381 The Gate of the Fire Raven

"Open, Raven's Gate. The Ice Bear Abyss called out loudly.

Two huge black spots suddenly appeared in the raging fire, and from a distance, they looked like a pair of crow's eyes. Another dark spot cracked under his eyes, and a tongue of fire burst out. It was the fire crow that opened its beak and let out a silent cry at the sky. The tongue of fire dissipated, and a pitch-black channel formed in the fire crow's mouth, and I don't know where it extended.

"Let's go. The Ice Bear Abyss beckoned to Catherine, "Remember to take your horse." โ€

Catherine nodded, calmed her heart, and followed the old barbarian into the Fire Raven's Gate. The flames engulfed the black spot as soon as they and the horses entered, burning more and more violently.

The Ice Bear Abyss takes Catherine as she walks through a passage of flames. Although it had previously looked dark from the outside, the passage behind the door was actually made of flames. Catherine could even see the flame-shaped crows flying inside the flame wall from time to time.

"Where does this passage lead?" after walking hundreds of steps, with no end in sight, Catherine asked the Ice Bear Abyss.

"Didn't the soothsayer already say that the place where you can see the light is the mysterious place in the Raven Forest. The Ice Bear Abyss replied, "That place is deep in the forest, and although we have summoned the Fire Raven Gate without opening our own way, we will not be less than the distance we should walk. When you can go out depends on how well the enchantment world recognizes you. โ€

"Why me, shouldn't I be more recognized?"

"That's right. The figure of the Ice Bear Abyss faded, "So I'll be able to reach my destination soon." โ€

Before Catherine could ask another question, the Ice Bear Abyss vanished like a bubble. The female mage frowned slightly, and when she looked back, the flames were slowly extinguishing in the direction she was coming from, turning into endless darkness. A monster hidden in the shadows seems to be devouring it greedily. Catherine hurriedly rolled over and mounted her horse, galloping through the passage.

The darkness behind her was coming at Catherine faster and faster, and the passage ahead was still unreachable. How can we get further recognition from the enchantment world?

Unfortunately, Catherine didn't have time to think about it, just struggled to drive away the mount under her. At the end of the passage ahead, a pair of eyes, then a beak, and then a head, body, and wings suddenly appeared. It was a giant flame crow, it was so massive, it covered the entire passage, but it was nimble enough to fly through the passage.

Catherine couldn't comprehend what kind of existence it was, and couldn't even tell if it was her hallucination. "Quack" the flaming crow chirped and rushed towards Catherine. In just a few seconds, he pounced from the end of the passage to a distance of about ten meters from Catherine. It opened its mouth, and it was about to devour Catherine. Catherine hurriedly glanced behind her, the darkness was only a few meters away from her, and there was no way back.

Catherine had no room to think in the lightning, and she rushed forward with her eyes closed, meeting the great flaming raven. A wave of heat swept through her body, and Catherine opened her eyes to find a green field in front of her. She looked back, and the horse that had been following her was gone.

The crisis seems to have passed. Catherine looked around, it was a green field in the woods, obviously hidden deep in the depths of the Raven Forest, probably the mysterious place that the Ice Bear Abyss said. In the middle of the green space was a strange red buildingโ€”let's call it a building, like half an eggshell on the ground. The Ice Bear Abyss stood at the top of the eggshell and beckoned to Catherine.

Catherine drove forward, looking as she approached the eggshell building. There was nothing else here other than the building, including signs of biological activity, and the surroundings were eerily quiet, not at all like in the forest.

Catherine looked up at the sky, and dense crows hovered at an unknown height, like dark clouds floating high in the sky. Catherine could sense that the crows were croaking, but for some reason she couldn't hear them.

Walking to the eggshell, a wave of heat came to my face. Catherine jumped off her horse and reached out to touch the walls of the building, and sure enough, there was a temperature like flames. If you leave your hands for a little longer, you will get burned.

"Come up from over there. The sound of the Ice Bear Abyss came from overhead. Catherine saw the old savage pointing to one end of the eggshell.

Catherine walked over to the point where the Ice Bear Abyss was pointing, and saw a staircase leading to the top. As I climbed the stairs, bursts of heat poured in from under my feet. After walking a dozen or so steps, Catherine was already sweating profusely and her mouth was dry. There were hundreds of steps, and it took Catherine a quarter of an hour to reach the top. She seemed to be fished out of the water, surrounded by mist, sweat dripping down every step she took, and as soon as she touched the stone steps, she made a "bang" sound, which instantly turned into mist.

"This is the place where the mystery is. Catherine gasped and asked, "Did you find any clues to get out?"

"Nope. The Ice Bear Abyss stood on a white stone slab, "You'd better come to me, or you'll turn into a dry corpse sooner or later." โ€

Catherine walked up to the stone slab as she said, and the four sides suddenly cooled down, and the whole person was indescribably relaxed. She hurriedly sat down cross-legged and regained her strength.

"Do you remember what the soothsayer told you?" the Ice Bear Abyss asked her.

"Raven Forest at night is definitely not a good place to go. Only by finding a place where you can see the light and defeat an unknown and powerful enemy will you get a clue to the way out โ€“ a mysterious place that hides the answers you seek. "Catherine has a good memory and repeats it word for word.

"The conditions of time are best met, and legend has it that there is always night in the Raven Forest, because the crows hover over the forest to shade the sun. Where I can see the light, this is all I can think of. However, the light does not appear all the time, and we will have to wait. โ€

Catherine believes that the Ice Bear Abyss will not lie to herself, and the appearance of light is mostly conditional. "What is the unknown and powerful enemy, and can we really defeat it?"

"It's not us, it's you. That's a divination for you, and it has nothing to do with me. The Ice Bear Abyss looked up at the sky, "This world comes from my memories, so there will be no enemies I don't know. I can think of several possibilities, and while they are indeed powerful, they are not invincible. What's more, this is not a real Crow Forest, and all you have to face is my memories. After a while, as long as that unknown and powerful enemy does appear, it will be certain that we are not in the wrong place. Then I will tell you how to defeat it and find a clue to the way out. โ€
