276 Master Griggs is outside
As a female disciple of Quisling, Catherine knew more or less the details of the Skylight Lab. Even Master Griggs once sent her an invitation to visit Catherine's laboratory.
Catherine, of course, politely declined. She knew that the staff who could enter the Skylight Lab were all core disciples of Master Griggs. The idea of switching to the master sect was never considered by the only female disciple of Gisling.
There was a constant shaking sensation under her feet, and Catherine remembered a rumor. The Skylight Lab actually floats permanently in the air, but it appears to be a cloud on the outside, so no one can find its exact location.
However, rumors are just rumors, and while it seems like an opportunity to verify the veracity of rumors, Catherine has no interest in doing so. What she was looking for now was Master Griggs.
Where would Master Griggs be? There were no doors in the room, and the most striking thing was the skylight overhead.
Catherine walked to the other side of the room through the not-so-wide gap between the wooden tables. The three young staff members did not take their eyes off the experiment at hand, and Catherine realized that most of them were from the memories of Master Griggs. As the Will of Fire had said, what she could see was up to the master alchemist.
Master Griggs created the scene of the skylight laboratory, I don't know if it counts as a hint in some sense. Catherine didn't think the master would find a better place to talk to her.
The mage looked up at the skylight, but suddenly she noticed a spiraling metal staircase around her. Catherine was sure she hadn't missed anything in the room, and the spiral staircase was clearly the moment she looked up. It's like triggering the trap yourself.
Of course, the magical Catherine in the spirit world has long been strange, and a spiral staircase is not unusual. Rather, this is exactly the kind of guidance Catherine needs, and there is no doubt that Master Griggs is showing her way.
This master really likes to play with mystery, but making such a scene is suspected of wasting precious communication time.
But when Catherine made her way up to the second floor of the Skylight Lab, her thoughts were interrupted by the sight before her. More precisely, interrupted by the emptiness in front of me. Nothing, a white expanse. Catherine unconsciously looked down from the top of the staircase, the lab below was still there, and the staff continued to be busy. The busyness downstairs and the emptiness of the second floor are so incongruous.
Since there is no Master Griggs on the second floor. So where would he be?
Catherine frowned. Is Master Gusgoth playing hide and seek with himself? The communication channels that have been established with great difficulty can last for a very limited time.
"Master Griggs. Catherine shouted helplessly, "Where are you? ”
There was a knocking sound overhead, and Catherine followed the sound. Suddenly, I saw Master Griggs's huge face appear outside the skylight. It turned out to be the sound of Master Griggs tapping his fingers on the glass of the skylight.
Catherine stared at the alchemist outside the window dumbfounded. The master looked at Catherine as if he were a mouse in a cage.
Fortunately, the female mage was surprised. But he quickly calmed down.
"Master, it's a pleasure to see you again. Catherine unconsciously shouted at maximum volume.
Master Griggs nodded outside the skylight, then opened his mouth to say a few words. Unfortunately, Catherine couldn't hear anything.
"Master. I can't hear what you're saying. Catherine didn't have the ability to lip-read, "I can't hear anything you say, but you can hear me, can you?"
Master Griggs never had any expression on his face because of his metallic face. But from the look in his eyes, Catherine had already gotten the answer "yes". Griggs also made a gesture outside the window to show his helplessness.
Even if Catherine were given a hundred scenarios when she met Master Griggs again, she probably wouldn't have thought of the current situation. But she didn't have time to think about what went wrong.
"Master, I don't know what is causing you to be unable to communicate directly with me. Catherine decided to make this rare opportunity for communication as it should be, "but I want you to tell Mr. Guisling that I'm safe." I've escaped from the underworld, but right now at sea. I met the giants, the giants of the sea, and the silver dragon king. I mean the Silver Dragon King, one of the three great dragon kings of the ancients, Hemerzpuri. Hemmeziprie crashed into the Tower of Heaven built by the Giants and transformed herself into land. In fact, in the center of this land, it may be the location of the legendary dragon city 'Thunderbolt of Heaven'. ”
A few short sentences, containing a huge amount of information. Master Griggs probably understood Catherine's intentions and motioned for her to continue.
"But I don't know when I'll be able to reach the Thunderbolt, and it's unknown how long it will take to get back to the mainland. But you don't have to worry about me, I can take care of myself. Catherine quickened her voice, she wasn't sure how long this kind of soul exchange would last, "I also met a prophet named Scott. Sig was bound to the body of a demon lord for a long time, and he happened to be rescued by us and entered the body of As. He escaped from the underworld with us. ”
"Pop", Master Griggs suddenly knocked on the skylight, interrupting Catherine's narration. He was dancing a little, as if Catherine's words had irritated him.
"What did I say wrong?" asked Catherine tentatively.
Master Griggs shook his head.
"What did I just say is so important?"
Master Griggs nodded immediately.
"Is it about As?"
Master Griggs nodded and shook his head.
"That's Scott, the prophet. Catherine was not slow to react.
Master Griggs quickly pointed his finger, presumably saying "this is it".
"You know Scott, he's obviously important. Isn't he very dangerous?" Catherine began to guess what Griggs was trying to say. Since the alchemy master interrupted himself, it must mean some kind of special information.
Master Griggs nodded, but gestured with his hands.
Catherine understood Griggs' gestures, a guy who could become a demon lord was naturally a dangerous person, but he didn't get to the point.
"He can tell me important information, it's nonsense. As Catherine spoke, she added, "A prophet means seeing through the future, and if he is willing to say it, he can help me." You're certainly not trying to tell me that. Scott can help me, and I should use him, but he doesn't prophesy easily. In order for him to prophesy, there must be a price, and this level of exploitation is actually an equivalent exchange. (To be continued......)
