Since the Qing Dynasty alone, the academy has cultivated more than 17,000 students, including Tao Shu, Wei Yuan, Zeng Guofan, Zuo Zongtang, Guo Songtao, Tang Caichang, Shen Xin, Yang Changji, Cheng Qian, etc., which one is not a first-class outstanding figure?

The spiritual coordinates and value system of Yuelu Academy were greatly influenced by Zhou Dunyi, a native of southern Hunan in the Tang Dynasty. The so-called Wudao came from the south, which was originally the main vein of Lianxi, and the great river went east, which was nothing more than the aftermath of the Xiangjiang River.

All this is due to Confucianism, and the later generations of Confucian disciples are not just those rotten Confucians who are firm in their own prejudices, but more enduring righteousness, just as the existence of Yuelu Academy can destroy the foundation of the academy, but the righteousness in the hearts of the people is immortal, and Zhu Xi and others are among the alternatives.

It is a smart approach to maintain relative academic independence while actively seeking official recognition and encouragement. Emperor Zhenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty summoned the mountain chief Zhou Shi, awarded the book and gave the amount, the name of the academy began to be heard in the world, there was the reputation of Xiaoxiang Zhusi, the bishop of the Southern Song Dynasty Zhang Shi, Zhu Xi lectured twice. Even if you are admitted to university, get a master's degree or doctorate, or even a professor, if you don't have any rebellious heart, read the books of the saints by heart, and only understand those superficial truths, then life is like copying, copying other people's paths, in your own body, becoming nondescript, people can copy others', but if you will only copy in your life, and will not go against the odds to surpass, then the living will never be yourself, but in the old path of others, and this road will definitely not exceed the achievements of the people you copy。

Why did the sage say the words of caution to the world, why did he make the road simple? Just because he wanted to use the simplest words to show the simplest truth, a straight word, contains a lot, a filial piety word contains thousands of words can not explain the fact, this is simple, if only the orthography is copied, the surface may be positive, but in the heart can never let it go beyond this word, is it really that simple?

As we all know, Yuelu Academy has been famous for disseminating scholarship since its inception, and its dissemination and promotion of science are particularly prominent. There is still an obvious prejudice against science today, and it is easy to put on the big hat of idealism.

In fact, the philosophical world is by no means as simple as the division of idealistic materialism. These difficult and profound propositions are the foundation left to future generations to answer with practical actions.

The spirit and atmosphere of the sages who had the courage to think about the world in diversity and have a deep understanding of the world, to discuss freely and to communicate on an equal footing, was really rare in China at that time. As for the later science to the official article, it is not the business of the scholars, but the affairs of those politicians, since ancient times, Confucianism pays attention to righteousness, but unfortunately most of the Confucian disciples in later generations are wise in the name of hypocrisy, under the banner of benefiting the world, but selling dog meat on the head of a sheep, almost all those who dare to refute are almost all killed, even the emperor is no exception, Qin Shi Huang is an example, such a great monarch is said to be a tyrant, Zhu Di is also, those so-called scholars just chased him to rebel against the bad reputation, but did not think that he was for the Ming Dynasty, and even the descendants of later generations to support a piece of heaven。

The greatness of the seowon lies in the purpose of returning to innocence in education. On a spiritual level, the college hopes to restore humanity and stimulate the better and more beautiful side of human nature through education. As Zhu Zi said, if a gentleman is educated, then everyone can return to goodness or only learn to change their temperament.

In a cultural sense, the college requires students to have good methods in reading, study a subset of scriptures and history, be familiar with current affairs and physics, and pay attention to moral norms, so as to be rational and promising, and all this lies in the breakthrough of two words, in the simple point, it is liberation, and in the simple point, it is the positive and the negative.

Let people respect the traditional culture and adhere to it, and the truth of the sages has the wisdom and flexibility to keep pace with the times. In terms of academics, during the Song and Ming dynasties, Yuelu scholarship was based on Zhu Zhangzhi's learning, while in the Qing Dynasty, Confucianism and Sinology were mainly taught. The simple summary is that you will never lag behind, so the sentence is only talented, and you are not an empty word, nor a boastful word, but a real dwarf.
