Chapter 90: The Tower in the Storm

It's been more than a week since Blake tried to break into Gryffindor Tower.

There are many opinions and rumors among the students...... The only thing that can be confirmed, however, is that the school did not actually catch the intruder.

Azkaban's fugitive, Siris Black, is still at large!

The first Quidditch match was approaching, but the weather was getting worse.

The first game was supposed to be between Slytherin and Gryffindor, but Slytherin captain Marcus Flint claimed that their Seeker injury had not yet healed, so Hufflepuff had to step up and play the game.

"Gryffindor just lost to us a few months ago, and they're definitely going to want to get back on the field!" Jon heard Cedric tell his players the day before the game as he returned to the common room, "We need to be extra careful, we must not be careless!"

Outside the window, the wind and rain were fiercer than before, and the corridor outside was already dark before it was dark.

"We're going to win!" shouted the Hufflepuff Quidditch team in unison, and Jon heard Zacharis's voice loudest.

......

The next morning, Jon woke up, and it was still dark outside.

Thunder rumbled in the sky, the wind crashed against the castle walls, and trees were blown off in the Forbidden Forest in the distance.

It's half past six in the morning, and in a few hours the Quidditch match between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor will begin.

Arriving in the common room, it was rare that it was already full of people early in the morning, and even if it was raining outside, it still didn't dampen their enthusiasm for Quidditch.

A lot of people were already wearing yellow and black cheerleading uniforms, and there were people talking about how to amplify their voices and cheer on Hufflepuff in the midst of a storm.

Jon didn't spend much time in the Hufflepuff common room, he went straight to the dining room, drinking porridge and thinking about his plans for the day.

Based on my knowledge of the original story, the large crowd of this Quidditch match was a great temptation for the Dementors - so much so that they broke the agreement with the Ministry of Magic and flew to the Quidditch pitch en masse to enjoy the feast!

This is a good opportunity to put your Patronus in action.

Jon wasn't going to Quidditch, though......

After all, there are so many people on the court, and a second-year student summoning a full Patronus is a bit more conspicuous, and with Dumbledore and the other teachers, the Dementors will be driven away as soon as they appear, and it will not be their turn to do it themselves.

Jon's plan was to go to a high spot where there were few people, and wait until the Dementors broke into the school from all directions, passing by his location, and confronted them.

Anyway, he was born with no too much influence from Dementors, and with the existence of Occlumency, even if there was a little accident, there would be no bad consequences.

Hogwarts has two prominent vantage points, the rooftops of Gryffindor Towers and Ravenclaw Towers, and in such stormy weather, there will certainly be no one on the roofs of both towers.

The former was directly ruled out by Jon, after all, entry and exit required a password, and the recent break-in by Blake was heavily defended, and the latter was a good choice.

The common room in Ravenclaw is almost the easiest of the four colleges to break into, and all you have to do is answer the question of the olecranon knocker to get through unimpeded.

Jon said as he pulled out a pitch-black polyjuice potion from his pocket, a bottle that could help him maintain his transformation for an hour or so with a little hair or something.

......

At 8.50am, just ten minutes before the start of a Quidditch match.

Compared to the now empty Hufflepuff common room, the Ravenclaw tower is clearly much more lively...... With such bad weather, not many Ravenclaw students were willing to go to a Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.

Jon had seen a Ravenclaw student in the library a quarter of an hour earlier who was struggling to write and finish his homework, so he plucked a strand of his hair and put it in the Polyjuice Potion.

Now, he's become the same Ravenclaw student, who seems to be a third-grader, called "Michael Corner" or whatever, he can't remember exactly.

He followed the route Percy Weasley had taken a few months earlier, entering the Ravenclaw Spire and then passing through a spiral staircase.

Jon ended up in front of a door without handles or keyholes: an old wooden door with a bronze eagle-shaped knocker on it.

He stepped forward and tapped lightly on the door.

The eagle's beak opened suddenly, but instead of a bird's call, it made a soft, pleasant sound:

"It will devour everything,

Insects, fish, birds and beasts, flowers and trees,

etched through pig iron and steel;

Turning rocks into fly ash,

Kill the king, slaughter the town,

The sea is mulberry fields, and the mountains are plains......"

To be honest, Jon didn't like this kind of brainteaser, which is why he chose Hufflepuff between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw in the first place, and even if he had chosen Ravenclaw, Ravenclaw wouldn't have wanted him in the first place.

However, this question is not difficult for him.

"Time!" he replied in Michael Kona's hoarse voice.

"That's a good answer!" the soft voice said, and the door swirled open.

The Ravenclaw common room is a large circular room with blue and bronze silk curtains hanging from arched windows on the walls. If the weather is good, you can see the beautiful surrounding hills, but it's completely dark outside.

Jon also saw the marble statue of Rowena Ravenclaw, with the inscription underneath, "Extraordinary ingenuity is the greatest treasure of mankind."

He didn't have much time to focus on that, though, and he had to find his way to the roof as soon as possible......

An ethereal voice interrupted Jon's thoughts.

"Michael?" a long, pale blonde girl with a shaggy head and a waist-length waist appeared in front of Jon.

"Good morning, Luna......" Jon replied stiffly.

Luna Lovegood walked around Jon curiously, pricking up her nose and sniffing vigorously.

"You're not Michael, are you?" she asked softly.

"I'm ......" Jon had quietly grasped the wand at his waist, and he was ready to cast an amnesia spell on Luna, but the Ravenclaw students around him made it a little difficult.

"To be exact, you're not a Ravenclaw!" Luna blinked, "You don't smell of Ravenclaw...... You're a Slytherin, aren't you?"

"Huh?" Jon was stunned.

"Gryffindor and Hufflepuff compete in Quidditch, and the boys from the other houses who break into here can only be Slytherin!" Luna asked in a low voice, "Did you use the harassing fly to help transform you?"

Jon nodded vaguely.

"Don't worry about what I'll tell anyone!" Luna said with some frustration, "and even if I did, they would think it was just crazy." ”

"Can you take me to the top of the tower, Luna?" Jon asked tentatively.

"Of course, follow me!"

The girl grinned, and she walked lightly and looked a little crazy, and the butterbeer cork necklace jumped with her.

......

A few minutes later, they came to the top of the Ravenclaw Tower.

Luna had already held up a dirty black umbrella, looking a little precarious in the storm.

Jon pulled out his wand: "Imperuious"

An invisible layer of water appeared around them, blocking the rain from the air and keeping their clothes from getting wet.

After making plans for today a few days ago, Jon deliberately found a copy of "Standard Spell - Level 3" and temporarily learned the "Waterproof Charm".

Luna put down her big black umbrella and asked softly, "What are you doing here, do you want to take advantage of the storm to catch the scimitar-horned snorer?"

Jon made a booing gesture, then looked at the Quidditch pitch in the distance with a somewhat solemn expression.

The commotion on the pitch could not be stopped even by a storm, and at the same time, countless black shadows began to fly in the direction of the pitch.

"I hate them!" Luna suddenly covered her ears, "Those Dementors!"

"Whenever they come up to me...... I think of when my mom died......" Luna whimpered, a little unconsciously, as she crouched down, lowered her head, and curled up together.

Jon had no time to take care of her, and a dozen or so Dementors had been drawn to the two of them and flew towards the top of the Ravenclaw Tower.

The memories of every person with a tragic past are the most wonderful nourishment for Dementors, and so is Luna Lovegood, who witnessed her mother's death.

Jon used Occlumency to free himself from the Dementors' faint influence.

The nearest Dementor was only about ten yards away.

"Expecto patronum!" Jon shouted without hesitation.

The dazzling silver light reappeared, and then the warm breath enveloped them...... Faced with a dozen or so Dementors, Jon successfully summoned his Patronus, a young iron-eater the size of a spotted cat, and hovered over Jon's head.

It bared its teeth and roared at the Dementors, as if trying to scare them away.

However, such a juvenile Patronus did not seem to be too intimidating to the Dementors, and they continued to fly towards the blisters.

Jon's mind suddenly felt the Patronus's wrath.

"Attack them!" he commanded softly in his heart.

The Patronus flew towards one of the Dementors at the front, two furry claws grasping the Dementor's ethereal body...... Only a flash of silver light was felt, and the Dementor's body was torn into two parts.

With the Dementor letting out a helpless wail, the Patronus found its next target.

It bit down on the neck of another Dementor, and countless black gases spread out from the wound......

In the distance, the Quidditch pitch suddenly emitted a warm and intense light, and the dementors who had just broken into the campus and the Quidditch pitch were frightened by the bright light and fled in all directions.

Including those around Jon, who picked up the shattered bodies of their companions and fled.

It is Albus Dumbledore's Phoenix Patronus...... Having had a close encounter, Jon knew the feeling well.

The Iron Eater tried to pursue it, but Jon called it back. It gave Jon a disgruntled look, and the Iron Eater let out a childish, feeble growl towards the distant point of light.

Jon suddenly noticed that his Patronus seemed to be bigger than it had just been. A few minutes ago it was the size of a piebald cat, and now it's at least about the size of a husky.

......

The Dementors are gone, and the Patronus is taken back by Jon.

The storm stopped, and the Quidditch pitch in the distance gradually died down, and the game was over.

Time was running out for the Polyjuice Potion, and Jon was ready to leave Ravenclaw Tower.

Luna Lovegood had not yet fully regained consciousness under the influence of the Dementors, and Jon helped her upβ€”

At the same time, he aimed his wand at her head, frowned, and whispered:

"Forget it allβ€”"

He eventually lowered his wand.

"You can use the Oblivion Charm, but there's no need!" he muttered to himself.

Give Luna to Melinda Bobin, a second-year student in Ravenclaw, and ask Miss Bobin to take her back to the dorm room.

Jon left the Ravenclaw Tower in the last few minutes of his transformation.
