Chapter 202: The Old Dumbledore (Part 1)

In London's East End, in a small inn, in a room facing the sun.

A boy lies on the bed while looking at a letter in his hand in front of a dictionary.

The boy looked to be fourteen or fifteen years old, with crisp short dark brown hair and gray eyes, and the expression on his face showed a maturity that did not belong to his age.

The layout of the whole cottage looks a little weird:

On the table next to the bed, on one side were many bottles and jars, and a cauldron with a slight black smoke, and on the other side, there were several heavy books with two small wooden sticks pressed on them—

One is black and gray, and the other is green, like two chopsticks.

Not far from the little green stick, an iron ring had been left there, and near the ring was a silver bauble in the shape of an octahedron.

On the opened envelope was a coat of arms with a capital H on it, surrounded by the heads of four animals, a snake, a badger, an eagle and a lion, and the boy's name underneath:

Christopher Patrick.

......

For Jon Hart, this is not the first time he has heard from Hogwarts.

However, since the letter was written in German, it was the first thing in my life......

The intimate Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, considering that this "exchange student" is from Austria, specially wrote a letter in German, informing him of the precautions for going to the school and the things he needs to bring......

Poor Jon had to buy a German dictionary from the small bookstore, and guessed the contents of the letter as he looked through the dictionary.

It took him more than half a day to finally understand what was written inside:

First of all, Deputy Headmaster Minerva McGonagall welcomes Mr. Christopher Patrick to Hogwarts on her own behalf, and informs him of what he will need to bring with him for the first time as a new student, such as brass scales, crucibles, pointed wizard hats, etc.

Also attached is a bibliography of this semester's textbooks, with only two new books compared to the previous semester: Standard Spells, Level 4 by Miranda Goshawk, and The Theory of Magical Defence, by Wilbert Slinka.

But for Jon, he needed to go to Diagon Alley again to buy all the books and other things.

Because the original ones were left at Hogwarts and became Jon Hart's "relics".

Fortunately, he is now in London, not far from Diagon Alley.

Some regretted wasting so much time on the letter, which contained nothing useful, and Jon tossed it to the table with the envelope on the side.

At the same time, he picked up the Daily Prophet that an owl postman had just sent to him.

......

The front page of the Daily Prophet read: "Mr. Gideon Krumb announces that he will marry at the end of the month. ”

Gideon Cram is a bagpiper with the band "Weird Sisters", a well-known wizarding star. The headline article spends most of the day analysing who Gidion Clum's bride is and which famous wizards he will be inviting to his wedding at the end of the month......

Jon patiently read through the headline article, but unfortunately didn't find any useful information.

After complaining about the Diaotheticist's reversal of the Sun's development, Jon opened a second edition.

The second edition presents the state visit of the Minister of Magic, Mr. Cornelius Fudge, to Andorra, with a photo of Fudge and the Minister of Magic of Andorra. And the editor pointed out that this event marks a new milestone in the magical partnership between Britain and Andorra.

Glancing to skip the news, Jon looked at the third page of the paper.

The title instantly captivated Jon: "Old Foolish Albus Dumbledore!"

"At noon on July 14, GMT, the International Confederation of Wizards voted to strip Mr. Albus Dumbledore of his position as President, the second important position he lost after losing his position as Chief Wizard of the Wizengamot on July 9. ”

"The attendees revealed that Albus Dumbledore was too old and incapable of holding these positions. Since the Triwizard Tournament ended more than half a month ago, Dumbledore has indeed looked old, most likely because of the sudden death of his protégé Jon Hart during the Triwizard Tournament, which caused him to suffer too much......

“...... The Order of Merlin is also considering whether to take back Albus Dumbledore's Order of the First Degree...... However, it was severely opposed by many wizards of the older generation, and the proposal is still mired in controversy......"

"It's finally here!" Jon put down the newspaper in his hand.

Obviously, Dumbledore was not old and confused, and he would not be hit by his death.

There was only one answer, and that was for Dumbledore to make a speech announcing Voldemort's return, after which the wizards of the Ministry of Magic voted for him to step down.

It seems that Cornelius Fudge still has a lot of ability and influence, which is understandable, after all, he has controlled the British Ministry of Magic for so many years, and it is strange if he can't do anything.

In contrast, Dumbledore, an old man in his hundreds, has been indifferent to the world for many years, and his influence is significantly less than that of Fudge and the Ministry of Magic.

Of course, with what Jon knew about Dumbledore, he certainly didn't care about these superficial honors...... As far as Dumbledore was concerned, as long as he didn't get him off the chocolate frog picture, he didn't care about anything else.

At the same time, it is not ruled out that Dumbledore borrowed Fudge's hand and deliberately showed weakness to Voldemort.

Jon turned his attention to the fourth page of the newspaper.

......

The fourth edition is about the Ministry of Magic's most wanted criminal, Siris Black.

It reads as follows: "According to Mr. Kingsley Shackle, deputy director of the Auror Office, the brutal and cunning wanted man Siris Black has appeared in Tibet and seems to have reached some kind of agreement with the Tibetan snowmen...... Officials from the Department of International Magical Cooperation are trying to contact the Chinese Ministry of Magic to request help from the Chinese Ministry of Magic to extradite the wanted ......"

Jon couldn't help but smile...... Finally, he turned his gaze to the fifth edition:

The title of the fifth edition is equally attractive:

"The infamous boy Harry Potter, is he a narcissist, a paranoia, or a murderer?"
