Chapter 249: The Fool and Destiny 2
"Where is this?" Wright yelled, slamming his hand outward.
The dim realm like night, as if a cut had been torn by the pincers, was revealing a crimson glow.
"Red?" Wright said in surprise, but he didn't feel fear, it seemed to be a scene he had seen in his dreams, and an inexplicable familiarity completely enveloped his body.
"Do you want to go in?" Wright muttered to himself, looking around hard.
But unfortunately, everything around me has no other colors except for the infrared in front of me.
In the silence of the psychedelic realm, everything seems to be forbidden by magic, waiting for Wright's choice.
Knock, knock, knock, knock......
A sound like a huge bronze bell ringing in the attic at the highest point of Ice City rushed into Wright's head.
It seemed to remind him of the passage of time, but more like urging him to make a decision as soon as possible.
After clearing his throat vigorously, Wright slumped at the junction of torn redness and darkness with one hand, and unconsciously rubbed his hair with the other.
Finally, after two deep breaths, Wright chose to pluck up the courage to shout inward:
"Is that you? Uncle Timod? Did you bring me here? What do you want to tell me? Do you want me to come in here?"
"That's right, it's me. Timod's familiar voice reached Wright's ears.
"What do you want to tell me?" Wright repeated the second half of the question.
"This is my dream, and if you want to know something about the dragon ruins here, it's best to come in and see something, feel something, or look for something. You know, I'm just a poor man who is looking for hope in the fog, maybe I've been in touch with both dawn and darkness, but I've never found the call in the fire. Maybe you can, maybe you can't, but since you chose to accept Shamon's recommendation to come here, you must have something you're looking for, right?" Timod's voice continued.
Wright didn't answer immediately, but tried to put his head inward, and although his feet and half of his body were still in the darkness outside, he seemed to be able to see a little inside.
"Uncle, where are you?" Wright asked, turning his head to look around.
"I'm in a place where you don't notice. Timod replied more interestingly.
"But I can't see anything, only red, and only black outside. Wright asked deliberately, wanting Timod to provide him with more information in his dream.
"You need to choose, just like I did in the palace. Maybe I knew that would fail, but I tried it and held on until the very end. And you, do you have the courage?" asked Timod intriguingly, and if Wright could see his facial expression, he would have been amazed at the extreme mockery of his countenance.
Although at one time his face was as immature as Wright.
"How's the choice?" Wright asked.
"Look behind you. Timod said.
Rumble!
A dull thud came from behind Wright, who hurriedly pulled his arms and head back, staring warily at the source of the sound in the darkness.
"Light?" Wright felt a difference.
"yes, Light. Timod's voice came again.
A golden light unreservedly revealed his color, in front of Wright, in front of him and Timod in this psychedelic dream.
For a moment, Wright couldn't even tell whether this was reality or a dream. The vision of heaven that the priest had described when he was praying at the church of Evantley resurfaced in his mind.
"It was a world of light, and no one could touch the darkness. There is only warmth, there is only beauty, just touch it, and you will know and get everything you desire. ”
The priest's voice hadn't yet faded in Wright's mind, but his hand had slowly moved closer to the light.
Just a centimeter away, Wright could reach it.
"You have to think about it, once you touch this light, you can't get any information in my dreams. Although I'll still show you around some of the excavated things in the ruins. But what I've been through, all the knowledge and history that I know, you're going to hear me and not feel it. So, do you still have to accept the light?" Timod kindly reminded.
"Maybe I need your own experience. Wright said lightly, turning quickly, and without looking back, he rushed into the crimson that had torn open a corner.
"That's right. The next thing you feel, everything you come into contact with will be the adventure of the 'fool'. Will you be able to create a legend in the future, or will you be buried in the unknown? It must be up to you. But I'm sure that the people who can be easily led into this place by me will not be too bad. Good luck. Timod said.
Originally, Wright wanted to say something, but he suddenly found that the crimson around him seemed to have been transformed from gas to liquid, and began to change from psychedelic to physical.
After hesitating and observing for a second or two, the surrounding crimson gradually spread to both sides, forming two tentacles like ghosts, attacking Wright's spirit.
"Ah--h
A jumble of light, psychedelic aura, crimson colors, and tingling sensations linger and develop.
Eventually, he felt that everything around him was gradually returning to calm.
Gradually, the noise of a bazaar regained his ears.
"Is this?" Wright snapped his eyes open and looked around.
"Hit, hit!"
"Don't fight and don't tease us!"
"Hurry up, you won't be able to beat it!"
Looking at the voice of Wright, he seemed to be in a dueling arena.
Looking around, Wright looked closely, but he didn't see the circular structure and hierarchical grandstand like the traditional dueling arenas of the Cruster Empire, which in his eyes looked more like a traditional government agency.
It has a red-style exterior brick wall, layered office areas, and the iconic flagpole with a red flag painted with a dragon on it.
Wright looked down the ground, and in addition to a huge badge with a creeping dragon, there were three Flame Empire characters he knew.
"gun, si, kuan?" Wright said in a non-standard pronunciation.
"Military Pavilion, right, the Flame Empire's former first-level military management body. It seems that since the incident in the imperial capital of that country, this level of administrative structure has been abolished and replaced with the Ministry of Defense in a more modern sense. Wright replied with what he had learned about history.
"Bad luck, let's go, it's boring. ”
Following the voice, Wright looked into the small dueling arena again, where it was several soldiers in old non-commissioned officer uniforms, shaking their heads and complaining about something.
Wright stepped forward quickly, just about to ask something, and then a wry smile appeared on his face.
"I almost forgot, this is my uncle's memory, I can't seem to touch anything. Wright smiled wryly, and could only draw his gaze back to the center of the dueling arena once again.
This time, he looked very carefully, and even some details were clearly observed.
"Those were two teenagers, who seemed to be three or four years younger than me. Wright analyzed, holding his chin with interest.
One of them was dressed in gray and white, and in Wright's impression, no officials or soldiers of the Avantley Empire and the Flame Empire had such attire, while the other was wearing a red-colored coat and trousers, and a dragon belt carved on his waist.
This Wright knew that it was the outfit of the old guard of the Flame Empire.
Many of the people of the Flame Empire who escaped from the Ice-Inspired City of the Capital of Evantley like to put some of their knick-knacks up for auction.
Wright was lucky enough to buy a belt that was exactly the same as this style.
As he observed, Wright gradually noticed that there seemed to be some kind of liquid around his body.
Driven by curiosity, he jerked his head up.
"Is this the rain?" Wright said, wiping his somewhat rough face, but not moving a single bit, like the two teenagers in front of him.
As the rain gradually fell, Wright noticed that the young man in the gray uniform on his left hand first took a breath, then moved two more steps forward, and then said:
"You know my strength, in the moment of darkness and light, I will follow the ancient rules of the empire and get out of here. ”
"Is it an ancient rule, that the outcome of a duel is used to determine the will of the other, even if one side takes the life of the other? ”
The young man in red said with a smile, the corners of his mouth twitched slightly, his right hand clenched into a fist, and he sprinted forward.
However, what was shown in front of Wright was not a wonderful duel scene, although he was ready to eat melons and watch the show, but when the fist of the young man in red hit the chest of the young man in gray, the surrounding time stopped in an instant as if it had been pressed to a standstill.
Then, from the fist of the young man in red, a red light began to emerge outward, it was like a fog in a clear world, more like a blood-colored monster used to claim life in the ancient sunset, spreading unscrupulously in front of Wright.
"What is this? I, what's going on?" said Wright, who suddenly felt his body unable to move as if it had been stuck in a plaster cast as if it had been in a dream two days ago.
Gradually, the red glow turned into a grimace like a spirit, enveloping his body completely.
In his ears, the fierce and deep voice of the woman in his dream came again.
"Bring it!"
"Take your life!"
"Bring everything from the dragons!"
......
"Don't! don't come!" Wright shouted, opening his eyes closed, sitting up from the couch and waving his arms forward as if to drive something.
"What do you see? Why are you so nervous. Timod said in a mocking tone, handing the glass of water that had already been prepared in his hand to Wright.
"Terrible. Call. Wright said, taking the glass from Timod and taking a sip.
Then, after the rhythm of his breathing returned to normal, he looked around again.
Simply, the bookshelves not far away, the long square table, the crystal ball on it, and the lame but cleaned up Uncle Timod in front of him all prompted him to return to reality.
"Say," Wright scratched his head, still a little puzzled:
"How did I get on the couch, I remember not seeing the couch when I walked in. ”
