Chapter 122 Phase II Project

Making two strategic investments in a short period of time has naturally triggered stock price fluctuations in the stock market. The funny thing is that the two major projects are happy and sad, and in the end, the accounting found that the stock price fluctuated up and down, and the market value was still the same as before.

Although the Nasdaq bubble has just burst, the Internet economy is still strong, but all projects related to the Internet will be sought after by investors.

Although it is only an announcement to invest in Alibaba Group, in order to develop the next generation of on-board intelligent operating system, consumers still regard it as an Internet concept hype, which has caused the stock to come up with two price limits in a row.

However, then Zhonghua Group announced a plan to form HiSilicon with Huawei to develop chips, which was not favored by the market. The core technology of chips has been monopolized by foreign countries, especially many people believe that HiSilicon will compete with Intel in the future, so everyone thinks it is a bad move.

Although Zhonghua Group and Huawei are both leaders in their respective fields in China, consumers are not optimistic about investment in the chip market in the context of state-backed Loongson manufacturing but cannot be commercialized. As a result, the stock price began to fall again, and investors who had previously made profits ran away when they saw this, causing the stock price to fluctuate downward again.

"We're fighting for the next 10 years, and it's hard to catch up with the guys in front of us in the current arena. But in the next race, everyone started to start the same starting line again, and it is difficult to say who will die, at least I am confident that the China Group can remain in the first group. ”

2008 will be the time for Zhonghua Group to make efforts, and the next 10 years will be the harvest period for laying investment. In the future, automobiles will develop towards lightweight, new energy, intelligence and Internet, but traditional car manufacturers are still waiting, which gives Zhonghua Group the opportunity to overtake.

Han Hao knew this, and he had to start warming up for the next game now.

However, in addition to these strategic investments, Zhonghua Group has also made tactical investments. Two foreign technical experts in charge of the field of safety collision recruited from Volkswagen in Europe at a high price have arrived at the headquarters in Jiangzhou. Their mission is to assist in the improvement of Chung Wah Group's products to comply with the European Crash Standard (E-NCAP).

Before China's collision standards came out, Europe's standards became the preferred target of the Chunghwa Group. First, because Chunghwa Group will export cars to Europe in the future, it must obtain EU certification. Second, the European collision standard has high requirements and is more authoritative, applicable to many countries, and consumers are more recognized.

At the Geneva Motor Show before, there were European dealers who came to seek cooperation, but Han Hao did not plan to enter the European market too quickly before preparing for the collision.

It is expected that next year's facelift will be in response to the E-NCAP system. It's like the final exam, you always have to give candidates time to review, and you can't just run to the exam as soon as your brain is hot. In the age of the Internet, bad things spread all over the world every day, and rash participation in collisions will cause a lot of unnecessary trouble.

"Our goal is the European five-star standard, and we can improve the projects they ask for. If you want to really go abroad, you must accept the strict threshold requirements of the other party. ”

Han Hao knows that as long as he gets an excellent answer sheet in E-NCAP, it is equivalent to getting a general stepping stone, which can knock on the doors of many countries.

E-NCAP adopts a points-based system, and five vehicles will be selected from a batch of production vehicles for testing on the premise that the manufacturer actively applies for it, and the results will be announced 45 days later. Only through E-NCAP certification will European consumers buy with confidence.

Two technical experts who jumped from Volkswagen of Germany came to Jiangzhou for on-the-spot inspections before agreeing to the invitation of Zhonghua Group. After all, if you come to China for a year, you can experience a new working atmosphere in Germany for five years.

"We've seen your mass-produced sedan 'Qin', which is very good, but we still have to make some smart responses in response to the E-NCAP assessment. For example, the seatbelt reminder function will get you more points than if you have two more airbags. ”

As an expert on European crash standards, Pudru said when he saw that the "Qin's" passenger seat belt did not have a reminder function.

Their job is to compare the E-NCAP standards one by one, and then assist the Chunghwa Group to re-improve the models to meet the European crash requirements.

"That's exactly why we need you, your students are smart and just need an experienced teacher to teach. ”

Han Hao said to the two foreign experts with a smile.

If you want to talk about exam-oriented education, the Chinese say second, and it is estimated that no one in other countries dares to recognize the first. Therefore, Han Hao is very confident in next year's E-NCAP collision.

With the completion of the second phase of the China Automotive Research Institute, a new collision laboratory will also be announced. At that time, Zhonghua Group will become the second domestic enterprise to have its own collision laboratory after SAIC.

With a total investment of more than 200 million, a full set of imported equipment, and more advanced hardware conditions than the National Collision Laboratory, there are more items that can be tested. Frontal impacts, side impacts, rear impacts, fixed barriers, moving barriers, and even small-angle offset tests can be performed here.

"To be honest, the existence of this first-class laboratory is one of the reasons why I agreed to come to China. The thought of a car being crash tested in such a remarkable lab every day makes me feel my adrenaline pumping.

The moment the vehicle collided, it was the most beautiful sound I've ever heard in my life!"

So says Pudrew, a technologist.

As so many models of Zhonghua Group, there will definitely be no fewer crash tests in the future, and once a day is already a conservative estimate.

In addition to the crash laboratory, there is also a simulation slide laboratory, a safety components laboratory, a pedestrian protection laboratory, a body structure laboratory, and an active safety laboratory. Together, they form the automotive safety laboratory of the China Automotive Research Institute, which will carry out strict safety control of new models.

In the second phase of the project, there are more important laboratories to be invested and built one by one. A significant portion of the money raised from the stock market is spent on them.

One of the most striking is that the wind tunnel laboratory with an investment of up to 400 million yuan will be built, which is the first automobile wind tunnel laboratory in China, which will be built in full accordance with the 1-to-1 plan, and can accept the actual vehicle for wind tunnel experiments.

The automobile wind tunnel experiment is to simulate various driving environments, find the most fuel-efficient, safest and most beautiful appearance for the car in the design, and seek the safest and most durable performance for the parts.

Before the third generation of "Qin" was launched, it went to the laboratory in Europe to conduct wind tunnel experiments, 500 hours of testing, and the fee was 3,000 euros per hour. After a trip to Europe, plus freight and travel expenses, there is no 20 million yuan that can't get down, and you have to look at other people's faces to arrange experiments. If it weren't for the wind tunnel, "Qin" could have been launched 2 months ahead of schedule.

According to the rule that a country needs to build a wind tunnel when it produces 50-1 million cars, China has lagged far behind, with more than 4 million cars produced in 2003.

With the speed at which Zhonghua Group continues to launch new models, if it has been counting on the wind tunnel in Europe, it will not only be a time cost, but also a capital cost, which is a big amount. Since there are so many requirements, just grit your teeth and get started, anyway, sooner or later, China's auto industry needs a wind tunnel laboratory.

In addition to the wind tunnel laboratory, there will also be a heavyweight laboratory dedicated to the development of electronic devices.

Nowadays, there are more and more electronic devices in automobiles, such as audio navigation system, lighting, reversing radar, automatic cruise control, ABS, ESP and other equipment. So many devices are concentrated in a small car body, and all of them are emitting electromagnetic waves of different frequencies. Let these electronic devices live in peace without interfering with each other, which is why electromagnetic compatibility is studied.

At present, the traditional internal combustion engine vehicles do not have high electromagnetic requirements, and in the future, electric vehicles and intelligent Internet cars in Han Hao's mind will have exponential requirements for electromagnetic safety. In addition to the fact that the on-board electronics cannot interact with each other, it is also necessary to consider the impact on occupants, pedestrians, and the surrounding environment.

A car that can be connected to the Internet at all times has extremely high requirements for wireless signals and electromagnetic interference. What's more, if the battery is used, it is even more necessary to deal with the issue of electromagnetic compatibility.

Since then, Zhonghua Group has built the most advanced automotive R&D hardware system in China, and has completed the preparation of four basic laboratories recognized by the industry: test site, collision safety, wind tunnel, and electromagnetic compatibility.

In addition to them, the institute has also set up an NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) laboratory where vehicles are analyzed for interior and exterior noise, such as exhaust noise analysis and optimization, vibration transmission path analysis, powertrain noise analysis, etc. To put it simply, all the tactile and auditory sensations that the occupants feel in a car fall under the umbrella of NVH research.

NVH can improve the comfort of the vehicle, the most direct perception is silence, as soon as you close the door, you can feel that the inside and outside of the car are two worlds, this is the direction of NVH's establishment.

Many people will say that this car really has a sense of luxury, and in addition to the visible luxury interior, the car feel caused by NVH is also a very important reason.

After pursuing hard components such as engine, transmission and chassis, Zhonghua Group began to focus on the research and development of soft components.

Because the car is not only a tool, but also a comfortable travel companion.

Only by pursuing soft components will we stand out in the homogeneous competition, obtain a higher premium, and achieve the purpose of brand promotion.

In short, it is the previous pursuit of Zhonghua Group to make cars drive and catch up with the speed of foreign brands. From now on, it is necessary to make the car not only driving, but also to make people feel comfortable, among the many brands to choose from, fall in love with the cars of Zhonghua Group.

In this way, we will change the impression that domestic cars are cheap and low-quality in the minds of the majority of Chinese people, and truly achieve the goal of ultra-high cost performance of domestic cars.
