This equipment structure has a drawback, it is easy to produce bilateral wave waste, the average scrap rate is 0.05%, and the steel scrapped due to bilateral wave is 650 tons per day.

For products with a rolling thickness of ≤30mm, the scrap rate of bilateral waves is 1%.

There are two supply states of 945 steel, the non-quenched and tempered state ≤ 16mm, and the quenched and tempered state is 17~32mm.

That is to say, the probability of bilateral wave waste in the finishing rolling process of 945 steel in the hot rolling mill is very high, and there is one bilateral wave waste product for every 100 rolls.

This furnace 945 steel is 16mm non-quenched and tempered, and 1% of the bilateral wave scrap rate was hit by it.

A 1% scrap rate isn't terrible, isn't there still 99 passes?

There are many reasons why steel is scrapped, not just bubbles and bilateral waves.

If the probability of each defect is 1%, then don't make steel.

Even if the average scrap rate of 0.05% is taken from the bilateral wave, more than 200,000 tons of steel will be scrapped every year.

How big is the displacement of a destroyer?

Even if the scrap rate is reduced by 0.01%, it is also very meaningful for a super-large steel mill with an annual output scale of 4 million tons+.
