Chapter 59: Final Exams

With the location of the Horcrux known, the last hanging thread in Jon's heart was also released.

After the Easter holidays, the mandrake is also fully ripe...... With the combined efforts of Professors Sprout and Snape, the de-fossilization potion was configured, and it was used by students who had been attacked by basilisks.

They are all back to normal.

When Justin Finchrie wakes up, he learns the "truth...... He immediately went to Harry Potter of Gryffindor and apologized to him endlessly, saying that he had wronged him before.

Colin Creevey has become a Harry Potter henchman, looking at him with adoration at all times.

Percy Weasley admits that he fought the Slytherin monster to the death before he was petrified...... "I think I did my best, Professor McGonagall, but that monster is too powerful......"

However, after they celebrated their awakening, they soon learned of the sad news:

Final exams will be held on June 1.

It's only about seven weeks away.

......

In the last two months of the first year, all the courses are taught to them no longer teach them new knowledge; Instead, give them ample time to review what they've learned over the past nearly a year.

For most of these two months, Jon was with Astoria, at the back of the castle near a willow tree in the greenhouse. While basking in the sun, they recited the twelve uses of dragon's blood, or practiced a few wand movements needed to practice spells.

Sometimes, when he was tired, Jon simply closed his eyes under the willow tree while he went through the Occlumency technique several times...... He is now more and more proficient in the use of Occlumency!

The weather is getting hot and muggy, and as June 1st approaches, the final exams officially begin.

First up was the written test, and they used the latest version of the anti-cheat quill.

This kind of quill pen is much more difficult to write than a fountain pen or ballpoint pen, and the handwriting is much more ugly...... This made Jon can't help but criticize the backwardness and self-containment of the wizarding world in his heart.

The written test went quite smoothly, and with my excellent attention and sufficient review, there would be no big problems.

However, Astoria was a little worried after the Potions exam: "I don't remember the difference between scapular aconitum and wolf venom aconite, I have a blank ...... for that big question."

"Actually, they're a plant, collectively known as Aconitum aconitum!" Jon reassured her, "Don't worry, you're doing well in Potions class, and Professor Snape won't give you a low grade!"

Of course, in addition to the written exam, there is also a practical exam.

During the Charms exam, Professor Flitwick told them to enter the classroom one by one and let them try to make a pineapple tap dance across a desk.

Jon did a decent job, except that he accidentally let the pineapple fall on the last step...... Professor Flitwick gave him a look of regret and, after writing a line of numbers on his transcript, let him go.

In Transfiguration, Professor McGonagall asks them to turn a rat into a snuff box.

Jon became a snuffbox, not as elaborate as Ginny Weasley, but at least it didn't have any rat whiskers on it.

During the Potions exam, Professor Snape asked them to mix a pot of Forgotten Potion.

It only took Jon fifteen minutes to complete the steps, and when he finally added the liquorice liquid, Snape leaned over and looked at it for several minutes, still unable to find anything wrong.

In the herb class, Jon also only spent about fifteen minutes writing out the names of the thirty herbs that Sprout had shown.

"Full marks!" Professor Sprout sent him away with a smile as he left the greenhouse, secretly spoiling him.

The afternoon of the Quidditch exam was probably the worst of the year.

Jon rode the broomstick for only ten seconds before he was planted from the sky. Fortunately, he reacted in time and used a levitation spell on himself to avoid causing a tragedy.

Under Lady Hooch's angry gaze, Jon sneered away...... There is no doubt that the results of this exam are doomed to fail.

There were no practical classes in Astronomy and History of Magic, so only the last of the seven subjects that first-year students studied: the Defence Against the Dark Arts practical exam.

......

The Defence Against the Dark Arts practice exam was held in the previous classroom.

As Dumbledore calls out a student's name, the student follows Professor Dumbledore into the classroom and comes out a few minutes later.

"Sean Avery!"

The order is the same as the order of the Sorting Hat.

"Theresa Baker!"

"Colin Creevey!"

...... Each student came out with a different look on their faces, for example, the Ravenclaw girl named Teresa Baker walked out of the classroom with a cheerful and smiling face, and Colin Creevey from Gryffindor came out with her head bowed and her face full of shame.

Student by student, and soon, arrived......

"Astoria Greengrass!"

Astoria came out a moment later, with the same smile on her face.

As Jon passed, she whispered, "Come on!"

"Thank you!" Jon whispered back, and then Professor Dumbledore called out his name:

"Jon Hart!"

"Good morning, Jon!" Professor Dumbledore didn't proctolate as the other teachers did, and after months of teaching, he had memorized the names of every first-year student.

"Good morning, Professor!" Jon greeted honestly.

"Then let's start the exam!" Dumbledore smiled and waved his wand.

An active dummy with an ever-changing expression on his face appears in front of Jon.

"Try the Petrification Charm!" Dumbledore prompted.

"Petrificus Totalus!" Jon raised his emerald wand and calmly recited the incantation.

With a faint red light, the expression of the moving dummy froze, and it could no longer sway back and forth.

"It's beautiful!" Dumbledore waved his wand again, and the previous dummy disappeared in favor of a dummy with a stick.

"Try the Disarming Charm again!" Dumbledore reminded again.

During a Defence Against the Dark Arts class in early April, Professor Dumbledore had taught the spell to first-year students.

"Expelliarmus!"

There was another red light, and the wooden stick in the movable dummy's hand was knocked several yards away.

"Well done, Jon!" Dumbledore nodded, "Now you only need to complete the last step of the exam, and you can enjoy the summer!"

As he spoke, the second movable dummy also disappeared.

Then three wooden crates appeared in front of Jon.
