Chapter 222: Prophecy Genius (Part 2)
"And what about the third prophecy?" asked Professor Trelawney, with some excitement.
"I'm sorry, Professor!" Jon shook his head and said solemnly, "Fate told me that this last prophecy will have to be told to you later!"
"Well, we respect fate's choice!" Professor Trelawney nodded.
She began to continue to tell the students that they needed to clear out their distractions, stare at the crystal ball, and see the future from it......
"Whew!" a strange cry interrupted the silence in the classroom.
"What's wrong, Mr. Avery?" asked Professor Trelawney, a little displeased.
"This can't be!" Sean Avery looked at the book he took out of his bag with some surprise: "What I put in my bag is obviously 'Piercing the Fog and Looking into the Future'...... How could it be the wrong one!"
But now Avery has a copy of the Intermediate Transfiguration Guide in his hand.
"I think it's a sign of disrespect to the teacher to not bring a book to class!" Professor Trelawney whispered, with a heavy face.
"I'm sorry!" Avery hurriedly ran to the old bookcase and grabbed a worn-out copy of "Clearing the Fog and Looking into the Future".
The eyes of the entire classroom were immediately focused on Jon.
"He just said that Avery would go to the old bookcase to get the textbooks!" Melinda Bobin of Ravenclaw whispered.
Jon sat there unhurriedly, as if unaware of the other people's gazes. At the same time, an imperceptible smile crossed the corner of his mouth...... Avery would have brought the wrong textbook, of course, because Jon had secretly cast a "Confusion Charm" on him in the morning while he was sorting out the books......
It's for now!
"It can't be a double reed, right?" Tiffany Selwyn whispered, "That Patrick, he and Avery are in the same dormitory...... Could it be that they deliberately tricked us into it?"
As soon as Selwyn's voice fell, he suddenly heard a "bang", as if something had broken.
Astoria Greengrass sat there a little dazed, her crystal ball just touching the ground and shattering......
At the same time, her fingers were dripping blood, and she was trying to stop the crystal ball from falling to the ground, only to have her fingers cut by it.
"Are you alright......" Selwyn hurriedly helped her.
Then she took out her wand and stopped her wound while moving the pile of debris to the trash can.
"I'm sorry......" Astoria stood up and whispered to Professor Trelawney, "Professor, I didn't mean to...... Just accidentally ......"
The eyes in the classroom were once again on Jon.
The Slytherin students, in particular, seemed to have vanished from their eyes.
Avery was Patrick's roommate, and even if they only stayed together for less than two days, there was still the slightest chance of deliberate collusion.
However, Astoria Greengrass and Patrick have nothing to do with each other, and they haven't even spoken a word between them before that...... However, she broke the crystal ball, and with her character, it was difficult to help others do such things.
So there's only one possibility, and that's – Christoph Patrick really has a certain prophetic ability, and he can really see the future.
......
Professor Trelawney looked even more excited.
"Very good! very good!" she said as she shuddered over to Jon and said, "After all these years, I have finally seen a genius in prophecy...... Sure enough, Patrick, Professor Stark is right about you!"
"Is there such a thing as Professor Stark, I would say that!" Jon thought to himself, after all, he had made up the name improvised.
"And what about the third prophecy?" Professor Trelawney hurriedly asked, "You told me before that there are three prophecies......
"I'm sorry, Professor!" Jon's voice lowered slightly, "And the third prophecy is about you?"
"About me?" Professor Trelawney looked more interested, "Tell me about it!"
Jon said slowly, "In the crystal ball, I saw your face, and around there, a ......"
"Falcon......" Jon's face turned solemn, and it seemed as if it had taken a lot of effort to spit out the word...... Then, he sighed, "Professor, you're going to have an enemy!"
"I don't think it's a reliable prophecy, dear!" Professor Trelawney shook his head, "I'm afraid there will be no enemies for a good prophet like me, Patrick!"
Jon paid no attention to her, and continued to speak in a solemn and respectful tone, "Tower...... Professor, you're going to have the biggest dilemma of your life...... You're going to almost lose everything you cherish......"
Professor Trelawney's face seemed to be getting more and more ugly.
"And finally...... Suns ......" Jon looked relieved, "I think you're lucky, Professor...... In the hardest moments, someone will reach out to you and save you from the abyss!"
"That's enough!" Professor Trelawney growled, "Mr. Patrick, I suppose you're not prophesying, you're creating rumors...... I won't have any enemies, I won't be in trouble, and I won't need anyone to pull me out of the abyss!"
"I don't think it's up to you, Professor!" Jon shook his head regretfully, pretending to be a god, "The future is never changed by the will of any individual, even if she's a prophet!"
"I think I'll have to take it back, Mr. Patrick!" Professor Trelawney feigned regret: "I thought you would be very gifted in prophecy......"
"It is time, not words, that depends on the prophecy or not. Jon replied flatly.
The expression on Professor Trelawney's face looked like he had eaten.
"Very good......" It took her more than ten seconds to spit out the word.
Then she made up her mind and decided not to pay attention to Jon anymore, strode up to the podium, and resumed her lecture.
......
For the rest of the lesson, almost no one continued to listen to Trelawney's lectures.
With the exception of Astoria, all the students in the class glanced in Jon's direction from time to time out of the corner of their eye.
At the same time, the whispers of his discussion were endless.
"Can he really predict the future?"
"I don't know, but he's right about Avery and Greengrass!"
"I think he's more reliable than that old liar Trelawney!"
......
There was no panic on Jon's face, and he still made a look like a god.
His eyes were still fixed on the crystal ball, and he was still talking about words from time to time, and he was gesturing something on the parchment from time to time.
