After the three American auto giants issued this joint statement, Germany, Volkswagen also issued the same statement, and subsequently, Daimler-Benz, BMW, France's Peugeot Citroen and other European automakers have also announced the adoption of the 16949 system as the standard for quality management of companies and suppliers.
In less than a week, all automobile manufacturers in Europe and the United States announced the unified use of the 16949 system as the certification standard, ending the decades-long situation that the quality certification standards in Europe and the United States are not uniform.
In Asia, Japanese and South Korean automakers, such as Toyota and Hyundai, have taken a similar approach.
Only in China, there has been no movement, and state-owned factories such as SAIC and FAW have not given a specific implementation time.
Although Tianming Automobile Company is not in a hurry to issue an external statement, announcing the specific time point of the factory construction in accordance with the 16949 quality management system, in fact, the company has begun to prepare for the construction of the 16949 system as early as December last year.
