53 Dragon-like Linde worms
Ace knew he was in the mouth of some kind of creature.
As he rolled into the crack with Catherine in his arms, the two men fell silently downward. There was no light in the crack, and the only thing that could be seen was the shiny crack at the top.
Ace didn't expect to survive. The cave in the crack is bottomless, and falling can only be broken to pieces. So Ace hugged Catherine tightly, seizing the last time to snuggle.
However, when the crack above their heads became the length of a finger, they were bitten by something.
Ace doesn't know much about the underworld, and it's hard to imagine what the creatures living in this crack would be like. But there is no doubt that this creature is definitely not small. Otherwise, it would be impossible to swallow him and Catherine whole.
For some reason, they weren't immediately chewed and swallowed into their stomachs. Sometimes, though, being alive is more of an ordeal. Two rows of huge teeth didn't feel good on the body, not to mention a sticky tongue that squirmed back and forth and swept across the face.
Simply As's nasal passages were quickly clogged with mucus on his tongue, so that he could not smell the sour stench.
But breathing with your mouth open is actually not pleasant. The mucus that flowed into his mouth from time to time made Ace sick to his stomach. His sense of taste had lost function in less than a minute, but it didn't affect As, who felt like he had eaten a thousand stout slugs.
Catherine didn't wake up, which was a blessing.
Ace could feel the creature crawling toward the rift with himself and Catherine in its mouth. It's very fast, barely much slower than how quickly they fall. It climbed until it was about five or six meters away from the edge of the crack before it stopped.
It's a pity that from the gap between his teeth, Ace can only see the light at the crack, but he can't see the scene outside the crack.
The giant creature seemed to be waiting for something, and the cries of the dwarves were clearly audible outside the rift. It shook suddenly, then turned and quickly crawled down.
After a few moments, the giant creature stopped moving forward, clinging to the wall rock motionless. Ace heard the dwarves' shouts from above, and the sound grew louder and louder, and it seemed that all the dwarves were rushing towards them.
Ace didn't know what was going on, but the odd dwarves had apparently jumped into the cracks. They whizzed past and fell past the giant creatures.
Ace couldn't imagine how deep this crack was. The dwarves' shouts were reverberating, and even after the last dwarf had passed by them, they could still hear the echo of "whew, whew, whew" coming from under the crack.
"Interesting, I'm curious now, what kind of creature gave you to Zhuang Yueshu, Barium Na, Na, Cangzhihui, Youmu, Aoshun, Falcon, >, all of them were bad ideas. Ace was immediately a little annoyed, "What kind of golden shaman is caught, what if you catch it." These brainless guys have no scruples at all. ”
"Stupid. If you don't catch that golden shaman, you don't stand a chance at all. The goblin immediately replied, "That's the only one in the entire Dwarf tribe who can talk to intelligence, and the only one who can negotiate. It's just that our luck is not so good, this dwarf tribe has a dwarf warrior that is rare among the dwarves. ”
The goblin seemed to think for a moment, then added, "Strange, that golden shaman refuses to accept negotiations, his intelligence is far higher than that of the dwarf shaman I have met before. By the way, he seems to have evolved eyes, and this should be written down to evolve the dwarf shaman who evolved eyes. ”
"It's eyes. Ace habitually touched Catherine's chest, and the female mage's heartbeat was slow but steady, "And it looks like a ghost." ”
"The natives of the underworld have no eyes. The goblin said in an affirmative tone, "Evolving eyes means a breakthrough in one's own abilities." Unfortunately, I can't consult the encyclopedia about the evolution of life in the underworld, which has a detailed record. ”
As the two were talking, the creature let out two low "whines", its tongue sweeping back and forth over Ass and Catherine. As's breathing suddenly stagnated, and he hurriedly covered Catherine's face with his hand, how many female mages resisted the "watering" of some slime.
But compared to Catherine, who was asleep, Ass himself was not at all uncomfortable. It wasn't until he was about to faint that the tongue stopped attacking.
It was like a warning, and Ace didn't dare to talk to the goblins anymore, but waited silently in the mouth of the giant creature.
The massive creatures were moving rapidly downward, seemingly trying to bring them to the bottom of the cracks. Ace didn't know what the fate would be for him and Catherine, perhaps in the lair of the giant creature, slowly devoured.
I don't know how long it has been, but Ace has entered a semi-comatose state. Suddenly, the creature's tongue curled up against him and Catherine, and they both popped out of their mouths.
They tumbled and fell into a pond. The water in the pond was cold and bitter, and Ace was soaked and immediately came to his senses. He shuddered and opened his eyes, only to see a large head facing him.
Ever since dealing with the black dragon Hermes, Ace has become a little sensitive to dragons. Although the skull in front of him was covered with tiny brown scales, its pupils were too narrow and long, and it also had curved horns that didn't look like they belonged to dragons. But Ace's judgment is that this should be the head of a dragon.
"Turns out we've been in the dragon's mouth. That was As's first thought. This makes sense, what kind of huge creatures can swallow them whole. Then he hurried left and right, and when he saw Catherine lying beside him, he let out a long sigh of relief.
Ace wasn't too afraid of dragons, not that he thought he could fight them. It's just that in his opinion, no dragon will be more difficult to deal with than Hermes.
As powerful as Hermes, he also ended up with no bones, and the dragon in front of him was obviously far less powerful than Hermes. At least it didn't show the breathless coercion that the dragon possessed.
Of course, Ace is not too relaxed. The dragon had no intention of eating them, and naturally he would not let go of this chance to survive.
Ace knew that the dragons possessed intelligence that was not weaker than that of humans, so he tentatively picked up Catherine beside him. Sure enough, the dragon didn't react.
Catherine was cold, and her skin was even a little blue. It's a sign of freezing.
"If only I could make a fire. Ace took the female mage into his arms, trying to warm her up.
He looked around, and the pond was of some size, but there was water in all directions. Five or six meters away, there were a few large bare rocks lying in the water, the only dry place nearby.
"Can we go there?" Ace asked, pointing to the big rock, cautiously, "It's all water here, it's too cold." ”
He didn't know if the dragon living in the underground world could understand the language of the ground, but it never hurt to try.
But the dragon just looked at him, like a sluggish sculpture.
"Linde worm, I didn't expect this kind of creature to exist. This should be written down. ”
A familiar voice suddenly sounded, and Ace looked back. The goblin scholar was actually standing on the big rock he wanted to settle on, and he was buried in his notes.
I don't know when this old professor started to leave As's body. He was recording at a rapid pace, as if he was going to make up all the things that he had not been able to write down along the way.
"Come up, come up. The old professor didn't forget to greet As, "Don't soak in the water, come and rest with the female mage." Don't be afraid of that Lind bug. If the legend is correct, Lindworm is vegetarian. ”
