Chapter Ninety-Two: Manton vs. Duke
In the midst of the sea of flowers, Duke flicked the bangs in front of his forehead, smiled at Manton not far away, stretched out his right hand, slowly clenched into a fist, and then poked his thumb sharply downward, letting out a disdainful laugh.
As the saying goes, you can't beat others in a fight, but this arrogant momentum can't be weak!
"Huh!" Manton ignored Duke's provocation, and a silver-gray mist of light spilled out of his palm, like a tiny snake, slowly winding up his fingertips.
The silver-gray ray of light flashed in the field, and it suddenly ejected from Duke's feet at a tricky angle of refraction, and then only a plop was heard, and Duke had already fallen backwards uncontrollably, and then fell to the ground with a hard butt in the confusion on his face.
There was an eerie silence in the field for a few seconds, and everyone was stunned and expressionless as they looked at Duke who was sitting on the ground, unable to react.
Poof!
Suddenly, a shrill laughter rang out from the audience, and one of Duke's old faces turned red in an instant, grinding his teeth, and looking at Jade in annoyance, from which the previous laughter had come.
Jade pretended to be innocent with "I don't know anything", coughed a few times, then put his hands on his chest, looked ahead with a serious expression, and glanced at Duke from time to time.
"Why don't you follow the process! Isn't this the time for the two sides to talk ruthlessly and show each other's acting skills?!" Duke blushed, pulled his throat, and shouted loudly in annoyance.
"Humph!" Manton, however, just looked at Duke coldly, and let out a rather playful snort.
"In that case, don't think that you can go back safe and sound today!" Duke couldn't help but be annoyed, and his eyes became very sharp in an instant.
With his arms outstretched, the strange lines of pitch-black slowly spread out from the sleeves on both sides of his clothes, and every inch of his skin that squirmed was like a dripping infection of black blood, cold and evil.
The black streak quickly clings to the ten fingers at its end, rendering its hands completely black.
Cook looked fixedly, in that strange pitch black, he couldn't feel any energy fluctuations, some, just a kind of panic and anxiety from the depths of his heart, as if he was on the edge of the world, and the next second was the palpitation of falling into the abyss of darkness forever.
"[Nothing] execution, encroachment on the present world!" Duke trembled slightly with his fingers, his hands clenched weakly, and a majestic and shocking low voice suddenly sounded, hitting Cook deep in his excited heart, and his expectant gaze was firmly fixed on Duke's body.
I saw that Duke's hands were strangely twisted, and the space in the two places was constantly twisted under the condition that could be perceived by the naked eye, like a constantly flipping mirror, and the picture began to collapse in a continuous cycle, showing two colorful intertwined spherical crystal planes, rotating rapidly in the air.
Dots of dazzling light sparks burst out from the space, and the space on the surface of the crystal plane was also completely torn apart under the rapid rotation, and the black spatial cracks carried a terrifying sense of oppression, gradually releasing the terrifying nothingness that was sealed behind the taboo.
Nothingness is like the boundless darkness that spreads out, although it is only revealed a little, but it gives Cook and the others a boundless sense of insignificance and powerlessness, which is very strange, but so real.
Under Duke's indifferent gaze, the dark nothingness surrounded all corners of the spherical crystal plane, like a falling curtain, completely enveloping it in darkness, and two strange black crystals were formed.
"Hmph!" Duke lifted his hands and hovered the black crystal over his shoulders, and let out a mocking snort of disdain towards Manton, who was obviously confident in himself by his proud posture.
Manton snorted disappreciatively, looked at Duke with a lazy gaze, and said lightly: "How about it, have you finished it? ”
"It's not certain who will be beaten!" Duke smiled coldly, stretched out the five fingers of his right hand, and grabbed it fiercely in the direction where Manton was.
Click, click......
A crisp sound like a mirror shattering suddenly sounded, and under Cook's terrified gaze, Manton's body quickly collapsed, and thin cracks quickly spread up from under his feet, and soon Manton's entire body was completely invaded.
Finally, with a crisp loud sound, Manton's body finally couldn't support it, and turned into dense mirror light points scattered all over the ground.
"Wouldn't it?!" Cook looked at the scattered fragments of light in horror, and his brain went blank for a moment.
The pitch-black spatial cracks filled the place where Manton was before, and the overflowing void was scattered on the fragments, eating them up little by little, cruel and abnormal, but also cold.
"You guy, you know you've run away a long time ago. Duke looked at the fragments of light that had been completely devoured, sighed helplessly, and looked towards a pavilion behind him.
There, Manton was yawning incessantly, as if he had not shown the slightest interest in the competition.
"Why did you open the nothingness there, if you guessed? Manton smiled casually and looked at Cook with a frightened face on his face.
"Senior, why are you ......" Cook was already a little speechless in shock, and after a few blank glances at Manton, he refocused on the previous fragment.
How could he not be horrified and surprised that he had seen Manton crushed by nothingness before, and now that he had suddenly seen a living person on the other side!
Is it an ability? It's definitely an ability! But how does it work?
"This is Manton's [plane forgery], the illusion created by the reflection of a large number of spatial mirrors of the place where he was before, and the actual person is no longer there. Fenris explained to Cook on the side.
Cook looked at Fenris in confusion, his brow furrowed, and he gradually fell into deep thought.
"Mirror, fall!" Manton stepped out of the pavilion, his lips trembling, and an imperceptible whisper wafted out of it.
The walls around the entire underground garden were filled with a slight ripple, like a dragonfly dotting water, and the ripples of the space quickly dissipated and stabilized, as if nothing had happened.
A mysterious smile hung on the corner of Manton's mouth, and he lifted his steps lightly and stepped forward again.
When this step fell, a circle of strange colored ripples suddenly appeared in the sea of flowers, and the ripples carried a light and soft feeling, which filled the field of vision of everyone in the audience in an instant.
After a slight dizziness, Cook stared carefully, and he was shocked to find that there were more than a dozen figures in the field at once, arranged in an unusual manner, completely enveloping Duke.
Feng –
A metal-like buzzing sound suddenly rang out, and Duke quickly turned around, the space in front of him completely collapsed and destroyed in an instant, and the flowing void swallowed up a small silver-gray flake.
"Go!" Duke waved his right arm forward, and a black crystal suspended on his shoulder tore through the space, quickly escaping into it and disappearing.
The next second, another Manton's projection turned into fragments and completely cracked, and there, a black crystal was dripping and spinning.
"Displace!" After a projection shattered, Manton's whispers rang out abruptly from the field, and the constant echoes made it impossible to distinguish which one was Manton's body.
And with Mandu's whisper, many projections in the field turned into waves of brilliance, completely disintegrating in a breath, and then condensed in the next second, gathering more and more towards the place where Duke was.
"Huh. Manton's cold chuckle suddenly sounded, and Duke's body tensed up for a moment, and then slowly floated upwards uncontrollably, as if it was squeezed by something transparent.
"What's the use of these things!" Duke, who was imprisoned in mid-air, felt the tight squeezing sensation coming from front and back of his body, and suddenly smiled wildly and shouted loudly.
At this moment, another black crystal was like a molten ice cube, turning into a gurgling black liquid that completely covered Duke's body, and then it condensed sharply, from the initial size of a humanoid, into a small drop of liquid, and then escaped into space and disappeared.
There was an eerie silence in the field, and everyone stared fixedly at the silent mid-air, quietly waiting for Duke to appear.
"Break!" After a long silence, Duke's shouts suddenly rang out, and a black curtain of water quickly emerged from a space, revealing Duke's figure again.
The difference is that behind him, a pair of huge black diamond-shaped wings are slowly stirring, supporting Duke to levitate in midair, and at the end of the wings are the two black crystals.
The tips of the wings were sharp, inserting into the space on either side, and the cracks spread out from one of them.
Manton's many projectors raised their heads, looked at Duke in mid-air, frowned slightly, and then folded his hands abruptly.
A series of spatial mirrors condensed out of mid-air, converging towards the center, gradually turning into silver-gray concrete mirrors, becoming more and more condensed in the air.
This is the first time that Cook has seen the spatial mirrors created by Manton with the naked eye, and they are not completely integrated with space, making it impossible for people to capture their existence.
The silver-gray brilliance of the ability finally exposed them completely, and its flawless smooth plane posture was finally seared into the depths of Cook's mind.
Finally, after the unity of the last spatial mirror, the silver-gray flat mirror in the center was completely realized, and the cold light emitted was like a bright moonlight, which was both cold and pure, but also weirdly cold.
Duke looked at the large silver-gray mirror that Haruka was pointing at him in the distance, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but smile wickedly arrogant.
