Chapter 458: A Strange Gift

"Does he like sour soda?" asked Ginny softly, reading the text over Harry's shoulder, puzzled.

"It's through the word from the stone monster outside his office. Harry had to explain.

"Wow!" Ron let out a strange cry of excitement, "Professor Dumbledore's private tutoring...... Man, that's not something everybody qualifies for!"

"What will Professor Dumbledore teach you?" asked Ginny, curiously.

"Probably...... Some advanced magical defence techniques...... Or some special spells and magic that the Death Eaters didn't know about......" Ron guessed as he wrenched his fingers.

"I'm looking forward to returning to Hogwarts soon!" Harry looked a little excited, "Apparition class...... There was also Professor Dumbledore's private tutoring...... It sounds like everything is cool!"

"When we get back to Hogwarts, we'll have to ask Hermione about it, too!" Ron said thoughtfully, "He seems to know a lot about that Christophe Patrick and didn't tell us ......"

However, Mrs. Weasley intruded at an inopportune moment, interrupting their conversation.

"Harry, my dear, and Ron......" Mrs. Weasley said with a smile on her face, "Can you go back to your room, I'm going to start cooking dinner here...... Come with me, Ginny, help me turn on the bread oven......"

Harry and Ron had no choice but to leave the kitchen, and Ginny followed her mother after exchanging a look with Harry.

......

Slowly stroking into the dark basement of the Burrow, Harry returned to his small room a few minutes later.

If this can really be called a "room"-

Unlocking the rusty lock (it hadn't been unlocked for decades before Harry moved in), covering his nose and barely getting used to the musty smell of the room, Harry barged in and sat down in the room.

Hedwig was in its cage, glaring at Harry Potter...... Judging by the attitude shown by the owl, it is also quite dissatisfied with its surroundings.

"I'm sorry, I'm going to let you out to breathe!" Harry said quickly, then ran over to open Hedwig's cage.

The owl pecked hard at Harry's hand, then flapped its wings and flew out.

"Oops!" Harry clutched his hands as he placed the letter Professor Albus Dumbledore had given him on the table, and pressed the Half-Blood Prince's Advanced Potions Making book against it.

Looking at the calendar on the table, there were still six days left until the end of the Christmas holidays......

But at this moment, only a "poof" was heard, and a strange sound suddenly sounded behind him, which almost startled Harry.

Harry hurriedly grabbed his wand and aimed it in the direction of the sound—

"Squeak...... Chirping...... Squeak......"

A small thing that was extremely fast burrowed into the wall next to it.

"It's a mouse!" Harry breathed a sigh of relief. It's not the first time a rat has been found in this room...... It's not surprising to find any "animals" in this kind of room, where no one has lived in decades and a bunch of old things are piled up.

And the sound he had just heard was that the rat had knocked over a chest that was some year old.

Harry held his breath and crept closer......

Since he couldn't cast spells outside of school, he had to put back the dirty things that fell out of the box with his own hands.

A silver snuff box......

A rotten wizard's hat......

A couple of crystal bottles filled with strange liquids......

Harry felt like he was smoky and smelling a little musty...... But fortunately, there are not many things that have fallen...... Soon there was one last small box left......

It looked like a gift, a gift that hadn't been opened yet, and after wiping the dust off it, a line of words could be faintly seen above the box—

"To Professor Gideon-Prewitt!"

The signature behind it has been completely blurred and completely illegible.

Gidion Prewett, if Harry remembers correctly, is Mrs. Weasley's older brother...... According to Hagrid and Moody and his introduction, he was also one of the original members of the Order of the Phoenix...... During the last Voldemort rampant, Gideon Prewitt and his brother Fabian Prowett died a horrible death at the hands of a group of Death Eaters.

Even though the box was dirty and smelled musty, for some reason Harry felt something familiar.

"Mr. Prewett is dead anyway...... Harry said to himself, "or I'll open it for him...... What the hell is going on here?"

Harry Potter pondered as he began to reach for the straps on the box.

......

While Harry Potter was "cleaning up" his room, there was a bit of commotion in the doorway of the Burrow.

"It's Professor Dumbledore!" The first to stand up was Bill Weasley, who was standing in the doorway "sentry", and he whispered, "Mom, Professor Dumbledore is here!"

Hearing this, Mrs. Jasmine Weasley hurriedly ran out, not even having time to take off her apron.

"Professor Dumbledore, what a rarity!" Mrs. Weasley said excitedly as she hugged Dumbledore, "Arthur is still working in the Ministry, so it stands to reason that he can be back in fifteen minutes...... Are you going to stay here for dinner?"

"I'm sorry, Jasmine, I've been causing you trouble these days!" Dumbledore smiled apologetically.

"No trouble, no trouble...... Playing for the Order of the Phoenix, that's as it should be......" Mrs. Weasley shook her head, "Mad-Eye and Remus are having a meeting in the living room, are you going to the meeting?"

"No, no!" Professor Dumbledore shook his head, "Remus would organize the meeting and write to me every day...... I'm just going to head to the Ministry of Magic's Education Division to get busy with one thing, and I'm passing by here...... Hesga, Stoic, and Emmeline, are they all okay?"

"Of course, none of their injuries are serious, and they will recover in a week or two...... Someone is dedicated to taking care of them!"

Stoicle Podmore, Hesgar Jones, and Emmeline Vance were slightly injured in the battles at Grimmauld Place and Hogwarts, respectively, and are now recuperating in the Burrow to prevent further suspicion.

"Can you show me to see them, Jasmine?" asked Albus Dumbledore in a friendly voice.

"Of course, Professor, come with me!" Mrs. Weasley nodded without hesitation.
