Chapter 141: The Empty Office (Part 1)

At 6:55 p.m., Jon Hart was at the door of Professor Dumbledore's office again.

It was already the third Sunday after Halloween and his third "confinement" in the principal's office.

The familiar ugly stone monster was still lying at the door of the office, snoring and sleeping.

"Hello...... Milk toffee!" Jon called out.

"The password has been changed, it's 'lemon lollipop'!" the stone monster said with a yawn.

"Oh, okay...... Lemon lollipop ......" Jon nodded.

The stone monster got out of the way, waited for Jon to walk over, and then fell asleep again.

Standing on the escalator's staircase, Jon pondered what he needed to do with this confinement.

In the first confinement, Dumbledore took Jon to reminisce about the first time he met Nick Lemay and followed Lemay to discover the lair of a Ukrainian iron-bellied dragon, and in the second confinement, last Sunday, Dumbledore brought out a memory of his old friend Newt Scamander in 1927, when Mr. Scamander traveled to Paris to complete Dumbledore's mission and encountered a mysterious circus called the 'Museum of the Geeks......

So what about this time?

Inquisitive, Jon pushed open the door to the Oval Office.

......

It's so noisy inside that it's like coming to a vegetable market.

The voice came from the wall covered with the headmaster's portrait.

The top one shows two headmasters fighting around with their wands as if they were dueling, the one on the far right shows a bald male headmaster singing with a chilling soul-piercing voice, and the four headmasters are chattering around in a bridge game on the bottom floor......

For a moment, Jon even wondered if he had gone to the wrong door.

"Oh ha, our great, Hogwarts warriors are here!" a shrill sarcastic voice came from Jon's left and right.

Jon turned his head to see Headmaster Phineas Black, looking at him gloatingly.

"Hello, Headmaster Black!" Jon bowed to him with a slight bend.

"Next Tuesday is the first project, may Merlin bless you stinky boy and don't get bullied too badly by that big guy!" Phineas Black smirked.

"May I ask, where is Professor Dumbledore?" Jon asked softly.

"Albus went to Kampala!" the silver-haired witch scurried over and kicked Phineas Black aside, "Gone to an important meeting of the International Confederation of Magicians, and he won't be back tonight!"

"Hello, Headmaster Derwent!" Jon bowed to her as well.

Silver-haired witch Daris Devonte also waved her wand to the sky as a return salute.

"Shouldn't I go back then, and come back another day?" asked Jon tentatively.

"Of course, let's go...... Don't bother......" Phineas Black cried out as he got up.

"Shut up!" Headmaster Derwent glared at him coldly, then turned back to Jon and said with a pleasant face, "Of course you can choose to leave, but you can also stay and have fun, it's rare that Albus is not in the office, and we have time to party!"

"Carnival ......" Jon pouted as he glanced at the headmasters on the wall who were dueling, making noise, and playing bridge, "Sure enough!"

He took a few steps inside and saw the bright red phoenix resting on the perch.

"Fawkes?" Jon greeted softly.

Phoenix Fawkes raised its head slightly, nodded at Jon, and then glanced at the wall covered with portraits with some disgust.

Jon continued to wander around Dumbledore's office, observing the silverware and other magical items.

But he didn't touch anything that was very interesting.

When he came to the meditation basin, Phineas Black's familiar voice suddenly sounded from one side:

"The Headmaster's books are hidden in the bookcase under that stupid bird!" said Phineas Black haughtily, "You have nothing to do, you can go through them!"

"Can you flip through it?" asked Jon in surprise.

"Albus is not the kind of stingy person!" Phineas Black gave him a blank look, "Besides, he is not the only one hiding the books in there!"

"Thank you!" Jon said in gratitude.

......

Jon slowly approached the bookcase beneath Fawkes.

As he reached the bookcase, the phoenix let out a screech of displeasure, glared at him viciously, and flew to another perch, continuing to close his eyes.

Jon breathed a sigh of relief and gently opened the bookcase.

The space inside was much larger than Jon had imagined, with at least a few hundred books, arranged on various shelves.

Jon picked up the most conspicuous one at random, and when he saw it, the title of the book was "Traps and Locks, A Guide to Lockpicking" - Jon was stunned for a moment, what the hell, could it be that some headmaster was a thief in his previous life at Hogwarts.

Throwing the previous book away, Jon picked up another copy of the Ancient Runewen Phonetic Transcription Annotations, flipped through two pages casually, and was even more confused, Jon was only in the most rudimentary stages of learning about Rune, and could not understand the content of this in-depth study.

He picked up a third, a strange book with a brown and black leather face......

At the first glance of the title of the book, Jon was stunned - "Cutting-edge Dark Arts Revealed".

"Isn't this fishing......" Jon thought to himself.

At the same time, he secretly glanced around, the principals were still playing bridge, dueling were still dueling, only the soul singer seemed to be tired of singing, or was gagged by people who couldn't stand it, and couldn't sing anymore.

No one pays attention to themselves.

Jon thought it would be better to be on the safe side.

Instead of opening the book "Cutting-edge Dark Arts Revealed", he took it to Principal Dalis Devonte.

"Principal Derwent. Jon faked a panicked expression, "There's a book about the dark arts here!"

"What's wrong with the Dark Arts?" Daris Devonte glanced at him lazily, "If you want to deal with the Dark Arts, you must first understand it, otherwise what are you going to do with it......"

"Yes!" Phineas Black also leaned in, "The strength does not depend on itself, but on its master!"

"For example, some witches, who never use dark magic, are even more feared than the most vicious dark wizards......" he couldn't help adding.

"I think you're alluding to something, Black?" Dalyse Devonte turned her head.

"I didn't say anything, Dresses......" Phineas Black spried onto another portrait.

"Stop!"

The two headmasters chased after each other, escaping Jon's sight.

Jon glanced at them with a little crying and laughter, and then at the brown black book in his hand.

"Since that's all ......"

He gently opened the "Secret of Cutting-edge Black Magic" in his hand.

Sure enough, it's cutting-edge black magic, Jon flipped the pages -

He saw nine ways to make a corpse, how to use the Mind Drill Charm to make your target the most painful, and several ways to avoid attacks when raising a basilisk......

Jon didn't even dare to look further, just glanced at it cursoryly and turned to the next page.

And also...... Jon couldn't help but frown:

"Chapter 11, How to Make Horcruxes and How to Use Themes!"
