Chapter 537: Camping
"Let's stay here for now. Looking at Daphne and Astoria's current state, Jon made a decisive decision.
Although they have escaped from the strange cave they had before, they are still in a completely unfamiliar territory...... They could be in Greece, or they could be in Albania, or maybe even Italy......
There weren't any familiar locations around, so they couldn't leave with a Transfiguration Charm, and they didn't have anything like broomsticks or magic carpets with them, they needed to at least walk into the woods and find a Muggle town.
After more than two hours of "traveling" in the caverns, Daphne and Astoria were very tired, and Harry Potter was not much better.
Jon was still able to stand and observe his surroundings. The woods didn't seem like a peaceful place, but at least they were much better than they had been in the cave.
"Is it right here?" Daphne glanced worriedly at the dark depths of the jungle.
"Let's just do it...... If we want to survive in this wild environment, we need to take some protective measures and cast some protective magic around us. β
Jon responded, picking up his wand and starting to walk around Astoria and Daphne, making a large circle and muttering.
A few of them could only see some chaotic air currents moving through the air: it seemed as if Jon had created wave after wave of heat in the clearing around them.
"Salvio Hexia!"
"Protego Totalum!"
"Repello Beasttum!"
"Muffliato!"
The space within a radius of ten yards seemed to be completely isolated from the outside world...... The use of these protective spells can at least ensure that they will not be disturbed by the surrounding creatures while they are resting.
Jon then used his wand to tap Astoria's and Daphne's backpacks, and cast the Flying Charm on the tent inside...... Two large balls of canvas, squeezed into oddly shaped, emerged from their large bulging backpacks, including some ropes and poles......
"Good thing you're well prepared for this trip, Jon ......" Harry Potter's face was quietly relieved.
"We were meant to travel. Jon said honestly, as he began to wave his wand in a more complicated motion, pointing at the two clumps of canvas, causing them to rise into the air in a stream of air and land in the clearing around Harry, and then many nails flew out of Daphne and Astoria's backpacks, slamming into the ropes and poles before settling to the ground.
"At least we can rest here for a while. After ordering the two tents on the ground and setting them in place, Jon finally lowered his wand.
......
There were only two tents, naturally two men living in one and two women living together.
Jon bent down and slipped in under the curtain of the tent on the left...... The space inside was more spacious than he expected, as if he had walked into an old-fashioned three-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and bathroom.
Placing all his belongings in the tent, Jon sat down to catch his breath.
I have to say that the consumption of this night is a little bigger.
Fortunately, the most dangerous moment had passed, the tents had been set up, and the three of them had enough food in their backpacks to feed at least four people for a week.
After a short rest, Jon stepped out of the tent again.
"We need to get some water, then something to eat and a few more hours of rest. Jon said calmly, "We were all too tired last night. β
The two girls were now putting their bags back into the tent.
"I'll leave the fetching of water to me!" Harry Potter volunteered. Without a wand, he seemed to be able to do this kind of Muggle "work" at this time.
As he spoke, he picked up the large bucket by the tent and trotted towards the river next to the camp.
"Okay, excuse me, Harry. Jon nodded, and went back to the girls' tent to check it out.
Astoria and Daphne's tent was slightly smaller than his, and both girls were already sitting on their beds.
"Are you alright?" Jon asked softly.
"It's okay, it's just a little tired...... Astoria said with a smile, "It's fun to think it's part of the trip." β
"Jon......" Daphne's attitude was not as optimistic as Astoria's, "When will we be able to leave this hellish place?"
"Alright, almost!" Jon reassured her with a smile.
Harry quickly returned with a bucket of water from the river next to the camp.
Daphne pulled out the kettle and large cups, then walked to the kitchen in their tent and made everyone a hot cup of tea.
And Astoria also went to the kitchen, she prepared a little toast and bacon,
At least the breakfast thing, settled.
Maybe everyone was tired all night and very hungry, but they all ate this simple breakfast.
After breakfast, Jon told everyone to go back to their tents to rest...... It was half past five in the morning, and it had been almost twenty-four hours since they had last closed their eyes.
Jon's plan was to rest until noon and then survey the surroundings while considering whether to find the surrounding Muggle towns or wait for help.
The rest of the people, who were exhausted, naturally had no opinions.
......
Although the Simmons bed in the tent was not as comfortable as it was at home or in the Slytherin common room, Astoria Greengrass slept soundly.
A few of them seemed to be lost, seemingly in a completely unfamiliar place, but Astoria was not worried or scared at all...... With Jon and his sister by their side, they're sure they'll be able to solve all the problems!
Suddenly, Astoria felt someone gently patting him on the face.
In her sleep, she opened her eyes, and then saw Daphne's somewhat panicked face.
Astoria was about to speak, but when she saw Daphne make a "shhhh
Pricking up her ears, she faintly heard sounds around the tent!
More precisely, it was Jon who had set up a protective spell outside of the spell, and a voice was heardβ
Heavy footsteps, the sound of stones and branches being kicked off, and judging by the footsteps, there may have been several people walking towards the river.
"Is it around here?" said a gruff male voice.
"That's right, I saw the mark. Another tired male voice responded.
