Chapter 200: The Unreliable Auror (Part 2)

Jon Hart only had a few days off in France.

He took advantage of the past few days to visit famous attractions such as Notre Dame Cathedral, the Palace of Versailles and the Eiffel Tower.

After receiving a reply from Madame Maxim, he prepared to return to England.

With the official opening of the Channel Tunnel in May 1994...... It takes just over three hours to travel from Paris to London by Eurostar express train.

Although the journey was easy, Jon ran into a little trouble when he arrived in London.

......

The Eurostar Express stops at St Pancras Station in London.

Jon got off the train and walked out of the train station with the swarm of people.

Suddenly, a female voice sounded from behind him: "Hello, is it Mr. Christoph Patrick from Austria?"

"Hello, yes!" Jon looked back and saw a girl in her early twenties.

She wore a weird sister's shirt and patched jeans, her jet-black eyes looked Jon up and down, and her bubblegum-style pink hair stood out.

Plus, she had a pamphlet in her hand.

"May I ask who you are?" Jon asked softly, frowning, his gaze moving down to the wand at the other's waist.

The other person looks like a witch, but why does she know her name?

Instead of answering his question, the witch looked at the pamphlet in her hand and continued, "You're from Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, going to Hogwarts as an exchange student for a year, right?"

"That's right!" Jon nodded.

"The Ministry of Magic received a letter yesterday from Beauxbatons School of Magic. The witch explained to Jon, "Any foreign wizard arriving in England must be tested for dangerous goods, and underage wizards need to be registered!"

"So, I have to go with you to the British Ministry of Magic, don't I?" Jon asked rhetorically.

"Yes!" the witch nodded, and she held out a hand to Jon, "You can call me Tonks, an English Auror!"

The two shook hands.

"Come with me!" Tonks waved at Jon, "Let's get to a place away from Muggles first!"

......

Tonks was light, and it took a lot of effort for Jon to keep up with him.

As she passed by a large mirror, she stopped and critically observed herself in the mirror.

"I don't think pink is right for me!" she said worriedly, pulling at a lock of spiky hair, "and you say, does it make my face look too fat." ”

"Okay......" Jon nodded.

"Yes, that's right. Tonks nodded heavily, and then she closed her eyes tightly with a nervous expression...... A second later, her hair turned violet.

"That looks great, doesn't it?" she said, looking at herself in the mirror again, her head spinning around, looking at her hair from all angles.

"Okay!" Jon nodded again, asking, "Are you a disguised Magus?"

"That's right!" Tonks looked proud, "that is, I can change my appearance as much as I want...... When I was training for the Aurors, I didn't have to study at all to get the highest score for hiding and disguise, which is amazing!"

Continuing to walk forward, Tonks was still babbling:

"Inherited from my mother...... She came from a terrible wizarding family, and my father was Muggle-born...... What about your parents, Patrick?"

"My parents were wizards, and they both died when I was three years old!" Jon had to tell the story of the body.

"I'm sorry!" Tonks gave Jon an apologetic look

After a few dozen seconds of silence, she couldn't help but chatter again: "Exchange students are still quite rare at Hogwarts, at least I haven't met them in the years I've been there...... By the way, there is still a sorting ceremony to be performed at Hogwarts...... I hope you'll get a Hufflepuff, my father and I graduated from that, and Slytherin is pretty good, my mother is from there......"

"Is it really okay for us to blatantly say something about wizards, the Sorting, Muggles, or anything like that?" Jon reminded softly, lowering his voice.

Obviously, because of Tonks' loud voice, many of the passengers around them were looking sideways at them.

"Oh!" Tonks quickly covered his mouth and looked around:

"I'm sorry, but it's my first time on a mission...... The Aurors needed three years of training, and I only finished it in November last year...... And Kingsley has always disliked me for being too reckless and a little clumsy, and won't let me come out alone......"

"Yes......" Jon quickened his pace, afraid of drawing more Muggles' attention.

In his heart, he felt that Kingsley Shackle's assessment of Tonks was right.

......

Finally, they came to a small alley in the middle of nowhere, outside the train station.

"Can you apparition?" Tonks asked.

Jon shook his head.

"Yes, you're so young......" Tonks patted her on the head, "Then you grab my arm." ”

Jon stretched out his right hand with some weakness, and quickly retracted it.

"Is it really okay?" he asked, not reassuringly.

"Uh......" Tonks scratched his head again: "It should be fine...... I've never tried to use Shapeshifter with a person, though. ”

Jon couldn't help but take two steps back...... Apparition is a rather dangerous spell for unskilled users, as it can often have serious consequences such as severed heads, broken legs, and slashes.

If it was Dumbledore, he would have stretched out his hand without thinking, but now it was Tonks, and he always felt that she was not very reliable......

"Why don't we take the subway?" asked Jon tentatively.

"Yes, yes, yes!" Tonks' face did not show a look of displeasure, but became excited: "Muggle subway, I haven't taken it yet?"

......

Jon wasn't sure if taking Tonks on the subway was the right choice.

At the same time, he suspected that in the past hour, he had seriously violated the wizarding secrecy law.

Tonks was like a little girl, first holding a subway coin and screaming in fuss, then spending half a day in the ink at the exit of the subway, and almost pulling out her wand at a picture of a beautiful woman in a bikini......

However, this should be a slightly safer way to get to the Ministry of Magic.

Eventually, they came to a bleak side street with only a few shabby-looking offices, a tavern and a bus.

At the back of the bus, there is a dilapidated red telephone booth.
