Chapter 1: Entering the Song family for the first time

Next Chapter

March 28, 2001, a day I will never forget.

It was my first day in the provincial capital, and I was fourteen years old and in my first year of high school.

I went to school early, because there were few teachers in the village, there were few students, and the conditions were limited, so I learned fast and was willing to learn in a classroom in the first, second and third grades, and I skipped a grade in primary school, in fact, according to my age, I should now be in the second or third year of junior high school.

I have always grown up with my grandmother in my hometown, my parents work in a rich family in the provincial capital, my mother is their nanny, my father is the driver, they will go back to see me when they are free, but they always get together less and leave more.

They have been working here for almost ten years, and in the past few years, they have been thrifty, plus the family is good, the salary is high, and they have saved a few dollars.

Parents see that the children outside are living so well, and naturally want to make my life better, so I don't plan to come back, after my grandmother died, my father decided to pick me up and go there, and asked the family to help me contact the school.

Although my parents have been working in the city for many years, this is my first time in the provincial capital because we don't have a house here.

At that time, the house was not very expensive, and there was still money for a down payment, but my father wanted to use the money he saved for my college education, and even wanted me to go abroad in the future, so I could only temporarily live with my mother in the family's maid's room.

For this reason, my mother went to the supermarket to buy me a new dress, and my previous clothes were too out of place in this home environment. Even the clothes of the domestic servants are better than mine.

This is the first time I followed my mother to the big supermarket, because my parents only went back once for a long time, and I was afraid that the clothes would not fit, so I always sent money back to let my grandmother take me to buy.

A white cotton shirt, light blue jeans, and white sneakers, I think it's the best look other than the white dress my mom bought me.

I was afraid of life since I was a child, and I didn't dare to speak when I saw strangers, my mother dragged me out of the room, and I stepped forward and bowed to them: "Hello uncle and aunt!"

This family is a person with status, but they don't think I'm a burden, in their eyes it's just an extra pair of chopsticks, very enthusiastic asked me about some studies, I answered one by one.

"Aunt Li is really blessed, this child is well-behaved and sensible, I like it when I look at it!" Their enthusiasm temporarily dispelled my anxiety and restraint under the fence.

After another conversation, my mother took me back to the room, and the next day I was going to school to class, my mother let me sleep first, and then went to the kitchen to prepare tomorrow's things, I wanted to help her, but my mother didn't let me, and when I left, I explained to me: "Girl, the most important thing for you now is to get into a good university, and your mother and your father can follow you to enjoy happiness in the future, go to sleep, go to the new school tomorrow, you must get along with your classmates, don't make trouble, we can't afford to mess with anyone, you know!"

I nodded, and obediently lay down on the cot to sleep.

I have followed my grandmother for so many years, so I am also used to getting up early, and when my mother woke up, I also got up with her, and followed her to the kitchen to help, my mother naturally refused to let me suffer, I insisted on doing it, I told my mother that I didn't want to eat and drink for nothing here, and I couldn't get tired anyway.
