The choice to place the first charging station in the parking lot of Tianming Group is to facilitate the charging and use of subsequent employees. Each charging station will contain multiple charging stations, and the number of charging stations will vary from five to ten, depending on the situation, but the minimum will be five. The charging stations installed this time include ten charging piles, which can meet the needs of ten electric vehicles for charging at the same time.
In the short term, it is impossible for electric vehicles to fully replace traditional cars, so the problem of insufficient number of charging piles will definitely be solved with the progress of technology.
On the ground, the charger, battery, power distribution system and other devices for installation have been placed there, each charging pile will have an independent power distribution system, and the entire charging station will have a total power distribution system, so that if one of the charging piles has a problem, it will not affect the use of several other charging piles.
In addition, each charging pile is equipped with an access device, which will regularly overhaul the entire charging system, and these auxiliary functions such as the pricing system are integrated into the same set to facilitate the self-management of the charging station.
Under the guidance of Martin Eberhard, the installation work on site has already begun, with the cooperation of the water and electricity department, chargers, batteries and other devices are installed in fixed positions one by one, and the original bulk parts have slowly become a whole.
The installation of the first charging station was almost entirely done by Martin Eberhard, while the other 12 Tianming Group staff members watched and learned, because they will be responsible for the technical guidance of the installation of the remaining charging stations.
Because it was an on-site teaching, the installation process of the first charging pile was relatively slow, and it took more than an hour to complete all the assembly work.
Next, use this instrument to detect the charging pile, if these indicators are all green, it means that there is no problem with the installation of the charging pile, and any indicator light turns red, which means that the function is not normal and needs to be further repaired. Eberhard raised the testing instrument in his hand and said as he demonstrated.
When Martin Eberhard plugged the test into the charging pile, all the indicators turned green and the installation was successful!
After the test, Martin Eberhard tested the charging ability of the charging pile, and charged a battery pack on the spot, and everything was normal!

The battery mass is 800 kilograms, and the theoretical range is 515 kilometers, which is already a very big breakthrough from Zhou Jingming's point of view, after all, before that, the only mass-produced electric car in the world, that is, GM's EV-1, has a range of only 140 kilometers.
"Now that the development work is nearing completion, the next step is to seize the time to test the vehicle, and before the end of the year, there must be a prototype. Zhou Jingming emphasized.
If there is a prototype car on display at the end of the year, then Tianming Group can release the reservation for this pure electric vehicle.
Considering that the pure electric vehicle market is not mature, this time Zhou Jingming does not plan to sell it through 4S stores, but directly orders from customers, and then assembles them in factories and delivers them directly to customers.
When the market slowly matures and consumers accept electric vehicles, Zhou Jingming will sell electric vehicles according to the model of 4S stores.
"The design of the body will be finalized by the end of this month, and then it will be commissioned to the body factory for production, and as long as the body can be delivered to us normally, the rest of the assembly work will be completed soon. Martin Eberhard replied.
"The battery development work is completed, but what are you going to do with the supply of batteries next, there should be no domestic battery manufacturers in China that can meet the requirements, right?" Zhou Jingming thought of this and hurriedly asked.
In many cases, all the parts that Tianming Group cannot produce by itself can only find suppliers abroad, because domestic manufacturers cannot meet such high requirements.
This time, the battery packs used in electric vehicles, if they rely on China, will definitely not be mass-produced.
"Koconi has already returned to the United States to contact suppliers, and when he was involved in the development of the EV-1, GM's batteries were supplied by this manufacturer, and there should be no problem with Cocconi coming forward. Martin Eberhard replied.
"But in this case, wouldn't our battery technology have to be taken out?" Zhou Jingming asked worriedly.
"The core technology will definitely not be taken out, we will provide production requirements to the other party, they only need to supply us according to the requirements. But this is only a stopgap measure, and if you rely on imported batteries for a long time, the cost of the vehicle will definitely increase, so my idea is that if the chairman really wants to develop pure electric vehicles, it is very necessary to start a battery production company. ”
