Even Edward no longer complains that Professor Lockhart always chooses him for role-playing. Because he knew that as long as he was obedient and let Professor Lockhart get his way, Ravenclaw would always get a valuable ten.

So, despite all the rumors about the Chamber of Secrets at Hogwarts Castle, the young wizards of Ravenclaw were able to keep their composure.

Although there is still curiosity and fear of the legendary secret room, the fulfilling study life also makes everyone have no time to devote more energy to speculation and fantasy.

Unlike Ravenclaw, rumors are rife in the other colleges, and everyone is suspicious.

First-year students are now always in groups of three or five, as if they are afraid that if they go it alone, they will be attacked.

During this time, everyone exchanged amulets, exorcisms, and other things to protect themselves without telling the teacher.

This practice quickly became popular in schools, and the young wizards of Ravenclaw also joined in the fun and bought some amethysts, garlic and other items.

Alan took the opportunity to order a large shipment of crystal glasses as an anonymous donor, which was entrusted to Prefect Penelope to distribute to all the young wizards of Ravenclaw, as well as wizards from other houses who were willing to accept the small gift.

Although the glasses can't stop the death gaze of the basilisk, there is still medicine to be saved if you are petrified, and there is no cure for being stared to death.

With the arrival of the first winter snow, the temperature drops rapidly. The entire Hogwarts is covered in silver, and it looks exceptionally clean and dazzling.

Perhaps because of the cold, the little wizards like to hide in the common room, where the huge fireplace burns with a roaring fireplace that warms the room.

Professor Flitwick has trained Allen in duels three times. All the combat skills and spell formulas, Alan is a master of the teaching, and his comprehension and practical ability are extremely strong.

Professor Flitwick was overjoyed, believing that what Eren lacked compared to a real dueling wizard was only magic and actual combat experience.

When the drowsiness came, someone handed the pillow. As Alan and Edward were walking through the foyer after Thursday morning's Charms class, they suddenly saw a small group of people gathered around the bulletin board, reading the words on a piece of parchment that had just been nailed.

The young wizards gathered around looked very excited, discussing the contents of the parchment.

"The school is going to start a dueling club!" said Edward, "and we're meeting for the first time tonight." Alan, you can just practice the dueling skills you learned from Professor Flitwick. ”

Although Alan didn't think that any of the current second-year students could beat him, he still agreed to participate. Perhaps, there are other gains!

So, at eight o'clock in the evening, Edward and Alan hurried back to the auditorium.

The long dining table vanished, and along one wall appeared a gilded stage, illuminated by hundreds of candles floating above.

Once again, the ceiling was dark like velvet, and almost all the students in the school came, crowded one after another, each with their own wands and their faces full of excitement.

"I don't know who is going to teach us," they squeezed sideways into the chattering crowd, Edward said, "Alan, you once said that Flitwick was a dueling champion when he was younger, could it be that he will teach us?"

"Think about it, which professor likes this kind of big scene the most, and which professor will miss this grand event to show his ability and demeanor?"

A meaningful smile tugged at the corner of Alan's mouth, one of the purposes of his visit tonight was to see how Professor Snape knocked Professor Lockhart flying!

"No, you mean......" Edward's words turned into a groan, and he saw Professor Gilderoy Lockhart walk onto the stage, dressed in a fuchsia robe, shining brightly.

There were two professors standing beside him, one was Professor Snape, dressed in his usual black clothes. The other one was none other than Professor Flitwick as Edward had guessed before!

"What a big deal, three professors are here!" Edward was so excited that he almost couldn't hold his wand.

Alan looked over and met Professor Flitwick's gaze. Professor Flitwick smiled fatherly at Ellen, and Alan instantly understood that the reason why Professor Flitwick was here must be to give him more practical opportunities.

Colin Creevey of Gryffindor held up his camera and slammed the three professors.

Professor Lockhart showed his snow-white teeth and trademark handsome smile and turned in Colin's direction. As a competent wizarding star, he doesn't miss an opportunity to promote himself.

Professor Snape's face was grim, and Professor Flitwick rubbed his wand, unconcerned about Colin's actions and would not look at Colin's camera.

Professor Lockhart waved everyone to silence, and then shouted, "Come around, come around, can everyone see me, can they hear me? Great!"

Professor Flitwick quietly gave Professor Lockhart a "loud voice. "Alan felt from the bottom of his heart that his dean was really a good person!

"That's right, Professor Dumbledore has allowed me to start this little dueling club and train you enough to defend yourself in the way I have used countless times in case you need to defend yourself one day—see my published work for more on this. Professor Lockhart misses no chance to promote his books.

"But we've already bought all of his books!" added Edward in a whisper.

"First of all, let us welcome Professor Flitwick with a round of applause, who, as a former dueling champion, is willing to serve as an advisor to the dueling club. I'm pretty good at duels myself, but Professor Flitwick is definitely something you can't miss!"

Professor Lockhart's rare humility surprised the Ravenclaws!

"He must have heard the title of Dean's Duel Champion and was terrified!" Edward's words were scorching, and Alan very much agreed with his analysis!

"Now, allow me to introduce my assistant, Professor Snape," said Lockhart, grinning widely, "and he told me that he knew a thing or two about dueling, and he generously agreed to help me give me a little demonstration before class. I mean, I don't want you little ones to worry - I'll give you back your potions teacher intact when I'm done demonstrating to him, don't be afraid!"

Professor Snape's upper lip curled, and Alan and Edward couldn't help but glance at each other, and they began to mourn for Professor Lockhart, who was familiar with Professor Snape's expression!
