Chapter 31: The Harvest

Regner ran as fast as he could, the contents of Velles' notes constantly coming to his mind. He repeatedly thought about how to deal with the situation in front of him, even in the face of the pursuit of the three orcs, Regner did not have a trace of panic in his heart now, he thought calmly like a machine.

Perhaps because of his thin size, Regner was very nimble in the complex forest, a contrast to the clumsy and tall orc.

If Regner had been running away at this time, it would have been very likely that he would have gotten rid of all the orcs so easily, but Regner didn't want to escape, the scene of Selenos' tragic death lingered in his mind, and he thought that only by killing all the orcs here could he feel better. And after some consideration, Regna was convinced that he could do it.

After making sure that he had thrown some distance from the orc, Ragner took out the climbing hook from his lower back, he threw it twice, the hook clasped to the trunk of the tree, Regner pulled the rope, and slowly climbed up the tree.

The trees creaked under the pull of the hook claws, but they didn't break, because Regner weighed less than a hundred pounds now, and if he was replaced by Cordak, who weighed more than two hundred pounds, to climb, not to mention whether the trees could hold up, the rope would probably be broken by Korda.

Regner crouched lightly on a branch, the darkest hour of the night had arrived, and at such times, even a human's field of vision would be limited to about fifteen meters. Regner, on the other hand, was aware of the slightest movement around him, and the feeling of knowing the whole scene made him comfortable, but he didn't have the heart to enjoy it, and he didn't have time to wonder when he had acquired this ability, because the three orcs had already roared and rushed over.

"Are you afraid I won't find you?" Regnar felt a little disdain for the orc's approach, and he touched the flaming blade on his waist, even the glow of the fireflies would be quite noticeable in the darkest of hours.

So Regner deliberately took the scabbard with him when he picked up the Flaming Blade, otherwise it would be equivalent to carrying a location tracker.

An orc vigilantly searched around, with the two brothers around him within his field of vision, so that whoever found out about the situation could rush to help, which was a temporary countermeasure negotiated by the orcs with limited brains.

Regner waited quietly, and when the orc came to his feet, he didn't hesitate to throw a throwing knife in the other direction.

The knife clanged against the rocks, and the faint sound was as noticeable as thunder in the dark and quiet forest, and the three orcs turned vigilantly for a moment to look at the source of the sound, which made the orcs under the tree a blind spot for the other two orcs.

And Regner was waiting for this momentary opportunity, and at the moment when the three orcs turned their heads, Regner jumped from the tree without hesitation.

Ragnar landed on the orc's shoulder, and the emaciated figure looked like a monkey sitting on the monkey man's shoulder.

But the monkey was far less dangerous than Regner, who drew the flaming blade as he fell, and when he stood on the orc's shoulder, he covered the orc's mouth with his left hand, and wielded the blade with his right hand to wipe the orc's throat.

The sound of blood splattering caught the attention of the other two orcs, and they looked back to see that one of their brothers, who had little left, had slowly fallen again. Behind him, a thin figure made a backflip, landing silently, and disappearing into the darkness in the blink of an eye.

Hiding in the bushes, Regner watched coldly as the two orcs rushed at him wielding inferior weapons, and they muttered something to their fallen companions, looking sad and angry.

"Angry? We're all the same. Regner thought silently, but his heart grew colder, for it was all caused by these orcs, and now they had to pay for their actions.

Regner moved silently through the forest, and after finding a suitable position, Regner pulled out a normal fine iron dagger and plunged it into the trunk of the tree.

The sound of steel and trees colliding quickly caught the orc's attention, and Regner did not panic, he raised his arm and threw the flaming blade like a throwing knife at the opposite tree trunk with all his might.

The Flaming Blade is a magically blessed high-end weapon, and its high-speed flying blade sinks straight into the trunk of the tree, leaving only a short hilt.

The orcs roared again and rushed over, and Regner fled behind him again after making this inexplicable move.

The two orcs ran fast one after the other, they really hated this coward who did not dare to fight them head-on, his way of fighting was insidious and cowardly, but several of his companions died at his hands, and even the strongest captain of their squad was inexplicably killed by this hateful little thing, which aroused the anger of the orcs even more.

They rushed over with a scream, vowing to tear this abominable human to pieces if they caught him. To their excitement, the cowardly little fellow seemed to realize how shameful his actions were, and he actually stopped and stood not far away watching his arrival with cold eyes.

The orc accelerated and ran wildly again, for fear that the little guy would change his mind and suddenly run away, but a strange scene happened, the orc running in front suddenly made a strange sound, which sounded like the sound of a blade slashing into the flesh, this sound made the orc behind him play a clever one, and he subconsciously filled his footsteps.

This action bought him a few more minutes of life, because he saw the orc in front of him suddenly fall as he ran, and the huge head was completely separated from his body as it fell, and its bones rolled to the side.

The bloody and strange scene made the orc stop his steps suddenly, and then he found that less than half a meter in front of him, a wire as thin as a hair hung straight in the air, and a small piece of red sticky blood was still sticking to it, dripping on the ground.

It turned out that Regner had just made a rudimentary trap, tying a Mithril wire to the handles of the steel dagger and the flaming blade.

Ragnar first stuck the blunt steel dagger firmly into the trunk of the tree, and then thrust the sharp flaming dagger into the other trunk with all his might, so that between the two trees hung a thread of mythril sharper than the blade, and Ragner insidiously chose a height about the same height as the soft throat of the orcs.

Therefore, the orc who charged at high speed crashed into Regner's trap in such a daze, and his neck was cut off by the Mithril thread.

Watching his companions fall one after another, even the arrogant and brave orc warriors felt a sense of fear for the half-grown boy in front of them.

But under the influence of orc culture for many years, he no longer had the concept of running away in his mind, so he let out a roar, and the short body crossed the Mithril thread and rushed fearlessly again.

Regner also gave up on the trick of plotting a sneak attack, he took a deep breath, and then drew his long sword.

"Ah!!h

In the blink of an eye, Regner was entangled with the orcs, and the tips for the body moves recorded in Vellais's notes came to Regna's mind over and over again.

His body performs any movement in his mind like the most sophisticated machine, and Regner perfectly controls his hands, his feet, his body, and even his breathing!

But this orc is also a battle-hardened warrior, although his IQ is not high, but the experience of the old way has made him see the gap between himself and this human in terms of physical fitness, this thin human is impossible to withstand even a hammer from him.

So the orc put on a desperate posture at the first time, and he didn't hesitate to hit Regner even if he was injured. Under the pressure of this fierce attack, even though Regner was agile, he gradually became passive in front of the violent orcs.

Seeing that his range of motion was getting smaller and smaller by the orcs, Regner did not panic in the slightest, he jumped backwards, and at the same time threw his sword out to stop the orcs' approach, and then he pulled out the last dagger stuck in his boot.

When Regner landed, a powerful force erupted from his ankle, and Regner showed amazing speed in an instant, and the orc felt that Regner had come to him in the blink of an eye, and he was ready to block in horror, but before his hand could be raised, Regner's dagger slashed through his throat first.

Blood spurted from the cracks in his throat, and the orc reluctantly turned his head to look at Regner, and finally fell to the ground.

After finishing out the last orc, Regner sat down on the ground as if he had collapsed. His pupils returned to blue-black once more, and he looked at everything around him with some surprise. He couldn't believe what was happening in front of him, but the memory clearly told him that he had done it all on his own, and he clearly remembered how calm he was in the face of the orcs, he controlled his body perfectly, calculated the situation of the battle, and then almost ruthlessly eliminated all the enemies.

Shouldn't he be scared when he sees an orc? Regner looked at the little blood on his hand, and a feeling of fatigue instantly welled up, and his eyes went dark, and he fainted.
