Chapter 693: Bloodletting!
In general, you need at least three doctors for surgery.
The surgeon is a surgeon and at least one assistant. Responsible for surgery.
There must usually be at least one anaesthetist who is responsible for the anaesthesia of the patient and ensures the safety of the patient.
There are usually two nurses, an instrument nurse who is mainly responsible for the delivery of instruments, and a roving nurse who is responsible for the affairs under the operating table. There are many doctors and nurses required for major surgery, and there are 1-2 chief surgeons, 1-2 opposite hooks, 1 instrument nurse, 1 anesthesiologist, 1 itinerant nurse, and 1 chief physician. A total of 7-9 people.
Ophthalmic cataract surgery: 1 surgeon, 1 assistant and 1 itinerant nurse. A total of 3 people. From going to medical school to becoming a surgeon, it's all different, sewing a wound to the orthopedic department and putting a plaster cast or something, it is also a minor operation, and the one who has just graduated can do it, and the heart surgery and brain surgery are the most difficult, it takes about fifteen years. There are only two levels of qualifications for physicians, which are:
1. Qualification of assistant practitioner
2. Qualification of licensed physician
Generally speaking, those who have the qualifications of practicing physicians are qualified doctors, but the experience is not very rich, and generally only some very small surgeries are done, and larger surgeries are basically presided over by physicians with attending physicians and above.
A licensed physician is a practicing qualification, and it also belongs to the junior title, which is equivalent to an assistant engineer of engineering and technical personnel.
The attending physician is a professional title, which belongs to the intermediate level, and is at the same level as the lecturer and engineer, and is more experienced.
In addition, there is an associate chief physician, which is at the level of associate professor. The chief physician is at the professor level. After 7 years of clinical work, you can only stand on the sidelines and observe when you enter the operating room, and you can be an assistant in a few years, and you can perform automated surgery in a few years, but you are not yet the chief surgeon. Generally, the first assistant is the attending physician to act, he can independently complete some minor surgeries such as appendectomy, hernia repair, etc., and can be the chief surgeon after being promoted to the director in the future, the second assistant is a licensed physician, he can cooperate with the director or a assistant to complete some intermediate surgeries, the third assistant is a licensed assistant physician, he cannot complete all the surgeries independently, it depends on the degree of promotion of his title and technical improvement, and the fourth assistant is an instrument nurse. One minute on the stage, ten years of work off the stage, the anatomical diagram in the textbook and the situation on the actual operating table are completely different things, and there may be emergencies, some people have a special physiological structure that is different, as well as unexpected risks such as sudden cardiac arrest and sudden hemorrhage. The surgeons are the most skilled surgeons and the backbone of the hospital, and both patients and their families must actively cooperate with them.
