When a monk is enlightened, should he continue to practice?

An old monk said it truthfully: pay off the debts you owe, and you have to earn money to live. Monks must continue to become enlightened, and after a long time of practice, they will become Buddhas. The Buddha is simple, not the kind of person enshrined in the temple, with light on his head and lotus flowers on the soles of his feet. The light radiating from the head is the greed of the world, colorful. The lotus flower under his feet is the root of the world's infatuation, and it is very stubborn. The temple was built by people, and to build a good house and make a big sculpture for the Buddha is to ask the Buddha to help him do things.

People have two basic problems, the problem of diet and the problem of men and women. "Eating and drinking, men and women, the great desire of people to survive", this is what the sage Confucius said. The common people also have a saying: "Full of warmth and lust, hunger and cold make a thief." There is also a lyric: "Arise, you who do not want to be slaves." "What are you doing when you get up? It's rebellion. The rebellion is justified and the problem of hunger and cold is solved. Hunger and cold are solved, lust follows, and another word for lust is to enjoy life. Enjoyment is a comfortable thing, how can we be willing to let go? We must try to keep it, and we must strive to preserve it. So the temple was built, and a statue was erected in the temple, called the Buddha, and this Buddha cured the poor from illness, promoted the officials, opened up the rich to make money, gave birth to sons to women, and let the sons be admitted to prestigious universities. Therefore, the old and the children, the rich and the poor, the men and the women, the officials and the people, all went to worship. This is how the world understands the boundlessness of the Dharma.

A section chief went to the director's house to send some money, begged for a deputy director's vacancy, and asked him to run for officials and buy officials. This matter must be run in private, and once it is made public, it will be ugly and will be punished. But when you go to the temple, you can do it publicly, burn a few sticks of incense, and say, Buddha, Buddha, I have worked hard for so many years, so I will promote a deputy director. The thing was done, so that the Buddha's light appeared, and he did great things without spending money. It doesn't matter if it doesn't work, a person who sends money to the director may not get the position of deputy director, the important thing is to leave a good impression, and find an opportunity in the future.

The real Buddha is not in the temple.

There are ten names for Buddhas: Nyorai, Enlightenment, Enlightenment, Good Death, Worldly Solution, Supreme Master, Husband, Celestial Master, Buddha, Bhagavad. Three of the names to be annotated, such as Lai, that is, "from nowhere, and without going" (Diamond Sutra), is the meaning of the Buddha in the first place, and you can't see that you are not practicing enough. A Buddha is an enlightened being, who realizes himself and helps others to become enlightened. Bhagavad is transliterated, i.e., the World-Honored One. By reciting these ten names, you will know how many things a Buddha has to do. If you were a person, you would have died of exhaustion, and if you weren't tired to death, you would have to die of annoyance.

The core of the Buddha is to do it, and to do it is to be virtuous. There is a saying called standing to become a Buddha, the Buddha has to stand, you can't become a Buddha by meditating, and if you meditate to become a Buddha, the telephone pole and the door pier are also Buddha, and the stone lion in front of the old temple is even more Buddha. With the right approach, everyone can become a Buddha. The old tree is the Buddha, it has grown for so many years, the cloak is bathed in the rain, it does not complain or resent, and it does not stop increasing the branches and leaves, growing fruits, people can enjoy the cool on hot days, shelter from the rain on rainy days, and can also breathe beneficial air. Seeking purity is not a Buddha's practice, the Buddha is not on the top of a deep mountain, the Buddha is a sentient being, the Buddha is in a place where there are many people, and there is a lot of trouble. Seeking purity is to save trouble, which is essentially a kind of greed, and greed is one of the ten negative karma mentioned in the Buddhist scriptures.

Things are relative, not absolute, they all have limitations, and the limitations are that there are borders. A person has done a bad thing, ordinary people have killed someone and set fire, officials are greedy for too much, before going to the execution ground, chanting the Buddha's name 100,000 times, asking the Buddha to bless, if the Buddha can really manage it, the Buddha is not a Buddha anymore. The Buddha talks about deeds, and also talks about precepts. The precept is to close the bad things in your heart like closing the door, and get rid of them little by little. The Buddha is also called the world's solution, and the solution is so popular. Tang Seng learning scriptures is the process of subduing demons, these demons are called inner demons, not outside, all in people's hearts. "Journey to the West" is an inspirational book that writes the story of Tang Seng overcoming himself.

The above words were said by an old monk, and I am only complimentary.
