Chapter 347: The Land of Mountain Eagles (Third Update, Supplement)

Jon Hart was eating breakfast in the inn.

He arrived last night in the northern Albanian city called "Shkodar" and found a hotel to stay.

It took him a lot of effort to get to this city in the western Balkans. In the previous three days, he set out from Austria and passed through the three Slavic countries of Slovenia, Croatia and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia before finally arriving here.

Along the way, he relied on a variety of Muggle vehicles, and when crossing the border, he nimbly applied the "Illusion Charm" and the "Confusion Charm" without any trouble.

By the time we arrived in Shkodra it was already late at night...... Luckily, it's Albania's second largest city (although it has a population of less than 70,000) and both English and French are spoken, so finding a place to live is not a problem.

......

At breakfast, Jon was used to reading the newspaper.

However, the Daily Prophet apparently could not be sent to the distant Balkans, and Jon had an English version of the Balkan Contemporary (the most popular newspaper for Muggles there) in his hand, and he was bored flipping through its contents.

Most of the pages were filled with boring information, but when Jon flipped between the fifth and sixth editions, he was caught by a piece of news:

"There was sad news last night from the Transylvanian plateau in Romania.

In a small town called 'Gileu', the mayor's fifteen-year-old daughter, Gina Pistor, came home a few hours later than usual last night after she traveled to Cluj-Napoca for a friend's birthday party. At 11 p.m., the mayor of the town, Mr. Pistor, discovered the anomaly and mobilized the entire town to search for her, and finally found Miss Pistor's body in a black forest about a mile from the town, on the banks of the Muresh River.

Miss Pistol's throat appears to have been bitten by some ferocious beast and she has a claw mark on her face, but the real cause of her death was an acute heart attack, according to the medical examiner, and Mr. Pistol said that his daughter had no history of heart disease.

Details are to be reported further, so stay tuned to the Balkan Contemporary. ”

"Throat cut by a beast and died of a sudden heart attack?" Jon muttered as he put down the newspaper.

To be honest, a Muggle girl who was suddenly murdered had nothing to do with him, and such tragedies can happen every day all over the world...... But a person who has never had a history of heart disease dies of an acute heart attack;

The Killing Curse, also known as the Avada Curse, causes the heart to stop beating for a moment, leaving no trace of the rest...... Therefore, the forensic diagnosis can only be an acute heart attack.

So, there is a high probability that this girl was killed by a wizard?

The newspaper also attached a picture of the girl's face mosaic, but the wound on her neck was quite clear.

With the experience of his past life, Jon could vaguely tell - this looks like a canine scar?

Canines, plus the "Killing Curse...... Could it be that this tragedy was done by a dark wizard werewolf?

And so on, according to legend...... Transylvania is not the territory of the vampire Count Dracula, that is, the lair of the vampires;

Jon pondered as he put the newspaper away, no longer allowing his eyes to notice the somewhat cruel photograph, after all, he still had to eat.

Whether it's a werewolf or a vampire, it has nothing to do with you...... Transylvania and Albania are thousands of kilometers apart, far away.

......

During the meal, there was a small interlude.

At the next table sat a hairy-looking guy who angrily tossed a pot of lamb stew to the ground and yelled at the innkeeper for what he had done!

The surrounding travelers looked at his hideous appearance and fled from his location.

Looking at the innkeeper with a sad face and explaining to him, Jon only thought it was a little funny—

Eating roast lamb for breakfast, this weirdo is also a talent.

Continuing to eat his breakfast, Jon pulled out a pamphlet entitled "Arlene Shafiq Takes You Around Europe", with a rather beautiful witch on the cover, waving at him.

The booklet's author, Miss Shafiq, is a well-known British traveller who has travelled all over Europe, so her travel booklet is also quite informative...... During the days Jon lived at the Leaky Cauldron, he went to the Blotted Bookstore and bought a copy.

...... starting with A Albania...... You don't have to turn it, it's on the first page.

"First of all...... Albania, the 'Land of Mountain Eagles', is a country located in southeastern Europe and southwestern in the Balkans.

The name of the country of mountain eagles comes from the national hero of Albania, George Skanderbeg. Skanderbeg (1405-1468) was born into a noble family of the Byzantine Empire. At the time of his birth, Ottoman cavalry crossed the Balkans, and Skanderbeg's father resisted and surrendered after defeat, while giving his young son to the Sultan as a hostage.

Skanderbeg grew up in Istanbul and grew up to be a general in the Ottoman Empire. However, in 1443, when Hungary went to war with the Ottomans, he returned to Kruja with 300 Albanian cavalry, deceived the city gates with a forged letter, and declared Albania's independence.

Later, the Ottoman sultans besieged the city of Kruja three times, but they were all repulsed by Skanderbe. Legend has it that when in battle, Skanderbeg could transform into a giant double-headed eagle and swoop down from the sky to tear apart his enemies, which is why he won every battle.

So after that, Albania has always used the double-headed eagle as a flag......"

......

It was still quite interesting to write, and Jon watched it with relish, until he noticed that someone was coming—

Jon quickly closed the book in his hand, and then covered the witch on the cover with his hand.

What appeared in front of him was a gentleman who looked elegant, in his thirties.

"Wizard?" he lowered his voice and said, "Don't worry, so do I!"

He gestured to the bulging part of his waist and gestured to a wand there.

"Yes. Jon nodded, no longer hiding the witch on the cover.

"William Smith, from England. The elegant wizard held out a hand in a friendly manner.

Jon shook his hand, then calmly replied:

"Christoph Patrick, from Austria. ”
