The hometown wants to build a new house, and the original plan was to tear down the old house and build a new one on the original site, but some people are reluctant to build the house when their parents got married, and it was earned by my grandfather for half his life. So in the end, I chose a new site and built a two-story building on the homestead next to the old house.

The old house was a brick structure, but it was only beautiful on the outside, and it was still a civil structure on the inside. We lived in the old house for fifteen or sixteen years, and we lived with affection. The old house is in the local style, the gate is two small rooms on the left and right, one of them is used as a granary, one as a kitchen, then the east wing, then a small alley, and then there is the hall, there is a bedroom on each side, and a small courtyard, in the middle is a red paved path, there is a pressure well on the west side, and a small garden.

The earthen house is warm in winter and cool in summer, and it is very comfortable to live in, but because of the age, the earthen house is always leaking, so the family is particularly reluctant to have rainy days, rainy days, it is really heavy rain outside, light rain in the house, and pots and pots everywhere are used to catch the leaking water. But one thing is good, when it rains, the family will make good food, because on rainy days, my mother doesn't have so many things to do, and I have to think about how to eat when I am free, so the family will be blessed.

The old house is not only my family lived, it also attracted little swallows, nested on the beams of the house, and reproduced, so I have seen little swallows learn to fly, quite cruel things, not much worse than eagles, there are stupid young birds will also be thrown to death, I once sadly buried a poor young bird. But you can't always take it in the nest built by your parents for the rest of your life, shouting hungry with your mouth open, you must always learn to grow up and learn to live. The little swallows are coming and going back and forth, accompanying the old house through spring and summer.

In addition to small swallows, there are rats, cangsaurus (house snakes), weasels, all kinds of small animals, small insects, and earthen houses are also their home, a place for them to shelter from the wind and rain.

When I was a child, I was not allowed to enter the kitchen, for fear that the fire would burn, the boiling water would be scalding, the hot oil would splash, and the smoke would arrive. But as I got older, I began to go to the kitchen more often, the earthen pot and the earthen stove, cooking on the fire, and the smoke curling, of course, it was seen from the outside, and it was not so comfortable in the house. If you want to say that it is comfortable, you have to wait until autumn and winter, the kitchen is always warm, mixed with the aroma of food, and the moment you open the pot, the steam mixed with the smell of food comes to your face, and you can't help but drool.

As for the little garden, there was not much to see, but there were several kinds of flowers that bloomed in the same way, including sunflowers picked up from school, moon flowers, cockscombs, * flowers, and other flowers that could not be named. I remember that later it was changed to a duck pen, and I raised some ducklings, which kept calling every day, and for a while it was also used to raise rabbits and chickens.

Talking about some old houses, always talk about the new house, the new house was built by my mother, a two-story building, reinforced concrete structure, cold in winter and hot in summer, the places where we live are also separated, we live upstairs, and my parents live downstairs. It's a bit of a distance, and the private space is already too private, and it has become a lonely space. The new house can't accommodate other small animals, let alone cooking smoke, and household appliances are generally open, so there is always less smell.

When we grow up, we can't go back, so we can take comfort.
