Chapter 173: 21 o'clock

In Monaco, in Nicole's mansion, Ji Tianci and a group of European beauties still live an "erosive" life that men envy.

Nicole's uncle Shino has been very irritated for a while now, and Grace Casino has been losing money continuously, although only the main store in Monaco has made a loss, but the amount of loss is incomprehensible.

For weeks on end, every day a "lucky customer" has won millions of euros from the casino, and the other party has won huge sums from the "blackjack" game. This is not uncommon, but it usually only happens a few times a year.

"Blackjack", also known as Blackjack, originated in France and is the most common gambling activity in Monaco casinos, and has a long history of spreading all over the world. The game is played by 2 to 6 players, using 52 cards except for the big and small kings, and the player's goal is to make the sum of the cards in their hands not exceed 21 points and be as high as possible.

Blackjack generally uses 1-8 decks of cards. The calculation of poker points in everyone's hand is: 2 to 9 cards, according to their original points, K, Q, J and 10 cards are counted as 10 points (generally recorded as T, that is, the meaning of ten); A card (ace) can be counted as 1 point or 11 points, up to the player's own decision (when the player stands, the points are regarded as the maximum and try not to burst, such as A+9 is 20, A+4+8 is 13, A+3+A is regarded as 15).

The dealer deals each player two cards face up, and two cards to himself, one face up (called face up) and one face down (called face down). When all the initial cards are distributed, if the player has an Ace and a T (in any order), he has a Black Jack, if the dealer's face card is a T and the face card is an A, he should turn over and have a Black Jack, if the dealer's face card is an A, the player can consider buying Insurance or not, and the insurance amount is half of the bet and will not be refunded. At this point, if the dealer's face down is a 10 (which constitutes a black jack), then the card is turned over and the insured player gets 1x the bet, or if the dealer does not have a black jack, the player keeps face down and the player continues to play. If the player is a Black Jack and the dealer is someone else, the player wins 1.5 times (or 2x, 2 to 1) bet, if the dealer is a Black Jack and the player is any other, the dealer wins the bet, and if both the dealer and the player are Black Jack, the player gets his bet back.

This is followed by the normal process of drawing: the first non-blackjack player chooses to hit, stand, double, split (when both cards are the same) or surrender (the dealer wins half of the bet), and if they choose to draw, they can only choose to take or stand. During the dealing, if the sum of the player's cards exceeds 21, the player loses – called Bust and the dealer wins the bet (regardless of the banker's subsequent score). If the player does not blow and decides not to hit again (stand, or terminated due to doubling or surrender), it is the next non-Blackjack player to choose.

When all players stop drawing cards, the dealer turns over the cards and continues to draw cards until the number of points is not less than 17 (if there is an A, it will be calculated according to the maximum and try not to burst). If the dealer blows, then he loses and the player wins 1x the bet, otherwise he wins by a lot of points. A tie is a tie and the player gets their bet back.

It's a game with simple rules, but there are two things to note.

One is splitting, the so-called split is that the player places a bet equal to the original bet, and divides the first two cards into two separate decks of cards. The two cards must be of the same value (i.e. a pair of eights, a pair of kings or a pair of queens, and in some games two 10-point cards such as a 10 and a queen can also be split). However, Blackjack after the general split can only be calculated as an ordinary 21 points, and its odds are only 1 to 1. After splitting, 2 cards are made up in turn, and they are calculated according to the original rules.

The second is doubling down: after the player has the first two cards, he can place a bet equal to the original bet (double if he thinks it is less), and then he can only take one more card. If you get Blackjack, you are not allowed to double down. (In some games, you can choose to double down if you have 3 or more cards, but you can only take one more card; in some games, you can still double down after splitting)

In European and American casinos, most of the bookmakers of the 21 game are the dealers of the casino, and if the dealer loses money, the casino loses money.

In fact, in the various games of European and American casinos, in terms of the rule setting, the probability of winning is slightly more biased towards the banker. Coupled with the casino's "bonus limit (limit the maximum bet amount)", in general, the casino as a whole will not have large losses.

Some illegal casinos do not have a bonus limit, but this practice will lead to a situation where if the player keeps doubling the loss, according to the probability, he will always win a game, and it is enough to win only this game.

For example, if a player plays the game of "guess the size", the first round of 10,000 yuan is pressed, and if he loses, he loses 10,000 yuan, then the second round will continue to be pressed by 20,000 yuan, and then if he loses the next round, he will be pressed by 40,000 yuan, and then he will lose 80,000, 160,000, and 320,000 yuan...... As long as you win a round, you can stop immediately, and all the money you lost before can be won back, and you can also earn 10,000, which requires the player to have enough capital.

Therefore, it is especially important for casinos to limit the maximum bet amount, and in Grace Casino, the maximum bet amount for non-VIP players is 100,000 euros for 21 point games. It stands to reason that casinos don't lose money for many days on end, but right now, the money that a casino loses every day at a table at 21 o'clock is putting the entire casino in the red.

What makes Sino very depressed is that not many people win the 21-point game, and only one "big winner" wins a huge amount of money every day, and this "big winner" has both men and women, young and old, and is not the same person.

Casinos have facial recognition systems, and casinos around the world share information. Those big winners are not old people or calculation masters, just like ordinary people, and some memory masters or mental arithmetic masters nowadays will be banned from the casino, or invited by the casino to be consultants.

Sino also sent people to follow these big winners, but the people who sent them always followed them after not long and then lost them. This made Shino very uneasy, and the same situation happened every day, as if someone was behind it. If we can't find the reason why the big winners are winning, within a year, the entire Grace Group will be declared bankrupt.

Finally, Sino couldn't help but talk to Nicole, and now that the casino is in crisis, he even feels the need to temporarily close the casino for a while, or cancel the game at 21 o'clock, and all of this requires Nicole's consent.

Sino watched Nicole grow up, he has no children himself, Nicole is his only relative, he loves Nicole very much, and only hopes that Nicole can live a happy life.

Shino knew that Nicole had recently had a crush on an Oriental man, and he had investigated, but the man was too mysterious to find any information about him. In the end, it was confirmed by the doctor that the man named Lucifer was indeed suffering from amnesia.

Sino kept the butler staring at Lucifer, and he thought that Nicole would be tired of playing with Lucifer for a month at most, but now it seemed that she was getting more and more unable to extricate herself. As long as Lucifer doesn't hurt Nicole, Sino won't do anything special, and this Lucifer looks like an artist with connotation, who understands music and painting very well, and Nicole is better with him than with some unscrupulous model movie stars.

In the evening, Sino arrives at Nicole's house. He doesn't usually come here because he's very busy, spending most of his time at Grace Casinos around the world.

"Uncle Shino, you can handle the casino affairs in full charge, and you don't need to consult with me. You know, I don't understand that. Nicole trusts her uncle very much, and everyone usually talks by phone, and she is curious why his uncle came to talk to her about things.

Shino's face was heavy, "I'm going to close the casino temporarily, I'm afraid someone is targeting us this time." ”
